Welcome party

Few weeks later.

I sat on my bed and thought about the last class we had with Ray. He had sent someone to call us to the college garden, nature he said was the greatest inspiration to a writer. I watch as the cool breezy blow up his brown hair a little bit. He was just too handsome. I must say it impossible not to crush. Not that I am crushing but I gusse I understand why a lot of lady's crush on him now.

So I kept on reminding myself that I could not crush, since it was a waste of time. Besides am sure the college will have a rule against students and lectures relationship. The college is organizing a welcome party for us this Friday and the CREW were going to be performing live.

Now I understood why Mount Wings was so expensive. I wonder how much they spent making the CREW teach us or perform life at the party. I also heard from Tracy that a number of other celebrities also come in once in a while. It a fact that Mount Wings has partnership with one of the biggest record label in the country.

Plus it own a publishing press, and the best gallery for art works. Mount wings is really the dream, they train their students and help them take the first step in their chosen career. My phone started ringing and I reached out to see who was calling. It was Daniella I blink my eyes twice to be sure I was not mistaking.

What on earth could she possibly want, I thought. The phone stop ring and I took a deep breath. Just when I have started enjoying the fresh air away from her and her mum she is calling. What does she want? I asked myself. Neither she non her mum has called since I left the house to school. Why was she calling me today?

My phone started ringing again, she was still the one. I took a deep breath and picked the call. Hello I heard her voice from the other end. it was sounding very friendly. Now am sure she needed a favour, she only talks friendly to me when she want me to help her lie to mum or Dad. I helped with the lie not because she fools me but because Mrs. wisdom will find a way to make whatever she did, my fault.

How is school? she asked.

What do you want? I replied. I knew she cared nothing about me.

Daniel said you invited him to your college welcome party, I was wondering if I could come along she said. I was so surprised that for a few minutes I thought my ears were playing some kind of tricks on me.

Since when has Danielle ever been interested in been in the same place with me. When I was sure she was not joking I took a quick breath then told her I was Sorry I can only invite one person.

Is it true that the CREW will be performing life at the party? she asked.

Yes I replied. Now I know why is is interested in coming along and can talk to me a bit nicly. Can't you take me instead of Dan? She asked. No I CAN'T, I already invited him. I did not know you will be interested in going any where with me I said.

What if Daniel agrees that you take me instead, can I come along then? she asked. Sure I replied. Then ended the call, I knew Daniel will be willing to let her come instead but I did not want Mum getting involved if I refused so it was fine. it not like she can bully me since I am her only ticket into the party.

It was soon Friday and I was all set for the party. It will be the first time I will be attending a party outside my twins cousins birthday. Daniella arrived early, it was the first time she will smile at me and not complain about being in same car with her or make life unbearable for me. She had insist we went with her car.

Trust me there was no use arguing that with her, she always wants things done her way.

The party was super fun, I lost sight of Daniella as soon as the patty began. I knew she did not come along to celebrate with me but to meet her crush for the first time. She had asked Dad to get the CREW for her last birthday party but Dad refused, he said that it was a waste of money that if she wanted to meet them then she could get a VIP ticket to one of their show as soon as she starts making money.

After the performance by the CREW they joined the party and mingle with everyone like they were not celebrities. Of course expect Ray who sat down at a quite corner with two security not letting anyone come close to him. Let me put it this way, the few guys that wanted to take picture with him were allowed but all the ladies got turned down.

Tracy and Elizabeth did not have my time, they were taking turns taking pictures with the CREW and dancing with them on the dance floor. I was not the party type, so I sat down and secretly watch Ray. I wondered why he was so different from the rest. Could it be that he was really gay, but been gay does not stop him from hanging with ladies or maybe…. My thought was distracted when suddenly the music went off and we heard a gun shot.

Everyone in the parity started running out, as several other gun shots were heard. I ran out of the place and was trying to find my way to where we parked the car, when I realize I have taken the wrong turn and ended up in the VIP entrances.

I took my phone out of my purse and called Daniella she picked up and shouted were the hell are you am driving out right now, I guess you will find your way she said and ended the call, without waiting for my response. We should have come in our separate cars I thought to myself, feeling a bit frustrated. Confused I took some step then felt something hit me hard. I fell on the floor, then everything stopped.
