Martial Apprentice!

Meng Tian reached school with Fatty Li by his side as always. Although this was a Saturday, High School students were required to attend school like any other day. Their only holiday was a Sunday and that too would be packed up with homework all the time. So, high school life was not necessarily an easy one. Except, of course, for Meng Tian and Fatty Li who usually did not have any qualms with taking it easy.

Homeroom was about to start and they were leisurely taking their seats. Teacher Shu came in take the attendance and made some morning announcements. They were mostly related to the results of all the class tests which were going to be published in the afternoon. Now that Meng Tian was walking towards his first class for the day, Geography, he heard a familiar voice in his head.

"Xiao Tian, come to my office right now. I have something to discuss with you." Meng Tian was startled by the sudden telepathic messages, but his control over his expressions had always been top notch since he was a kid. So, without any change in his face, he asked Fatty Li to carry on and went to Principal Ren's office.

As he knocked and entered the room, he saw a muscular man wearing goggles and a Hawaiian shirt, sitting on the sofa nearby, sipping a cool drink. Just as he was about to speak, a dagger appeared and started attacking him again. Meng Tian was pissed by the constant dagger attacks from the Principal.

But he was also intrigued by his improvements from last night. So, he started to dodge the dagger but this time with relative ease. Principal Ren's pupils slightly constricted and he increased the dagger speed a little bit more. Meng Tian started to feel the heat and started sweating while dodging. This went on for about a minute and Principal Ren finally stopped.

"I don't know what to say... you've improved yet again. Old Han, what do you think?"

Martial General Han Yufei slowly took off his goggles and solemnly looked at Meng Tian, "You're not bad kid. But dodging alone won't keep you alive. That aside, I heard you broke an elemental crystal yesterday. Old Ren asked me here specifically because he has high expectations for you. Here, don't disappoint me."

General Han threw a crystal sphere at Meng Tian, this one being a little bigger than the one from yesterday. Meng Tian reflexively caught the crystal and it immediately started glowing with a deep blue light with increasing intensity. After about two seconds, a single crack appeared at the center of the crystal sphere and the surprised General Han immediately took it back from him.

He looked at Meng Tian like a priceless antique and grinned widely, "Finally... finally, we have a monster of our own. Hahaha... Old Ren, you were right. I don't see any issues with the energy movement in and around him. It is completely natural. But why do I feel that his strength is a bit more than what you described... Hmm... Meng Tian, tell me what your current power level is."

Meng Tian was shocked to hear his words. He did not know that they were checking for anomalies when they gave him the crystal sphere. 'I am ignorant on many aspects of knowledge in this world, like the applied uses of different materials. If someone plots against me, I will probably only find out about it before death or worse. I need knowledge and a platform to speed up my progress further.'

Meng Tian was thinking many different things but still answered obediently, "I'll have to test it out to know my strength. If you don't mind, we can go to the Fitness Testing area in the gym."

Principal Ren stood up and took a step forward and appeared in front of Meng Tian and General Han. He placed a hand on each of their shoulders and they immediately disappeared from his office and appeared right before the Punch Force Testing Machine.

As it was time for the first class in the morning, no one was present there except for the Martial Arts Teacher Tiao. It looked like she was waiting there for them.

Meng Tian was asked to redo the three physical fitness tests. He went ahead and used his full power to punch the Force Testing Machine. The results were astounding as it went far above yesterday's mark to reach a total of 502 kilograms.

He then moved on to the speed test. He was only moving at a speed of approximately 9 m/s as he had not added any Energy Points to Speed the night before.

Meng Tian had already begun to understand the drawbacks of his unique System. "It does help in improving my physique and skills rapidly, but it requires a lot of Energy Points to do so. Principal Ren and this other guy seem to be buddies. They are sure to have adequate resources to fund my rapid leveling, so I might as well go all out and think up some terms to get more of those recovery serums... or something even better."

He immediately added a hundred Energy Points to his Speed stat and it took effect instantly. He started running faster and finally reached his maximum speed of 12.11 m/s, after which he slowed down and stopped.

General Han had been observing him with utmost precision and he could clearly see the instant when Meng Tian burst with speed to reach the Martial Apprentice level. He could not understand why Meng Tian could burst with such power, but he could only attribute it to his flawless body.

General Han was skeptical at first but after he saw the Energy movement near Meng Tian as he entered Principal Ren's office, he was sure about the flawless body's existence. The way the surrounding energy just moved around Meng Tian so naturally, that it felt like he was born of nature itself.

Now, the effects of the flawless body continued to stun him at each and every test. When it came to the agility test, Meng Tian gave his everything to dodge the rubber bullets and finally succumbed to their onslaught after the 63rd bullet.

So, the results came out to be: 502 kgs punch strength, 12.11 m/s top speed and an agility level of 63. A sixteen year old Martial Apprentice was thus born in the country.

General Han and Principal Ren were shocked to say the least but they had great control over their emotions. Teacher Tiao, however, was completely dumbfounded and started to question her reality. She even pinched herself a little to check if this was a dream. At last, she could only accept that this student from her class was going to be a legend in the coming years.

Principal Ren was standing aside and thinking about the various implications of Meng Tian's talent. He could imagine how much of a sensation, a sixteen year old Martial Apprentice would create.

He had already reported to his Master awaiting instructions, hence the visit by General Han. Even General Han was thinking what to do next and after a while, both of them looked at each other and nodded. They seemed to be communicating telepathically.

"I'll inform Master right away. Meng Tian had already stepped into the Martial Apprentice Realm. Master will definitely guide him forward. If nurtured right, he might be able to pave the way for all of us." General Han immediately took out a small finger sized-jade and crushed it.

Meng Tian was about to ask if they wanted to see his swordplay, when suddenly he felt a pressure descend upon him. He could not resist the pressure in the slightest and his mind felt a great danger gazing upon him.

The feeling lasted only for a second before it vanished completely like it never existed before. He turned his head backwards and saw an old man wearing a long white robe looking at him in a loving manner.
