" What happened," Ray questioned.
" Do you feel uncomfortable here? We can leave if you want to," he added.
" No, I'm just a bit dazed that's all," I replied. My mouth was sealed when it came to complaining about anything to Ray. Ray smiled and a waiter came toward us.
" What would you like to order?" the waiter inquired with a smile so big, that it looked strained.
" I'll go with the flank steak. Amber, the steak here is mind-blowing, want me to order it for you as well?" Ray asked. I didn't know what to go with anyway and was grateful he asked.
" Yeah, sure," I replied.
" Noted," the waiter acknowledged.
The waiter left and I couldn't understand how to start a conversation. It seemed like Ray was having trouble on his side as well. He opened his mouth then closed it and shook his head.
" What happened," I asked.
" Nothing, just talking to you makes me kind of nervous and I have a million questions but I don't know how to ask them or if I should even ask them in the first place," Ray admitted.
I was shocked by his confession. I just couldn't start a conversation because I wasn't used to talking to people or maybe even talking at all. Going to college was out of question for me. I already had to drop out of high school. Why would a person like Ray get nervous by talking to a girl like me?
" You can ask whatever you want to but maybe I won't answer some of the questions," I answered.
