Strange Invasions (Part 5)

This oni said about humans being involved. This vaguely reminds me of the Onikiri Decree where the humans and beastkins alike hunt down onis because they were deemed dangerous due to their power, especially their Unique Skill exclusive to onis called 'Kihou', meaning Oni Cannon.

Kihou is a powerful non-elemental magic attack where onis gather magic in their horns and fire a beam of concentrated energy at their opponents. That skill in-game is powerful and has a wide AOE when it hits.

However, it is only possible if a player is at least a Oni. But that skill have weaknesses.

Kihou has a long 3 second charge, it shoots at a straight line, it has a high MP cost, the user cannot move while firing, and it stuns the user after use for 2 seconds.

There are ways to offset the drawbacks, but the most obvious way is to level up and evolve.

I check the stats of Gourai.

Despite him not having magic, he got Aura with him to compensate. With him having Super Resistance on top of other resistances, he could be every magic user's nightmare. Although Red Onis are weak to Ice and Water, they still remain dangerous even at low health.

I don't care if he is at Rank C, Onis in general are nasty when it comes to power.

"Hey man, I come in peace. Friis told you that I am a innocent human." I said in hopes to calm Gourai down.

"LIES!!" Gourai roared and dashed towards me encased with burning red aura, becoming a burning fireball.

I summoned a thick wall out of earth and used Shadow Sneak to make him think I hid behind the wall. As he approaches the wall, he winds his fist and used his monstrous strength.

*BRA-KOOOM!!*

Gourai punched the wall of stone, reducing it to mere rubble.

I cancel my Shadow Sneak and found saw him 10 feet away.

I used Earth Magic from the rubble and transformed it into 10 perfect spheres at the size of baseballs.

I launched 1 sphere at Gourai at 30 miles per hour.

*CRASH*

Gourai smashed the ball into tiny pebbles with the back of his hand. He then looked back and glared at me with his veins bulging from his neck to his temple.

"Are you looking down at me, boy? With this pitiful magic?" Gourai growled.

I expected this. Red Onis are known to be aggressive and puts strength above all else.

When someone stronger than them happen to play with them, they get pretty pissed.

So, I will use their anger to my advantage.

"Gourai, young Kain, there is no reason to fight!" Friis yelled, trying to speak reason.

"Friis, go get the chieftain." I said using Wind Magic to transmit my message to him and only him.

"Gourai is not an opponent you can fight against." Friis then spoke in a defeated tone, "If you leave, then--"

I didn't let him finish.

"Sorry buddy, I'm making sure you ain't blowing all that hot air." I taunted at Gourai.

The Oni guardsmen dropped their jaws at my obvious taunting. They became scared as if they knew that Gourai will react violently to that taunting.

"The human taunted Gourai..." one of oni guard said.

"Why would you provoke him!?" Friis yelled while he is running to the gate. I waved at him as he disappeared.

Gourai, who heard my taunt made his veins bulge even more. The aura around him emerged.

"You dare belittle..." He growled. "MY STRENGTH!?!?"

*BWOOOSH!*

Gourai roared at me and so too his aura. Dust and wind blew forth from his sheer pressure.

I prepared my 10 earth projectiles and turned them into spikes.

Then, I noticed something wrong. Gourai's horns began glowing red.

The Oni guardsmen realized it has escalated too far.

"Master Gourai, you're going to use your Kihou on the human!?" one of the oni yelled.

"He not only dodged my attacks, he undermines our pride. If I don't show my full power, how will I live with such shame!?" Gourai yelled as his horns glowed brighter.

"Woah, are you serious? Already!?" I said. I wasn't expecting him to use Kihou this soon! I was hoping he'd rush in, but he really wants to show his power.

I dropped my Earth Magic and switched to Fire and Lighting Magic to match his Kihou.

"The human can use three elements without chanting?" one oni said.

"Stop Master Gourai!" said the other.

"And face his wrath?" the other oni protested.

"You wanna go all out? Fine, I'll play your game." I said, smirking. I combined my two magics to make Plasma Magic.

[Attention. Two strong entities approaching fast.]

Knowing that there are two onis stronger than him, I cancelled my Plasma Magic and put my hands behind my back.

Gourai took this gesture that he was not even worth my time nor the dirt underneath my shoes.

"Arrogant to the end, huh? Fine." Gourai said.

*Bweee!!*

Gourai's horns glowed even brighter and causes the dust to swirl around him. A little red dot materializes itself near the horn and grows in size and power. It soon grew to a size of 5 feet in diameter.

"Then take your arrogance to the afterlife!" Gourai declared. "KIHOU!"

The red ball of energy screams and the two shadows jumped above the outer walls.

*BREEEE!!!*

"YOU MUSCLE-HEADED MORON!!!" the voices rang out from above.

*Shooom!*

The two figures from above descended down at Gourai and kicked him at the top of his head.

*WHAM!!*

Time slowed when the devastating impact on Gourai's head forcibly closed his mouth. Blood and saliva spurted from his mouth, his eyes bulged out while rolling up, and his entire head deformed.

*BRA-KOOOM!!*

Gourai was slammed into the ground, creating an explosion. Chunks of rock and dirt were flung about and wind blew forth. Dirt and debris rained down upon us and showed two more onis.

But two of them are females. Their explosive entry ended the battle in an instant.
