The Irregulars Journey.

Alright, let me make this clear. This is my first novel, at the start of it I wasn't sure that is why the first 25 chapters focus a little more than necessary on Nie Li. After that, it changes. I am frankly tired of hearing the same shit. I can stop and writing new chapters and rewrite the starting chapters but I don't want to do that until I finish the novel. [Currently, Patreon has 33 more Chapters available.] https://www.patreon.com/Nonameavailable?fan_landing=true Tatsuya and Miyuki wake up in a strange world and they have a mysterious system that doesn't talk? This is their journey to a different world but wait are they the only ones? Btw I will be posting 1 or 2 chapters per day here. If I can write more chapters then I will be posting them on my Patreon. So, If you want early access please visit my Patreon and please support me. ^_^ ###The Copyright of Image doesn't belong to me. Chapter 162 - Resembool.

Miyuki clapped her hands, removing the dust, "here, all done." Beneath her was equipment like a pickaxe, helmets, and other tools needed to mine.

"Uwoaaa!!"

"This looks as good as new!"

"Amazing!!!"

Mrs. Hailing gave Miyuki a new towel to wipe of the sweat, "thank you so much for your hard work."

Miyuki smiled while shaking her head, "that's fine. We have to pay for the room somehow."

Mrs. Hailing renounced that comment, "that fine, you two have done so much for us. We can't thank you enough."

She had a smile on her face, "by the way, you and the Doctor are?"

"Fiancee," Miyuki smiled, sweetly, as she talked about it.

"Oh my! a young couple crossing the desert alone!" Mrs. Hailing had a gossipy smile.

Miyuki glanced at Tatsuya, who was sitting on a box and treating the line of patients, "things happened in the Xing, because of me, we had to run away."

Mrs. Hailing's eyes shined, "Ohh! were your families against the marriage?"

Miyuki sighed, thinking about it, "Well, you see..."

On the other side,

Tatsuya put his palm on the man sitting in front of him, a soft orange light appeared from his palm. When he removed it, the man stood up, "Wow, this feels good as new!" He said, massaging his arm.

"Really, is that some kind of magic?!"

Tatsuya waved his hand, "not really, in simple terms, there are many ways that our body heals itself; all I do is increase the self-healing. I only help do most of the healing with minimum effort instantaneously."

"Hahaha... I think I understand."

"Hey! you had your turn!" The one behind him patted his shoulder.

"Yes! Yes!"

"Thank you for your help," Mr. Hailing, who had been standing beside Tatsuya, said.

Tatsuya just shook his head.

"So, what do you two plan to do now?" Mr. Hailing was curious. They had just come from Xing; he hoped they would stay.

"Tell me more about Amestris..."

Mr. Hailing rubbed his beard, "Well, there are five districts in Amestris, Central, East, West, North, and South. You are currently in the east; this is the most religious part of the Amestris."

"From what I remember, this is a militaristic country?"

"Ah, Yes, that is true." He seemed displeased when talking about the Military.

"It seems you are having troubles with the military?"

Mr. Hailing sighed, rubbing his head, "Well, our taxes just increased. So, there is a little bit of trouble. But, nothing much to worry about."

Tatsuya nodded without asking more. They were new to this country; there was no need to pick the fight with the Military.

"Say, is there a place around here where there is no military around?"

Mr. Hailing sighed, "Well, with no military...there is a rural town nearby. It is called Resembool. It is near here and pretty much isolated."

"Hmm...anywhere else?"

"Other places... Not really; Amestris is surrounded by Aerugo, Creta, Drachma. There are small skirmishes between them and us. There aren't many places like Resembool. If they are, they would be too far away from here."

"Resembool...huh..." He glanced towards Miyuki, who was talking with Mrs. Hailing and the other women of the town. They seemed to laughing and giggling after listening to whatever Miyuki was saying.

He wanted to leave behind whatever happened before, spending some quality time with her. Away, from everything, everyone, somewhere in the countryside.

As if noticing his gaze, Miyuki looked towards him with a bright smile on her face.

In the Evening

Tatsuya picked up the bag while looking at the people of the town in front of them, "Thank You for the hospitality!"

Miyuki waved her head, "We will come back again!"

"Come back soon!"

"You don't have to bring money!!"

"Write to us!!!"

"Big Brother, Big Sister, come back again!!"

Waving goodbye to them, Tatsuya and Miyuki stepped onwards towards the south.

If they took the train to Resembool, they would have to go through the Central. That was the last thing on their to-do list.

Other places that were nearby were Liore or New Optain. But, New Optain had connections with the Military while Liore was too religious for their taste.

The best way was to walk straight to Resembool.

After walking a while,

Miyuki looked back at Tatsuya, "Onii-sama, are we really going to stay at Resembool?"

Tatsuya watched her with a smile, "Yes, I want to spend more time together with you. Just the two of us."

"That is if you don't mind."

Miyuki shook her head, "I would love to live like that, but what about the reason we came here?" If the world's offered the system a story, then they wouldn't like it if they waste this chance.

"Don't worry; If I am not wrong, that thing...it would make our paths cross." Tatsuya looked at the sky, "One way or the other... We will be introduced to the actors of this story."

A few days later,

Tatsuya and Miyuki stood at the rail tracks watching the light and lightning discharging from the ground.

Miyuki chuckled, watching that, "it seems that thing took your words to heart."

Tatsuya knit his brows, looking at the distance, "should we leave and go to another town?"

Miyuki tilted her head, watching the picturesque atmosphere, "He-he, I really like it here...although the weather is not the best today. It would be a nice place to live."

Tatsuya put his hand on his face, "Let's just hope it won't become troublesome."

Miyuki started walking towards the place purple light and lightning disappeared, "Onii-sama... let's go help them!"

Tatsuya pulled the bag up before following behind her.

When they reached the house, the door was open, there was a trail of blood left behind.

Tatsuya frowned, "...Miyuki... It's better if you don't see what is inside."

Miyuki shook her head, "Onii-sama, I am learning Alchemy too. You can't always protect me from things like these."

She didn't give Tatsuya a chance to reject and walked inside. Following the trail of blood, she reached the room on the first floor.

Peeking inside the door, she covered her mouth, "wh-what is that!" She felt nausea coming over her.

Tatsuya, who had been standing behind her, patted her shoulder before going inside. His eyes passed over the picture of the two boys in the room as he bent down to pick the book on the floor.

His eyes hidden by the sunglasses moved along as he read the book.

"Onii-sama, can you read it?"

"Yes... the translation function of the system is working."

Miyuki came over and peeked at the book, "right, It still is working."

Since most things were sealed or banned. They did have this one benefit of translation that allowed them to not learn every language they came across.

"What is this?"

Tatsuya had a frown on his face hearing Miyuki's question, "Not really sure...Let's go ask next door."

"That's where the blood trail led?"

"Yeah..."

"Rockbell automail... Automail?" Tatsuya narrowed his eyes, watching the sigh.

"It's interesting that they progressed so much in just the nineteenth century." Miyuki wondered about it. She soon shook her head, "We should head inside."

The room was brightly lit, but there was no one in sight.

He looked around; there was only a piece of armor in sight, misplaced. Miyuki pulled his sleeves, "Onii-sama..."

"Hmm...?"

"There is a soul inside that."

Tatsuya was startled as he watched where Miyuki was pointing her finger, "You mean there is a soul inside that armor?"

Tatsuya walked forward and squatted down in front of the armor, "Can you speak?"

A soft childish voice came out from the armor, "Um...hello..."

Tatsuya gently patted his armor, "You sound in pain..."

"I...*sniff*...Big brother...*Sniff*..."

Miyuki bent down and patted the head of the kid in the armor that was sitting on the ground, "Onii-sama... why don't you go see inside."

Tatsuya nodded and went further inside the room. Inside one of the rooms, a boy without his right arm and left leg, bleeding, muttering while in pain. He was lying on the bed with an old woman and a very young girl beside him.

"It's all my fault...it's my...fault...Al...Al...lost his body..." The boy muttered even when in pain.

The old woman shot a look at him, "I don't know who you are, but we are a little busy right now."

Tatsuya didn't say anything; he put his right hand on the boy's chest. In the next moment, a soft orange light appeared from his palm, and the muttering boy calmed down.

The old woman seemed to have realized something, "that is...!!"

"A type of Alkahestry, Yes. The boy should be fine now. I am more interested in what they did. If I want to heal them, I need to know about it." The old woman stared at him. While the small girl stood up and held his hand. She watched him glancing upwards, "Ed...Al...can you cure them?"

Tatsuya stroked her head, "Yes." He glanced at the old woman while saying that.

The old woman took a puff of smoke, sighing, "let's go talk outside."
