Chapter 17 - Forest Walk

A group of people was walking on the street, with Tatsuya, Miyuki, Ye Ziyun, and Nie Li walking right behind the team.

"Since when have you known Chen Linjian?" Ye Ziyun asked. Looking at Nie Li, she seems to be trying to see through Nie Li.

"I don't know him that well, we've only chatted once in the library." Nie Li shrugged.

"And he allowed you to join?" Ye Ziyun was surprised. Chen Linjian and her can be considered childhood acquaintances. They've known each other since they were young. Although neither of them could be considered very close, their relationship isn't that bad either. Chen Linjian's prideful character rarely places his peers into his eyes. Of course, Chen Linjian isn't an annoying guy, otherwise, Ye Ziyun wouldn't have bothered with him.

Tatsuya didn't say anything he just looked at then looked at Shen Yue. He felt like he might catch a big fish today.

Miyuki also noticed Tatsuya's gaze. She looked towards Shen Yue who was looking at Nie Li and Ziyun with a gaze filled with jealously and killing intent.

As soon as Shen Yue's expression turned ruthless. She understood what Tatsuya was thinking. After going into the wilds, Nie Li can give up on going back to Glory City. No one would know what happened.

When Shen Yue has already been mulling over how to deal with Nie Li in his heart. He didn't notice other people were watching him.

The group of people left Glory City, advancing on a rugged path on St. Ancestral Mountains.

The trip to Ancient Orchid City Ruins would take about five to six days of traveling. It's still possible that they would be subjected to Demon Beasts attacks when camping in the wild.

The strength among these 37 people was relatively decent more than half have reached silver rank and the rest are all mostly above 3-star bronze rank. Even Ye Ziyun has reached a 1-star Silver rank.

However, the news of Ye Ziyun reaching 1-star silver rank was not openly known to others, so others are still unaware of it yet.

After traveling for over 10 hours the group walked through the rugged mountain road. Nearing into the evening the group arrived at a wide flat land.

Chen Linjian glanced at the surroundings. With those tall trees the place would still quite hidden and said "Today, we'll be camping here!"

Shen Yue walked towards the side of Ye Ziyun saying "Ziyun, why don't we set out camp together? This way I can protect you."

"No need!" Ye Ziyun's snow-white face showed traces of displeasure. She doesn't want to camp together with Shen Yue. If she wanted someone to protect her then she would camp with Tatsuya and Miyuki. But, she didn't want to disturb them.

Ye Ziyun chose an area and camped together with several girls. Although Nie Li wishes to camp together with Ye Ziyun, he didn't go invite a snub like Shen Yue. Therefore, Nie Li found a rather remote area and camped right below the tree's shade.

Tatsuya and Miyuki also chose a remote area.

The night deepened and a burst of insect sounds can be heard from the forest.

Tatsuya and Miyuki were roaming around in the woods. Enjoying the atmosphere. They didn't say anything just enjoyed each other's company in silence. When they reached deeper in the forest.

Miyuki put her head on his shoulder "Tatsuya-sama"

Tatsuya turned to look at her, gently said "Miyuki"

Tatsuya could feel her nervousness. He could feel her arm tightening around his arms.

"Tatsuya-sama, do you even think about going back" she didn't say clearly. She knew Tatsuya would understand.

Tatsuya looked at the sky "Miyuki, do you want to go back"

Miyuki didn't know what to say. If they have been whisked away a year before. Then she wouldn't want to go back to a place where her Tatsuya wasn't respected. But, when they did got whisked away not only did she have friends, she got to knew about Tatsuya and her and she and Tatsuya got engaged. Everything was going right.

It would be a lie if she said she didn't think about going back.

"I don't know Tatsuya-sama. I do know no matter where we are as long as you are with me it's where I should be."

Tatsuya stopped walking. He held Miyuki's arm and gently pulled her in front of him. He slowly moved closer to her face till their lips were touching "It is the same for me Miyuki. As long as I have you it doesn't matter where we are. I will have a home."

Miyuki softly held his face whispered seductively"Tatsuya-sama"

Tatsuya put his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. He started kissing her. Tatsuya could feel her soft lips between lips. Her warm breaths rubbing her face. Her legs rubbing against his. Her breasts pressing against his chest. Her hand in his hair. That gentle yet forceful strength that was pulling his closer. He didn't know how long they kissed maybe a few seconds maybe a few minutes. He felt if this continued he would be lost in passion.

Suddenly Tatsuya pulled away. Both of them were breathing heavily. Miyuki wanted to pull him closer. To kiss him more. To feel his hands on her body more. To feel him more.

Tatsuya put his forehead on her "Miyuki"

Miyuki was breathing deeply "Tatsuya-sama?"

Tatsuya started scanning the surrounding "we are in the wild. If we got didn't pay attention we might die."

Miyuki put her head on his chest. Taking a deep breath she said "Tatsuya-sama, then when we go home?"

Tatsuya rubbed his hand on her back "I will think about it"

Miyuki raised her head. Tatsuya could see her unwavering blue eyes. She moved closer to him and gave him one long kiss. Tatsuya gently kissed her back.

Soon, they separated from each other. Tatsuya gently caressed her cheek and kissed her forehead.

Sometime later, Somewhere near the camp

Nie Li found some traces of demon beast. At the same time, Chen Linjian came with Shen Yue and his two underlings. Nie Li tried to explain what he found but Shen Yue got in his way.

Just when Chen Linjian was wondering if Nie Li was confident or ignorant. He heard the sound of footsteps approaching.

Tatsuya and Miyuki walked out of the shadows. Miyuki was looking refreshed while Tatsuya was still wearing the black-hooded cloak.

He couldn't do anything to them in Glory City because they had the backing of the Alchemy Association and City Lord Mansion but here they wouldn't get away. Before he had all his attention on Nie Li so he didn't realize they were here.

"You two what were you doing in the forest" He questioned them loudly.

Chen Linjian wanted to stop him but he also wanted they were doing out so late at night.

Miyuki had a polite yet happy smile on her face "Of course, taking a night walk"

Shen Yue and Chen Linjian both got entranced while looking at her smiling face. Chen Linjian looked away but Shen Yue got even more annoyed. First Nie Li then Tatsuya what were they. How could they get women like this and He was getting rejected.

He wanted to shout at them but before he could say anything Tatsuya spoke.

"Young Master Chen, have you decided to move the camp?" His eyes were looking towards the scene then he looked at Nie Li then back at the scene. He knew Nie Li had figured it out. Although he didn't have profound knowledge like Nie Li of the world he had Elemental Sight that allowed his view information of the past twenty-four hours.

With that information, he was able to calculate the most likely outcome. "Most likely Fox Bear would be here by the time we are done packing and start moving. We can kill it but its blood might attract other beasts."

Chen Linjian was shocked when he heard that Tatsuya and Miyuki just arrived but Tatsuya just looked at the scene and summarized that there was a Fox Bear here, even the time when it would come back.

Shen Yue was furious hearing that "you, what do you know. this nest has been abandoned for a long time."

Nie Li scoffed at him and said his analysis "On this side of the trunk, there is some fur residue. Also with how the nest is being stacked, according to my judgment, it should belong to demon beasts called Fox Bear.
