27 Scene 26 : The Devil

Lilian looked down and saw the brown floor being scratched. She shuddered and immediately let go of her arms.

How could someone younger than her frighten her like this?

She continued to stare at Arthur's sword that sparkled under the sunlight. Arthur held it with his left hand. Something that was not explained in the script is that Arthur is a left-handed.

She remembered at the end of the story how this sword would have decapitated her, unfortunately Lilian could not remember which hand was holding the sword at that time.

Anyway, it didn't matter which hand Arthur used when Lilian raised and looked at her own hand. Her hands that looked small and fragile were naturally unable to withstand Arthur's slash. Their strength was clearly different.

Should she learn to carry on the sword seriously? There was no harm in anticipating if something happens, that might not be avoided in the future.

It would not hurt if she started to train physically just in case. Lilian made up her mind, if she returned to the Duke's house, Lilian would ask Edmund, her knight, to teach her.

Lilian jumped and came out of from her resolution when she heard a deep voice from above her head.

"What are you doing here?" Arthur, still holding his sword, looked at Lilian. His face still contorted in dislike of Lilian's previous treatment.

Lilian smiled nervously. "Today is my first day here, so I want to greet my brother and father."

Arthur still stared at her, but when he heard their father called, his expression returned blank, as if his contorted face had never existed.

"..."

However there was no response from Arthur. Lilian began to fidget unconsciously. She carefully rounded Arthur's left hand which still holding the sword and slipped her hand into Arthur's right hand, holding him.

"What will you do after this, brother? Can we have tea together now?"

Lilian silently grumbled to herself. Why is there only tea to spend time at this time?

Why isn't there a cafe or cinema or hangout that sells coffee and provides some kind of fun activity to do together so that it can quickly get people close here?

Ah....that thought only made her missed her world more.

Lilian wondered how long Arthur would keep himself quiet. She blinked slowly, smiled slightly and open her eyes wide to be seen more expectantly.

This method was successful when she did several times to the people around her. They melted even though they initially refused her invitation or request firmly.

She stopped counting as she approached the number twenty-five. Lilian's cheeks stiffened and her smile felt strange. Lilian almost cursed at him instead of continuing her clingy act.

"I am busy." Arthur refused, again.

Hearing his short answer in a very long time made Lilian finally lose her temper and snapped at him.

"HEYYY, I always invite you nicely. Why are you treating me like this? I know you are uncomfortable when you are with me. Do you think I am NOT?? If it wasn't for that damn end, do you think I would bother you like this? HUH???"

... BASTARD!!!

***

Arthur was stunned when he saw his sister explode. Lilian's face turned red. She inhaled and exhaled harshly and her hands were folded to her chest.

With his sensitive hearing, Arthur definitely heard Lilian curse at him. This was the first time a woman yelled at him.

Even her mother, Agnelia, never raised her voice to Arthur. The women he ignored also never swore at him even though Arthur gave them cold shoulders.

He admitted that all this time Arthur felt uncomfortable around Lilian, even though Lilian was his younger sister. Moreover, Lilian's attitude seemed unusual. They were separated long enough and far adrift. Obviously, if they meet they should feel awkward. But he did not expect their situation to be far from uncomfortable.

They both were siblings, but Arthur did not get younger sister's vibe from Lilian.

Arthur's instincts said that if he let his guard down a little, Lilian seemed to pounce on him. Because of that Arthur always kept his distance and refused her invitation.

He could not read Lilian's motives and that bothered him.

At first he thought that Lilian was an annoying little sister, but at this moment, the word 'annoying,' wasn't exactly right.

Lilian looked ... scary.

Arthur almost stepped back when he got Lilian's sudden outbursts, if it wasn't for his sword that stuck and held him in place.

He always found a smiling, a cheerful or a shy face from the opposite sex. He also found Lilian doing the same thing all this time.

Except, now.

He found an annoyed and an angry face in front of him, and this was enough to amaze him.

Arthur watched his younger sister more closely. Lilian didn't make a sound anymore but her expression changed.

And suddenly Lilian fell on her knees.

***

'OH MY GODDDDD !!!'

'Am I crazy?'

Lilian seemed to realize what she was doing. She had just displayed her anger and spilled it on Arthur, even swearing at him!

She revealed her deepest thoughts to people who should always see her good attitude!

There was nothing in Lilian's dictionary of life as a cursing people or bad-tempered. This woman has unlimited patience and a flawless attitude.

But because now she is In Ha. That Seo In Ha, her behavior from earlier would be considered normal for anyone who knows her.

She would do so if the person has really upset her to the crown and she was unable to hold it. She was not a perfect actress with a pretense just to maintain her image. She even got a few scandals for yelling at reporters and fans who violated her privacy.

For the size of an actress, she was the ignorant type who sometimes let reporters or fans going around her, but if they overdo it, In Ha was not hesitant to voice her annoyance.

Despite her attitude, they were not stop and even more attached to her which makes In Ha confused. She was prepared to accept the hate speech from them, but strangely, no one came to say it even though she blatantly said it in front of their face directly. And the weird part all of it, sometimes they were the ones who defended her in hater forums.

Right now, In Ha doesn't know how to behave as Lilian who was like a kind-hearted goddess full of patience and sincerity.

Is it better for her to pretend to pass out?

No.

No.

That would make Arthur call others and create opportunities so that their distance could be further and further away.

Should she just said that she's crazy? And confess that the devil possessed her body?
