A Woman Born From Ashes

SCENE: ONE

THE FIRST ATTACK

Kalahari kingdom is a village located in

Africa, known by its fascinating kind of

farms it possesses. It is ruled by king

Solomon. A great king who shows

nothing but love to his people, he rules

fairly and all of his good deeds are done

because of the support he gets from his

family. He has one wife called Amanda

and two children namely Shaniqua (19

years old) and Lusaka who is 6 years old.

"Shaniqua is so connected to his father

and at times they do have meaning

conversations."

King Solomon: (worried) Shaniqua you

know one day I'll leave this world, do not

forget the wisdom we shared, if possible

please pass it to your brother Lusaka.

Shaniqua: no father, you are not dying

anytime soon (smiling). Look at you, you

are as strong as a hawk. Please stop

worrying father all will be well.

Shaniqua is a worrier of the Kalahari

kingdom she is intelligent, an African girl

full of wisdom, she is a princess that

every kingdom would wish to have.

Around the kingdom she is known for

her kindness. She helps the needy by

providing for them, and teaches little

girls the importance of standing out for

themselves. To conclude she is as

beautiful as an angel and her beauty

says it all as she is even referred to as a

goddess by the villagers.

(Gun shots, shouting's everywhere, the

village is on fire. What else could it be,

except those white men from Eagles

kingdom, the kingdom located in

Europe, the only mission it has is taking

over the African continent and its first

target is the Kalahari kingdom because

of the kind of cocoa it produces. They

fired the guns, bombs and left)

Shaniqua: (crying) father, faathheerrr!

wake up father, you have always been a

warrior and you will always be.

Queen Amanda: (crying) He is no longer

breathing Shaniqua, see, nothing, no air

coming out at all, nothing!

Lusaka: (scared) mother, mother what is

going on? what is happening? why is

everyone crying why is father not waking

up from his sleep and why did those

white men come in and burn up all over!

(No response)

SCENE: TWO

A BACKUP PLAN

(A week after king Solomon's burial,

Shaniqua angrily takes her fighting

equipment and heads out.)

Queen Amanda: (confused) Shaniqua my

daughter where are you going? have

something serious happened?

Shaniqua: yeah mother something

serious did happen, my father is dead

and we don't know who killed him.

Some white men just came in and killed

him, I'm going to investigate my father's

death.

Queen Amanda: No Shaniqua you are

going nowhere, I won't allow you to do

this to us, yes the king is dead and

there's nothing we can do about it. You

think you alone can defeat those white

men, they've got big guns and what do

you have? the kingdom needs you now

more than ever.

(Shaniqua is stubborn, she does

everything she puts her mind to, so she

went against her mother's word and

went to the compound of the village's

investigator Zimele. Zimele is an old man

who knows everything that is happening

in the kingdom as he is friends with the

leaders of the African counsel. He has

the history of the palace all in his jaws he

is also a warrior the one who taught

Shaniqua the elements of war)

Shaniqua: I know you are not surprised

to see me to conclude we have a mission

ahead of us.

Zimele: Shaniqua, shani, please breath.

So no greetings at all, where are your

manners? (smiling)

Shaniqua: father! my manners where all

taken the day they killed my father. I

want revenge, I want to revenge the

death of my king. I want to...

Zimele: Shaniqua! have you forgotten

the elements of war so easily?

Shaniqua: Ok now let me ask who are

they? what do they want from us? what

have we done to them, you are the god

of history you should be knowing all of

this.

Zimele: ohh well you've got it all wrong

now, it's sad Shaniqua but I know

nothing. Those man comes and goes

without saying a word. what I know is

that they are powerful and they have

dominance over the whole Europe, they

are the Eagles kingdom, that is all I

know. But I am sure they are going to

come again, and we must prepare

ourselves for that war Shaniqua.

Shaniqua: The Eagles Kingdom? Europe?

it makes sense, we'll never defeat them.

Thou we can find our answers the

second time they come. See we'll

capture one of them without any notice

and use him as an information giver.

Zimele: ohh I can see you are still in your

senses that is great Shaniqua. That plan

is great now take Gaddafi and summon

other warriors to prepare for war

(Gaddafi is Zimeles only son, he is a

strong man who protects the villagers

against criminals. He is also known by an

aura that he has once killed a lion. He

grew up with Shaniqua, they were best

friends until one day Gaddafi confessed

his love for her, and from there they

lived as a prince and a princess they love

each other and their love is so pure and

beautiful. The only person who can stop

Shaniqua's stubbornness is him, the one

and only Gaddafi)

Shaniqua: Gaddafi have you seen how

this village is lately? it is like they are

living with fear. The cocoa farms have

been closed since the attach!

Gaddafi: The cocoa farms must start

operating Shaniqua remember the

kingdoms most income comes from

those farms.

Shaniqua: it sounds like you are only

concerned about the cocoa farms. what

about our people Gaddafi? this doesn't

sound like you at all.

Gaddafi: (angrily) Shaniqua you are just a

girl and the villager's safety must be

taken off by the man of this kingdom so

stop bargaining around.

Shaniqua: wow Gaddafi you have

changed lately you only think of yourself.

You know what I can't stand this I'm out.

SCENE: THREE

THE MISSION AT HAND

(Gaddafi is a selfish man who covers all

of that by the little sweet things he does

for the villagers. He is in love with

Amber, the only girl that melts his heart

by the beauty she has)

Amber: (smiles) long time my king.

Gaddafi: my queen you know what I

have been up to lately, isn't it that stupid

Shaniqua she has been taking all of my

spare time.

Amber: (a sigh) ohh her again? what is it

this time, save that, when are you two

getting married, our plan seems to be a

little bit slower Gaddafi up your game.

you two are old now and our plan needs

to be accomplished remember ? I can't

stand this any longer I want that crown

on my head already.

(He turns and looks at her)

Gaddafi: Amber have I failed you before?

Please trust me when I say I'll never

forget our mission, soon very soon our

mission shall come to pass.

Amber: (smiling) I trust you , haha! Only

if she knew what's coming her way, she

better enjoy royalty while it lasts.

SCENE: FOUR

CELEBRATED VICTORY

(At Europe there lies Eagles kingdom, a

kingdom ruled by King Richard. This king

has fought to get everything he has, he is

not afraid of splitting blood for as long as

it is of a greater purpose to him. He is

just not content with what he has, all the

gold mines he owns are nothing to him,

he still wants more not baring other

people in mind. It would have been

better if all of his riches were of a

greater purpose but no, they're filled

with tears of people he has wronged

before and at such he never stops he

just keeps wanting more for himself.

Simon is one of his warriors, he does

everything the king tells him to do like a

headless being not having direction at

all.)

King Richard: how did the plan go?

Simon: The plan went great my king, for

in fact we did what you wanted us to do,

we did kill their king.

King Richard: That is great Simon, when

the whole mission goes as planned I'm

going to promote you, for in fact you are

going to own those cocoa farms for as

long as I get 80% profit from them.

Simon: (confused) 80% my king?

King Richard: yes Simon 80%, do you

have a problem with that, for in fact I'm

doing you a favor I should have said

90%! Enough now go and prepare for

the second attach we can't dreg this

mission the faster we act better chance

of us becoming billionaires.

Simon: (thinking) for I am not even a

millionaire so, how can I just jump in to

being a billionaire, this whole mission is

only for him. He is selfish he wants

everything for himself. He even has a

nerve to claim 80% of our hard work well

it's fine, he is a king after all.

(he heads off)

SCENE: FIVE

THE SECOND ATTACK

(A week after that conversation, the

Eagles kingdom attacks the Kalahari

kingdom for the second time this time

their mission is killing the entire royalty

family. When they got in the palace

Ashanti was not there, so they managed

to kill Queen Amanda and prince Lusaka.

Not only them but the guards and palace

maids were killed as well. the palace was

all wiped out! Just as they were about to

leave the border, the warriors of the

Kalahari kingdom managed to capture

one of the attackers. When they got to

Europe they did not notice that one of

them is missing as they were many when

they left. Shaniqua and the other

warriors took the white man and headed

to the palace)

(They reached the palace gate)

Shaniqua: (shocked), WOW so they've

killed the guards! (she looks around) ohh

no the maids as well?

(As she enters the house she notices that

her mother and brother were killed. She

sits on the floor and cries, Gaddafi

comforts her and gives her hope that

everything is going to be alright. A week

after everything that have happened

Gaddafi decides to talk to Shaniqua

about the situation at hand)

Gaddafi: Shaniqua the kingdom needs a

leader it needs someone to look up to.

Shaniqua: So you think I don't know

that? I am the daughter of my father and

I am going to lead them as the princess

of this kingdom.

Gaddafi: See Shaniqua you need a

helper, after all this kingdom cannot stay

without a king. Marry me Shaniqua so

that we can both rule this kingdom.

After all the customs of our people have

said it that the kingdom cannot spend 3

months without a king. I am sure that

the elders are going to stand with me on

this one.

Shaniqua: the elders knows how I lost

my entire family so they wouldn't

pressurize me. See I love you Gaddafi

but I am not sure if I still want to marry

you. You have changed a lot , you are

not the Gaddafi that I know of , why?

What made you this heartless?

Gaddafi: look who is talking about

change? I have not changed Shaniqua

I've grown, and I'm not heartless I'm just

trying to help, just as I've always done

from when we were young.

Shaniqua: I am a woman Gaddafi I know

when I'm being played, it is all different

now. When I'm with you I don't feel safe

at all I don't know why! all the trust is

lost … just like that, without any reason.

Each night I dream of that girl called

Amber wearing my crown as a princess!

(she starts crying)

Gaddafi:(scared) Shaniqua did I just hear

you mention Amber's name? (He heads

out without looking back)

Amber:(surprised) Love are you okay? I

mean you've just barged in here without

saying a word.

Gaddafi:(furious) Tell me Amber, what

were you doing in Shaniqua's dreams.

Wearing her crown in fact!

Amber:(laughing) So I'm referred to as a

dream maker? Weird right? Gaddafi you

mean Shaniqua told you that she dreamt

of me wearing her crown? well it looks

like the gods are not against that at all.

Gaddafi: We should be more careful

Amber. Shaniqua doesn't trust me like

she used to. See today I was with her,

trying to give her reasons to marry me

but she said she is no longer sure if she

still wants to.

Amber:(confused) You are a man

Gaddafi do something, buy her an

expensive jewelry to gain her trust again.

or take her on a picnic. Girls love things

like that.

Gaddafi: Wow! It is clear you don't know

the girl we are talking about, Shaniqua is

not in to material things those jewelry

and picnics will surely mean nothing to

her.

Amber: you are joking right? see no girl

can decline anything fancy. She is of

royalty and those things will please her

heart I'm telling you.

Gaddafi: Please, I've grew up with her I

know what she likes. Shaniqua can

appreciate an apple better than those

expensive things. She is just not in to

material things, a pure heart is all she

appreciates. Don't worry I'm going to be

the old Gaddafi that she knows of and

that will please her I know, she likes

words and that's what I'm going to give

her.

SCENE: SIX

FALSE INFORMATION

(The next day, Shaniqua is all ready to

question Abraham the white man that

was kidnapped during the last attack,

about the reason they have been

attacking their kingdom lately)

Shaniqua: Who are you? well that may

not be important now, I don't think I'm

even interested in knowing who you are.

Now tell me, who sent you?

Abraham: water, can I please have water

I'm thirsty.

Zimele: Look who has a nerve to ask for

mere water! There is no mercy for

sinners in this kingdom unlike where

ever you come from.

Shaniqua: Uncle Zimele. This man has

not eaten anything for the past days.

Don't you think he deserve something to

drink.

Zimele: Shaniqua please stop having

sympathy on him. hey white man, tell us

everything about where you're coming

from. and after that I promise we'll have

a meal prepared for you.

Abraham: I am from Asia. The city

located in china, Beijing.

Shaniqua: were you born there?

Abraham: yes I am Wuhan the son of Mr

Jan.

Shaniqua: In the ancient history of this

world. People are divided in to 8 groups

and I do understand the characteristics

of each of the people, surely you know

what I mean.

Abraham: (scared) ohh yes , uhhm.

Shaniqua: you are surely a liar Mr

Wuhan, that's even if it's your true

name. See we are not playing games

here. Judging by your hair, eyes, and

nose surely you are an Aryan a Russian,

yep from Europe. Am I wrong Mr

Wuhan?

Zimele: there he goes (Zimele summons

the warriors to beat Abraham up, for

giving off false information) Well no

meals for you. We'll come when you're

ready to talk. (they all leave)

SCENE: SEVEN

THE TRUTH REVEALED

(Late at night Shaniqua cannot sleep, she

keeps thinking of Abraham, bearing in

mind that he might die of hanger so she

decides to prepare some meals for him)

Shaniqua: here (gives him food) you

must be hangry. Let no ear hear about

this, to them you're just like a prisoner.

Abraham: Thanks, I am Abraham , yeah

Abraham is my name.

Shaniqua: Ohh Abraham from?

Abraham: Eagles kingdom in Europe, we

were sent by king Richard to take over

your kingdom.

Shaniqua: Don't you people have

enough land left? I mean what's special

about this kingdom that you people are

even willing to capture it?

Abraham: Cocoa, yes it is known all over

the world that the best cocoa is found in

Kalahari kingdom and for that my king

has plans for the cocoa farms found here

Shaniqua: Well your king must be selfish.

We all know that Eagles kingdom

produces a lot of Gold, and Diamonds as

well. What more does he want? I'm

Amazed by how people can tend to be

this selfish (a sigh)

Abraham: so now that you know what is

your plan?

Shaniqua: I feel all powerless now, I'm

Afraid. They have every advantage to

defeat us. Tell me if you were me what

were you going to do?

Abraham: No one has ever won against

the Eagles kingdom in a war before, so

pray Shaniqua. Only a Prayer can help you

on this one.
