THE REASON FOR ARROGANCE

The power of whip which was actually a Grade-5 weapon was far more terrifying than they had initially imagined it to be. It's damage output was far more insane that they had imagined it to be.

What is even more terrifying about a Grade-5 weapon is that it will drain very little Soul Power of the user to gather three times more Spiritual Energy of the Heaven and Earth to cause the damage. That means a person can last three times more than a Grade-5 weapon. This is a terrifying aspect of the Grade-5 weapon.

When Rick dodged the first attack, Cohan wasn't surprised. He was well aware that Rick and others were very strong combat masters. And the fight has just started. So how could he be disappointed with the first attack's failure?

He used his black whip and lashed it towards Rick. The whip carried on the same momentum just like the last time and tried to caused some damage on Rick's body. But Rick, just like the last time, he easily dodged it.

"A Grade-5 weapon is impressive indeed." ,Rick smiled and said, "And it made you even better tool for my combat experience. It's better if you take out other weapons like these. I like to put myself in a precarious situation for the Combat experience. Only during the situation like these when my instincts will develop to a new level."

People became speechless after hearing this. One had to remember that Cohan is actually one of the top figure from the younger generation of the Raven Sect. Even if he was a trash from the Raven Sect, he would have been feared by the people due to the name of his sect.

As for Cohan, he wasn't trash at all. In fact, he is the second strongest person in the entire Raven Sect among the junior generation in the Raven Sect.

"I don't understand you people at all. The more you speak like this about me or my sect, the bigger the danger was for you people. And yet you people keep on repeating the same mistake again and again." ,Cohan asked, "Why are you doing this? Why are you keep on antagonising my sect while everyone fears it?"

"It doesn't matter. You want an answer? Then I will give you one." ,Rick said, "We never had any feud against you people. In fact, before coming here, we don't even know about the existence of the Raven Sect. But in a restaurant, one of your sect member tried to take one of our female companion forcefully. And we killed him in return. And that's how you people started to come after his. You sent assassins against us. You wanted us to die despite the mistake lied with you and your sect."

Rick continued, "We were already against each other. You people already tried to kill us. It was actually started by you people. No matter what, you people will never stop until you eliminate all of us. We made some research on your people. And from our research, we learnt that, you people will never let your target off."

"So let me ask you a question?" ,Rick asked, "After knowing all this, why would we give a damn about your Raven Sect? Why would we give a damn about your sect when we knew that you people won't stop hunting us until we were killed? We know that it is pointless."

Rick continued, "So instead of trying to find some peace from you people, we would rather die fighting bravely. Even though chances for our death is very high, we won't yield in front of you bastards. When people talk about us, they will either talk about us as a bunch of stupid people. Or they will call us a group of brave people. Despite the results, we will be viewed uniquely right?"

Rick continued, "When people talk about all the people killed by your Raven sect, they will say about us differently. In their hearts, we will be a bunch of brave people. And this is why or attitude against you people is quite different."

Of course, Rick told half-truth and half lie. He was just trying to toy with Cohan. But the people who heard all this remained speechless. But despite whatever it is, they knew that Rick had a strong point. No matt how much they plead, the Raven Sect won't let Arjun and others die. It is an indisputable truth. So why would you give a damn about the Raven Sect when you know that pleading for mercy is impossible?

So if that is the case then why would a person who knew that there will be no peace between him and the Raven Sect would give a damn about the Raven Sect?

With this, they understood the logic behind Arjun and others' lack of fear and respect for the Raven Sect.

Cohan went silent. Most of the people would take their chances and plead for the mercy. But Rick and Cohan knew very well that the Raven Sect would never tolerate even the slightest bit of disrespect towards them.

They would never care about even the Royal Clan to some extent. So why would they care about a mere bunch of barbarians to begin with?

Cohan didn't speak any further. He knew that the words are useless at this point. He always wondered where exactly their confidence come from to antagonise the Raven Sect which no one else did it in the past.

But now that he got his answer, nothing else matters anymore. He used his whip once again and attacked Rick. And just like the previous occasions, Rick dodged it pretty easily.

"You are really good at dodging." ,Cohan said with expressionless face, "But if you think that this is all my whip can do, then you are wrong. I was just trying to test your power with just a mere whip. Since you are really good at dodging, then I will let you witness the true strength of my whip."

Suddenly the glow on the black whip started to intensified even further. People clearly felt it. Most of them never seen any Grade-5 weapon. Especially those from the poor city.

But today they started to feel the true difference between the Grade-4 and Grade-5 weapon.

As people were wondering what will happen next, something happened. The whip started to expand in length. At the beginning it was just an ordinary whip with 8m in length.

But now not only it's aura grew, it's size also grew. As it stopped growing, people measured it to be around 50m now!

"You are good at dodging right?" ,Cohan smiled and said, "Let us see how you will dodge it now."

Rick who looked at everything narrowed his eyes as he became serious.
