Frogs, I Want
Vanessa pulled herself out Hlid from underwater. Chunks of murk and seaweed slapped her face. Tiny bubbles, from God knows where, brushed against her. Stinging to her nostrils meant that she was now washed away into saltwater.
She shot her hands up and waved them down continuously to swim up to air. Not that it was any better. Oxygen amplified the burn in her nose, causing her to squeeze out the water from it in hopes that she would feel better.
A giant green lily pad bumped her head. After wiping her eyes to see the giant floatie of a flower under a moonlit night, she climbed up to get better situated. The lily pad glowed a neon purple and emitted a sound that seemed to rise from the water itself. Likewise, a large-eyed skinny green frog jumped from the sea onto a lily pad, which glowed neon red and emitted a sound from the sea.
