From Being Queen To A Servant

SCENE: EIGHT

THE TOP SECRET REVEALED

(The Eagles kingdom prepares for their

final attack)

King Richard: It looks like everything is as

planned

Simon: ☺ yes my lord , now all that is left

is escorting the people from that

kingdom and using them as slaves

King Richard: yes they are going to work

in one of my Gold mines. (he waits a

moment then continues) Simon you

have worked with me for a long time

now and I think I can trust you on this

one

Simon: (confused) what do you mean my

lord?

King Richard: I used Cocoa farms as an

excuse, I mean I'm not interested in

those grains of theirs. You take a good

look at me do you think a KING like me

can have interest in mere farms ohh

please!

Simon: please enlighten me my lord.

King Richard: Kalahari Kingdom has a lot

of Diamond beneath those farms, so I

was planning to open a diamond mine

after our mission.

Simon: Why did you decide to make it a

secret my lord?

King Richard: I lied because king Nareen

is part of our plan, see all the weapons

used here, are his. So I told him about

the cocoa farms because if he knows

about the diamond I bet hell demand a

fortune from us.

Simon: clever I see.

King Richard: please Simon keep this as a

secret. I don't want all of my plans to go

to waste. see I'll give you 30 million

dollars after the last attack.

Simon: (excited, he has no words to

express his feelings)

SCENE: NINE

THE FINAL ATTACK

(Big trucks, escorting people of the

Kalahari by force, what can be done as

blood was being split without second

thoughts, there's nothing left except

getting in those trucks without even

knowing where they were going. When

they left the village was all empty. No

sound of humans at all. It rained more

than usual that day. When they got to

Europe they were put in big cells with no

proper beds at all only blankets that

were not even enough)

SCENE: TEN

THE START OF SLAVERY

Shaniqua: (talking to herself)

I have failed them, all the thousands of

beings. My mother left them in my

hands but what have I done to help,

nothing. look at them now, they are

about to be turned in to slaves all

because of me. I knew that this was

going to happen but I never told them to

escape at least. They could have escaped

and left me all alone in my father's land.

Father, my father must be disappointed

in me. I'm just a princess who failed her

people ,  (she cannot help herself, she

ends up crying)

All of the sudden the Eagles warriors

shows up in the cells

Simon: Joking time is over now, I'm here

to let you know that you all are going to

work in the Gold mine from tomorrow

morning. I just felt like you all should be

notified.

Shaniqua: who, us work in your mines?

what is it in for us? I mean workers

should be registered and paid wages or

salaries? so far we haven't seen

ourselves signing anything.

Amber: Shaniqua you should be clever

enough to know that you are no longer a

princess but a slave!

Simon: (surprised) a princess?

Shaniqua: pardon?

Simon: You two (points at Shaniqua and

Amber) you're odd to work as maids,

there aren't enough maids in this palace

so you two can be of a greater use. I'm

Amber is all excited

Amber: wow, so I am not going to work

as a slave I mean, all of the hard labor at

the mines. Haha!

Shaniqua: (frustrated, she disperses

from the crowd and went to sit alone)

SCENE: ELEVEN

WHAT'S IN THE FUTURE

(Everyone is preparing for the day,

Shaniqua and Amber heads to the

kitchen while others are preparing to go

to the mines)

Chief maid: hey you, please take these

meals to the prince.

Amber: who, me?

Chief maid: Nop that darker girl.

Shaniqua: Shaniqua, that's my name.

Chief maid: Ahh no one cares just do

what is required of you.

(Shaniqua takes the meals to the prince)

Shaniqua: knock knock! She enters

without permit.

Prince Jaden: who said you should

enter? Ohh, you are new here. Dark?

Never mind you're late by 5 minutes I

usually have my breakfast at 8:00 o'clock

and its 8:05 now.

Shaniqua: late by 5 minutes. Not that

Bad right? It's not good to do things on a

routine like that, I mean you need to be

flexible.

Prince Jaden: You remind me of my

mother now. She used to scout me on

doing everything on a routine. She said

days aren't going to be the same

forever!

(a moment of silence)

Prince Jaden: you seem lost in your

thoughts mem are you alright?

Shaniqua: (she looks at Jaden's tea) my

father liked this tea a lot. It is made of

cocoa! He never spent an entire day

without having it.

Prince Jaden: What happened to him?

(All of the sudden the chief maid

summons for Shaniqua, and she leaves

without answering his question. In the

afternoon Shaniqua notices that Amber

never kept any lunch for her, she is

surprised by her actions and decides to

ask why she had done that)

Shaniqua: (Sad) Amber the chief maid

said she gave you my food!

Amber: And?

Shaniqua: I've not ate anything since

morning, remember in the morning you

people were eating bacon and I'm

allergic to it.

Amber: And?

Shaniqua: And what … you ate all the

food without baring me in mind. What

have I ever done to you Amber why do

you hate me so much?

Amber: (smiling) please chill, you aren't

a princess any longer so we are equal

now. Yep I've ate your lunch and there's

nothing you can do about that. spoilt

brat.

(Shaniqua furiously left Ambers side, and

went to sit in the palace garden)

Prince Jaden: by your actions it is clear

that you are new here!

Shaniqua: what? What do you mean by

that?

Prince Jaden: This garden is meant only

for royalties, no maids are allowed to sit

here, when I recall well the last maid

who did that was judged to death.

Shaniqua: well I'm not scared of death. I

mean, all my ambitions are dead so.

Prince Jaden: Ambitions? (interested)

SCENE: TWELVE

(It's late at night, Shaniqua is stressed up

she just needs someone to talk to.

Bearing Gaddafi in mind she decides to

go to him)

Shaniqua: Hi, you must be angry right?

Gaddafi: why?

Shaniqua: I've spent days ignoring you.

Gaddafi: Who said I'm keen to have your

attention, as what really?

Shaniqua: I never thought you'll say that.

How sad. Well I've not eaten anything

today. Amber ate my lunch.

Gaddafi: (smiling) do I look like I care?

(Amber shows up)

she doing here?

Gaddafi: I don't know, eyy I bet she's

(They both laugh)

without notifying me. And moved on

with Amber for that matter. Your action

says it all that you've never loved me.

sad but I accept it, it is all my fault I

should have seen it coming … I

(Shaniqua spent the whole night crying,

imagining all the moments she spent

with Gaddafi, only to notice that they

were all a movie, Gaddafi was acting up.

On the other side Gaddafi is confused,

he is not sure if He loves Shaniqua nor

Amber. He knows that Amber was just

his desire while Shaniqua was a catch, he

knew deep inside that no one knows him

better like Shaniqua does. His feelings

are not clear and for that he ends up

being angry at himself)

SCENE: THIRTEEN

CONTINUITY OF THE FUTURE

(The next day Shaniqua fails to go to

work as she was sick)

Chief maid: where is she? the dark girl.

Amber: I don't know, she told me that

she is tired already and won't work for

today.

Chief maid: who does she think she is? A

princess? She thinks she is better than

other maids, lazy jerk.

(the chief maid went to the slave cells to

confront Shaniqua)

Chief maid: look at you sleeping. As if

you've got no chores at all,

Shaniqua: I'm sick.

Chief maid: you are faking it, please get

up who do you think will do your chores

when your sleeping. There's food for the

prince in the kitchen, I'm sure you

already know what to do.

(Shaniqua woke up and brought food to

the prince, she entered his room without

knocking)

Shaniqua: here (she puts the food on the

table then heads out)

Prince Jaden: wait! Madam you seem

sad today. Unlike yesterday.

Shaniqua: don't you dare call me a

madam again, in my culture that's stated

as being rude, disrespectful at such.

Prince Jaden: ohh I see, entering peoples

room without knocking is seen as being

King Richard: (Amazed) Simon, I'm

confused, I mean since we've cleared

the Kalahari kingdom rain have been

falling nonstop. I cannot even launch the

work equipment.

Simon: well that sounds like witchcraft. I

mean why must it keep raining when

we've got a serious mission at hand?

King Richard: I wouldn't decline that fact.

But why? I mean it has been 1 week now

and the land is all wet. I've got many

questions and I need answers!

Simon: from my knowledge, every village

has customs and laws it follows, maybe

they were supposed to do something

traditional before they left.

King Richard: please don't tell me you

believe in those stereotypic actions.

Simon: from what's happening now you

might as well believe in them. Summon

one of the villagers maybe they may

have answers on why it's raining

nonstop.

(They summon one of the villagers and

Shaniqua is the one who was randomly

picked)

Shaniqua: you people called me!

King Richard: have it ever rained

nonstop in your village? Shaniqua:

(confused) what?

Simon: are you deaf? he asked why is it

raining nonstop in your village

Shaniqua: such questions are meant for

God. I mean talking from the history of

my village it only rains nonstop when its

people are not happy.

King Richard: meaning this have

Shaniqua: yes, about 85 years ago my

kingdom was ruled by an uncaring,

heartless king called Scar he never cared

for our people, so they ended up being

sad then it rained nonstop.

King Richard: I hate fairy tales. Now what

happened for the rain to stop?

Shaniqua: King Scar had to change his

sinful ways.

King Richard: please go, you're
