55 Good Bye

Varion grinned, "What does it matter? Strictly speaking, I'm human, but not the same kind. Oh, I forgot to tell you, Isaac should be nothing but ashes by now. Your future is in your hands."

After a penetrating gaze, he boarded the scientific research vessel, indifferent to Earth's affairs.

Carlos observed the wind-mediated potion in Alice's hand. The situation had twisted and turned unexpectedly. Alice's suspicions were justified.

Where were they from? What were their intentions? Unknown.

But what did it mean to her now? A person she deemed an adversary placed her hope in her hands, someone she thought could cooperate had been mercilessly killing humans.

"What's your plan?"

Alice touched the wind-mediated potion, "Put an end to it all."

"You know your power comes from the T virus. Using this might kill you," Wesker warned.

"Maybe that's what sets us apart from you. Why not make things more interesting than what you did before?"

Wesker glanced around, his associates subtly encircling him. Did he have a choice?

"Seems like a fitting choice."

Alice nodded, "You won't regret it."

Isaac perished, Varion nuked the hive base, rendering survival virtually impossible—Umbrella was done.

Alice and her companions injected the human evolution potion again. Their abilities were unparalleled. Regardless, they knew how to make the right choices.

Perhaps, after Alice released the wind-borne potion, she could rise again?

Nobody knew if the wind-borne potion would be her demise. From Varion's perspective, the likelihood was substantial. When he raised his arms, the world remained within his grasp.

As for Isaac? Hey, was Wesker truly loyal to him?

Not necessarily. They were a bunch of paranoid individuals. Unleashed from their constraints, the unpredictable could occur. Varion couldn't definitively say if destroying Isaac was beneficial or detrimental, but it marked a beginning.

.....

In space, within the research vessel.

"Commander, everyone's in the dormant chambers."

"Good, you can go too. When you wake up, you'll be in a new world."

S1 nodded, heading to his dormant chamber. Infused with knowledge, they grasped the immense pressure Varion bore. The rise of their entire civilization hinged on his solitary efforts.

"Mousse, have you gathered everything I instructed?"

"Yes, sir. In addition to necessary supplies, there are T viruses, serums, Alice clones, and 300 precision tactical nuclear bombs."

"The ship has been completely scaned. As for the exterior, when we propel the ship into space, there'll be no T virus left."

Satisfaction radiated from Varion. Though nuclear bombs paled compared to the plasma cannon on the research vessel, they were better than the unknown.

Everyone understood their power. Peace and equal communication stemmed from mutual possession.

He wasn't a war fanatic, but if a few nukes could create fireworks, he wouldn't mind.

When it came to zombies, Varion didn't bother with them, not even deploying an excellent licker or a tyrant. At first glance, these creatures seemed formidable, but with the T virus in hand, they posed no real threat.

Even if the world utilized the T virus's wind-borne medicine, recovery would take time, not to mention the challenges of spreading the medicine globally. The widespread withering of vegetation had far-reaching consequences that extended beyond a single region. Restoring the Earth to its original state would require considerable time and effort.

Humans, despite their intelligence, often succumbed to irrational desires for power, akin to a poisonous influence that could deceive anyone who touched it.

.....

Varion communicated with the mysterious power in his mind, and energy enveloped the entire scientific research spacecraft. In the next instant, it vanished into space, leaving no trace of its departure, much like its sudden appearance.

....

All the supplies he had obtained materialized before Varion.

[Number S-T-001: the T virus]

[Number S-T-002: a clone of Alice]

These were the two most intriguing elements in this world, both in Varion's possession. The potential of the T virus might not be as limited as he initially thought.

Varion speculated that the T virus might manifest different powers in various worlds. If he recalled correctly, there were multi-universe zombie scenarios in both the Marvel and DC worlds.

.....

The scene remained surreal, with distorted light and particles, resembling a mysterious creature whispering in one's ear or a giant beast roaring. The spacecraft traversed this space, but time became elusive, passing by in weeks, months, or perhaps even longer.

It wasn't a sensation acting on the material body but something more profound. Initially, Varion managed to endure, but exhaustion eventually overcame him. He passed out in the main control room, leaving the spacecraft in silence, desolation, and mystery.
