Having done all the extra work of these gods, especially the work of the lazy bum Lady Inaho, Mew heard some interesting talk about a human landgod being stuck in the Yomi (the netherworld). Having never been to Yomi before, (as it should be) Mew couldn't wait to see what it looked like.
Sneaking after the pompous looking god, who was apparently the god of war, Mew snuck into Yomi under the unsuspecting gaze of the war god. Seeing a poisonous mist coming towards him, which was something usual in Yomi, Mew waved his little paw to disperse the mist. Seeing it move around, Mew was temporarily distracted. He giggled in delight as he moved the mist to make all kinds of interesting shapes.
Noticing he was getting distracted again, Mew went deeper and soon saw a lot of low ranking yokai.
Once the yokai saw Mew, they instinctly felt they should stay out of Mew's sight, making the journey a bit boring for Mew. Everything around him was dark, not to the point of seeing only black, but it made the surroundings gloomy.
[This is so boring. Hey, Gengar, want to play tag?]
Mew said, glancing at his shadow. If one looked carefully enough, one could see the shadow tremble faintly.
"N-no thank you. Why don't you play with the Yokai around here. I bet they would love to play with you."
Mew looked dubiously at Gengar.
[They flee when they see me. How is that wanting to play with me?]
"They are probably just shy. Shy!"
Gengar desperately wanted to make Mew play with someone other than himself. Having once played endless 'Who can beat the most phantoms?' was enough for him, thank you very much!
[I don't know...]
Mew looked at the fleeing Yokai with doubt in his eyes. How did they look shy? They were clearly afraid of him, okay!?
[Guess I'll wait it out for now. Let's play at that volcano over there. I wonder if Death mountain is hotter or this one.]
Not one to stop Mew once he had decided something, Gengar just stayed safely in Mew's shadow until the latter's curiosity was sated.
Feeling the surrounding temperature rise, Mew hummed in joy as he took out all kind of food, like chocolate and marshmallows and enjoyed making s'mores. With every bite, a long chewy and sticky thread of marshmallow stretched from Mew's mouth to the s'mores biscuit. Naturally, going by Mew's messy eating habits, it didn't take long to be sticky all over.
Mew slowly licked the sticky sweets from his fur as he moved closer to the top of the volcano. Once there, Mew's eyes glimmered in excitement when he saw an island in the middle of the volcano. On that island, fire raged high up, as it was trying to burn something.
Not wanting something fun to break, Mew easily took it out, only to see a fairly tall body. It had pointy elf like ears, though the body clearly belonged to the yokai race. Fiery crimson hair grew on the bodies head, while dark lines adorned the man's lower eyelids, as well as his lips. A perfectly heatlhy body. Even so, though it was alive, it was without a soul.
[The heck? Where did the owner go?]
Not one to question to long about things, Mew casually bound the body to make it his property. If the owner ever returned, Mew would have a fun new playmate to travel around with. As the flames were unable to destroy the body, it would give Mew a perfect indestructible playmate. A win-win situation, for Mew that is.
