Predators And The Antarctic Heat Source

Charles Wieland, a towering figure in the communications industry, hailed from European aristocracy in his early years. Transitioning into the communications sector, he never veered from this path.

Recently, their satellites, designed for underground mine exploration, unexpectedly detected an unknown heat source in the Antarctic. This piqued their interest, leading to a startling discovery – hidden beneath the Antarctic ice were structures resembling pyramids.

The questions loomed: Who built them, and when?

With no human presence in the South Pole and the seemingly impossible task of using stones to construct these mysterious pyramids, the enigma deepened.

.....

Observing this, Varion couldn't help but connect the dots. "Isn't this where the Predator completed its rite of passage?"

Amused by the find, Varion recalled the incident involving an Alien Queen, three Predators, and a Predator. It appeared to be an opportunity.

"Mousse, let's scan the solar system with the scientific research vessel to check for signs of alien spacecraft."

Hidden on Mars, the scientific research vessel and Titan spacecraft remained concealed. The quantum program remained dormant unless activated, rendering them unknown entities in the solar system. This was crucial for energy storage, a vital factor as they aimed to expand the Kryptonian population.

"Affirmative, sir."

Considering their critical developmental phase, Varion pondered the energy problem. Despite sufficient energy on the scientific research ship, it wasn't ideal. Varion's eyes sparkled, hinting at a revelation – with a particular kind of energy, energy shortages might never be a concern.

Three minutes later, feedback from the Mars Science Rover arrived.

Zizi... A projection materialized, revealing a massive spaceship concealed over Earth's South Pole, indicating it had been there for a while.

"Mousse, assess the threat level."

"Sir, based on the scientific research vessel's scan, the spacecraft exhibits violent energy fluctuations. Reactively, it aligns with interstellar standing spacecraft, generally posing a danger."

Notably, the spacecraft's image displayed a flagship with a hull spanning hundreds of meters – formidable even among Jagged Civilization vessels.

"What about the occupants?"

"There are 133 unknown life forms on the spacecraft, consistent with the iron-blooded civilization life form depicted by the higher-ups."

He drummed his fingers on the table, contemplating how to handle these situations and what benefits he could derive from them. If his goal was solely to acquire the Alien Queen, waiting until the end might suffice. After all, as per the plot, the Alien Queen would eventually be encased in ice.

"However, the Predator's involvement is crucial!"

This was his main concern. Through the Predator's spaceship, there might be a chance to locate their home planet. The prospect of every race being born and multiplying was a miraculous phenomenon, and miracles were worth adding to his collection.

Mousse directly contacted Wieland, and a few hours later, Varion arrived at the Wieland Industrial Building.

"Mr. Varion, a pleasure to meet you. I was expecting to see you."

"Mr. Wieland, you're very kind."

Wieland was in a good mood. Having learned from reliable sources that Krypton Technology possessed a potion that could enhance strength, he had been eager to obtain it. His health was deteriorating, and time might be limited. However, he hadn't found a suitable opportunity to acquire the potion until now.

Wieland studied Varion, realizing that someone like him wouldn't come without a reason. "So, Mr. Varion, you came to me today to...?"

"I almost forgot. I heard Mr. Wieland recently discovered something intriguing in Antarctica."

Wieland narrowed his eyes, "Mr. Varion's information is remarkably well-informed. You caught wind of it quite swiftly."

"Don't forget, Mr. Wieland, it's not just Wieland Industries with satellites over Antarctica. If you don't act, others might."

Wieland took a sip from his water glass, remaining silent. Varion wasn't surprised. While this was the case, Wieland had conditions. His silence indicated he was open to negotiation—businessmen always aimed to maximize profits.

Varion grinned, "I've heard that Mr. Wieland isn't in the best health?"

"Yeah. Everyone reaches a point where they're old."

"You're not just old; cancer is a formidable opponent. I understand. Consider this an investment for your future. The R-1 drug may not cure cancer, but our company's targeted drugs can certainly extend your lifespan."

"No need for beating around the bush, Mr. Wieland. I can provide you with a portion of the R-1 potion, but in return, I need to be part of this expedition. If you don't agree, I can always go on my own. You know, I have the ability to do so."

Wieland reluctantly nodded, recognizing the reality of the situation. Despite his reservations, he knew that not only Varion but a significant portion of the world possessed similar abilities, and many surpassed his own. If he didn't act swiftly, such unique opportunities might slip away.

"It's a pleasure to cooperate, Mr. Varion, but we agreed in advance that we have the right to choose what's involved," Wieland stated firmly, ensuring everyone understood the terms.

"Agreed."

Um? Wieland was surprised at Varion's immediate acceptance. What was Varion hoping to gain? Did he possess unique knowledge?

Within two days, Wieland organized a fully equipped team, assembling individuals from around the world on an icebreaker. Due to the unique location of their destination, landing by plane was impractical, necessitating the use of the icebreaker.

Inside the cabin, a diverse group awaited their mission.

A black man stepped forward, addressing the crowd, "Everyone, this time we're all in the same boat. I trust you're aware of the situation. Now, let me introduce Mr. Wieland and Mr. Varion."

As they walked out, the cabin lights dimmed, and a virtual projection materialized. Varion displayed a subtle displeasure, noting that the technology employed here was not far behind the advanced equipment used by special forces.

Nonetheless, it couldn't match his own capabilities.

"Welcome, everyone. This matter is urgent, so let me brief you on the situation. A few days ago, our prospecting satellite detected significant energy fluctuations in Antarctica. After analysis, we obtained this pattern."

A pattern resembling pyramids appeared on the projection, but it differed significantly from conventional pyramids, incorporating various elements.

Wieland pointed at the image, explaining, "Through thermal mapping, I discovered that this is a pyramid. It's grand, housing hundreds of rooms. Observing these pyramids, you'll notice distinct differences. My experts have identified Aztec and Grameen cultural characteristics, along with a simple village style. However, there's also an Egyptian influence on one side. They couldn't reach a consensus, which is why you are all here."
