After the Komainu had left them alone, Mew and Gengar began to roam around the Shrine grounds. It was a lot bigger than the one Mew had been to before, with a lot more people as well.
There were even a few yokai that came, as they all relaxed at the borders of the shrine. Though they did look a bit scared to come any closer.
'What could that be about? Who knows...'
Mew thought as he went to look for something to eat. The yokai looked at Mew with fearful eyes as he left their sight. What being could ever have so much divinity? It was even more than Ookuninushi-sama. How scary!
Mew didn't know what the yokai were thinking about and even if he knew, he wouldn't care one bit about it.
After a while, the scenery changed as all the humans had seemingly disappeared. Instead, in front of Mew were now all kinds of people that had the same sort of energy Loki and Hestia had.
On a golden seat sat a pretty boy, golden loks and all.
Around him were rabbit familiars with at his feet a crying komainu.
"Ookuninushi-sama! This is the one!" The komainu cried.
The pretty boy, Ookuninushi looked at Mew and smiled brightly.
"Welcome, fellow god, to the divine assembly. It seems you are new here as I don't know your name."
Ookuninushi said, the bright smile on his face widening.
[I was just passing through, though.]
Mew responded as he watched all these strange looking gods. There was even a she-guy between them who was overly fawning over Ookuninushi.
"Even so, as you are here now, could I ask you to join us. We are holding a seven day long assembly, with a banquet on the last."
Ookuninushi said, still as bright as before.
Hearing the last words, Mew perked up as he really looked forward to something yummy.
[Banquet? Sure I'll help! What do I need to do?]
Ookuninushi clapped his hand together, as he continued to smile brightly, attracting the attention of all the gods around him.
"Really? That would be great. We always seem to be short of hands, so this really helps out."
The gods around him smiled wryly as they could already imagine what he was planning.
"It would be perfect if you could help writing the good luck charms. We always seem to be lagging behind on that one, I do wonder why."
All the gods looked at a particular god called Lady Inaho, who was sleeping now as well.
[Sure, how many do you need?]
"Hmm, you should go to my familiars for that."
Mew followed behind a rabbit that bowed in front of him and led the way towards the office. There he showed Mew multiple bags filled with empty fortune tags.
"All of these must be made, Kami-sama."
The rabbit said as he left Mew to his work.
Looking at an example on how it should look, Mew spread ot hundreds of empty wooden tags and began to draw the words fortune on it all at the same time. Going with that thought, it wasn't a surprise to see Mew having already finished all his tasks within the hour.
