The Impossible Family

The ninth book for my Doctor Who fan fiction with elements of RWBY, Symphogear, Madoka Magica, the MCU, Ace Attorney, Sherlock, and SAO in there. It will have me, the Doctor, obviously, the companion, whoever it might be. It will also have characters from RWBY, SAO, Symphogear, Madoka Magica, Sherlock, Ace Attorney, and the MCU in there, all of us interacting with each other. The traveling, the hijinks, the running and traveling continues, and this could be the end for our heroes in the story.

(Jared's POV)

Casper High...

Tucker Foley, Sam Manson, Danny Fenton, and I walk down a hallway together. The four of us carry a box that says, 'Save the Frogs!' and has a picture of a frog crossed out by a no symbol.

"So, why exactly are we breaking our backs here, Sam?" Danny asked.

"Frogs' rights. We have to stop dissecting frogs in our school biology labs. And at today's assembly..." Sam said, while we stopped walking. "I'm gonna demonstrate a humane alternative."

"A humane alternative?" I asked, as Sam tilted her box forward.

"'I Can't Believe It's Not a Frog Cadaver?'" Tucker asked, reading the top of Sam's box.

Sam puts down her box and takes out an oozing mechanical frog.

"Please remove my detachable three-chambered heart." The mechanical frog said, croaking in a robotic voice, before croaking again.

Danny's ghost sense and my ghost sense suddenly goes off. Sam's box on the ground begins to glow green and shake, then erupts a cloud of green smoke. Out of surprise, Sam tosses away the frog, which lands on Tucker's head and he struggles to remove it. The green smoke then materializes into the Box Ghost.

"Oh great. Him again." Danny said, annoyed.

"The Box Ghost." I said, and the Box Ghost is waving his hands around. "As annoying as the Daleks."

"I am the Box Ghost..." The Box Ghost said, glowing green. "...and I will have my corrugated cardboard vengeance!"

Danny and I go ghost, and the Box Ghost levitates the trio's boxes in the air. Meanwhile, Sam pulls the frog off of Tucker's face, leaving him covered in green slime.

"Oh, gross!" Tucker said, disgusted.

"You guys get to the assembly." Danny said, while Sam and Tucker ran off. "We'll get this moron sealed up tight."

The Box Ghost causes one of the boxes to open and numerous scalpels rise up out of it. They fly at Danny and I, but we turn intangible and they stick into the wall of lockers behind us.

"Huh. Maybe Sam has a point." Danny said, feeling his chest.

"She does." I said, feeling the pain in my chest. "Ouch."

The Box Ghost slams into Danny and I, sending us through the lockers and through several more rooms before we finally tumble into the backstage area of the school's auditorium. Upon landing, we change back to humans.

"Oops." Danny said, sadly.

"Tremble before the might of the..." The Box Ghost said, phasing through the wall and his hands started to glow green. "Box Ghost..." He causes a box onstage to glow and levitate. "...as the two of you are devoured by..." The Box Ghost reads the label on the box."Uh, oh yeah. Costumes and props from the Broadway classic, My Fair Lady!"

"Not a fan of Broadway. It's not Shakespeare." I said, while the box opened and a bundle of clothes rose up out of it. "I should know. I've met the man himself."

The bundle hurls itself at Danny and I, knocking us backwards. We ended up under a pile of clothes.

"Beware!" The Box Ghost yelled, laughing evilly, before phasing out through the ceiling.

Sam is walking up to a podium onstage in front of a closed curtain before speaking into the microphone, "Fellow students, something sick and disgusting is taking place right here in our school, and I'm about to show you what it is."

The curtain opens up behind her to reveal a large 'Save the Frogs!' sign. The students in the audience pause, then immediately point and laugh. Sam turns around and sees Danny and I, who stand up from the pile of clothes. Danny is wearing a pink-and-white dress, a matching hat with a wig of curls, and makeup. I am wearing a top hat and a suit, before looking at Danny and laughing at what he is wearing and I took out my iPhone 15 Pro Max to take a photo of him. Danny glowers when he realizes the situation.

"Whoo!" Tucker said, cheering. "Take it off!" Sam glares at him. "No, seriously. Danny should take it off. That's weird. But Jared looks good in that outfit."

Some time has passed, and Sam, Danny, Tucker, and I are walking down a Casper High hallway, where students still laugh at Danny.

"Thanks to your little dress-up parade, my 'Save the Frogs!' presentation was a total bust." Sam said.

"And speaking of bust, did you see Danny in that bra? Puce is not your color, pal." Tucker said.

The four of us walked up to a locker covered in yellow caution tape. Danny carries a piece of paper.

"Yeah, and now because that idiot Box Ghost trashed my locker, I've been assigned a new one." Danny said, reading the piece of paper. "Locker...seven-two-four."

Sam and Tucker gasp and look dramatically fearful. I clutched the strap of my sling bag, knowing the significance of the locker. Tucker points behind Danny at the rusty, worn-down locker 724. We all walk towards it.

"Guys, what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost." Danny said, chuckling. "Or something really scary that we don't see every single day."

"Hello?! Locker 724? How do you not know the legend of locker 724?" Tucker asked.

"I knew about Locker 724. But that's due to my foreknowledge." I said, as Danny opened the locker. "Even so, I did more research about it through the Torchwood software."

A gold-framed mirror hangs in the back, which Danny touches. The mirror begins to sparkle as Danny speaks.

"What's the big deal with 724?" Danny asked.

Dash Baxter suddenly slaps down the hat-wig from the My Fair Lady costume onto Danny's head, "You left something behind, Fenton."

Dash and two of his jock friends laugh while Danny glares at them.

"Let's see if it fits in your new locker, with you inside!" Dash yelled, grabbing Danny and shoves him in his locker, then slams the door shut.

Dash and his friends walk away laughing.

"Danny, that locker is cursed." I said, unlocking the locker with my sonic screwdriver and then opening it. "You figured it out regardless."

"I'll show you cursed. Cover me." Danny said, falling out of the locker and stands up.

Danny grabs Sam, Tucker, and I and hides behind us. He goes ghost, and flies invisibly down the hallway, then overshadows Dash. I turn invisible, knowing what would happen next, mostly so I won't be detected by Sidney Pointdexter. Danny then slams Dash's head into a locker twice before dunking it into a janitor's mop bucket, where he leaves Dash's body. He flies away from the crowd surrounding Dash and pops back into human form. He high-fives Tucker, while Sam and I glare at him.

"Danny." Sam said, admonishing.

"Sam's right. That's not how you're supposed to use your ghost powers." I said, frowning. "It's supposed to be for good, not evil."

"Relax, Sam, Jared." Tucker said, looking at Danny."It's about time you used that Phantom advantage for some ghostly get-back."

Sam sighs in disgust and walks away, and Tucker, Danny, and I follow her. A ghostly voice (belonging to Sidney Poindexter) speaks from within locker 724.

"Bullies." Pointdexter said, and a green light glows from within the locker. "Bullies!"

Fenton Works' kitchen...

At the table, Maddie is working on the Fenton Ghost Gloves, Jazz is reading a book, and Jack is eating breakfast. Danny walks into the kitchen with me.

"So, Danny! What's this I hear about you getting a new locker?" Jack asked.

"Oh, uh, hehe. Uh, no big deal, really. Uh, nothing for you and Mom to get obsessive about." Danny said, sadly.

"Why? Is it haunted?!" Jack exclaimed, angrily.

"Don't worry, son. You'll barely even notice us while we're staking out that locker during normal school hours." Maddie said.

"What?!" Jazz exclaimed, looking up from her book and she goes over to cover Danny protectively. "No! Danny is at a very critical stage in the development of his peer groups." She lets go of Danny. "He's already considered a clumsy nerd. The last thing he needs is you two confirming it."

"Nice defense, Jazz. Total confidence-builder." Danny said.

Jack suddenly grabs the Ghost Gauntlets away from Maddie and puts them on, bumping them together and swinging his fists around to showcase them.

"And the best part is, thanks to the new ghost gloves, when that ghost comes out of that locker, I can spar with it mono à ghost-o." Jack said, punching a column of pipes and it breaks down.

"The Ghost Gauntlets. Love them." I said, while Jack raises his arms victoriously, and more pipes crash down from the ceiling. "They remind me so much of Hibiki's Gungnir."

"Don't worry." Jazz said, looking over at Danny. "Maybe girls will talk to you in college."

Jazz walks away, and Danny glowers.

Casper High...

Danny is glowering into his locker at school. He glances over to Dale and another jock picking on a marching band student with a tuba.

"Hey, Tubby the Tuba." Dale said, grabbing the student's shako. "Nice shako." He twists shako in the student's ear. "Does it remove earwax, too?"

Danny slams his locker door in anger and walks off. The locker begins to glow green again as Poindexter speaks from within.

"Bullies." Pointdexter said.

Dale tosses the shako to his friend.

"Go long!" Jock #1 yelled, throwing the shako down the hallway as Dale runs down it, but Danny's locker door suddenly flies open and smacks Dale in the face.

Dale falls on the ground, dazed, and the shako lands on his head. A boy with glasses is pushing a projector on a cart. Paulina suddenly stops the cart with her foot and leans on it.

"I'm so fascinated by AV equipment." Paulina said, flirtatiously, as Kwan sneaks up behind the boy. "Can you show me how it works?"

Kwan secretly ties the boy's shoelaces together.

"Bullies!" Pointdexter said, angrily.

A stream of green ghostly energy comes out of Danny's locker, slides up across the ceiling to the opposite wall, and causes a trophy to fall off a trophy shelf onto Kwan's head. He stumbles around and knocks into a fire extinguisher case. The case opens up and the extinguisher tumbles out, spewing foam at Paulina, who screams as it knocks her backwards. The green energy finally unties the boy's shoelaces back to normal. The boy looks around and shrugs, then keeps walking.

Casper High cafeteria...

It is lunchtime, and I looked over at the popular kids' table.

"And all of a sudden, this locker door flies open and nails me." Dale said.

"I'm gonna be brushing this stuff out of my hair for a week!" Paulina said, brushing foam out of her hair.

"It's like, this school is haunted." Kwan said.

Tucker, Sam, Danny and I are at another table.

"He has no idea." I said, laughing a lot.

"Apparently, someone's been busy." Sam said.

"It wasn't me, I swear!" Danny said, suddenly turning invisible and goes to overshadow Dash, who is just sitting down between Kwan and Dale.

Danny causes Dash to dump his tray of food on Paulina, then leaves his body. Dash shakes his head clear and scratches it in confusion.

Danny then goes back to his table and turns visible again, "Now that was me."

"Danny, I don't think you should be using your powers like..." Sam said, suddenly seeing Mr. Lancer standing in the cafeteria doorway. "Lancer. I'll be right back!"

"Danny..." I said, when Sam runs off. "You should be using your powers for good, not evil. Like me."

"Don't listen to them, Danny. It's about time somebody struck a blow for Sidney Poindexter." Tucker said.

"Sidney who-dexter?" Danny asked.

"Sidney Poindexter." I said, taking out my MacBook Pro with the Torchwood software loaded up and showed the page of Sidney Pointdexter to Danny. "The locker you have now, Locker 724. It was originally owned by a Poindexter back in the fifties."

The website on my laptop's screen says that Poindexter attended Casper High from 1954-1958.

(Open POV)

Black-and-white flashback version of Casper High...

Students dressed in 50's-styled clothing are walking in the hallway. Poindexter adjusts his bowtie in the mirror in locker 724, then closes the door and walks down the hallway.

"According to this, Poindexter was the victim of the more cruel pranks." Jared said, as a voiceover from the present, and a pulley sticks a 'Kick Me' sign on Poindexter's back. "...than anyone in the history of Casper High School." The fanboy thought of a group of boys directing another boy to pick on Poindexter. "This is something I consider to be really sad. Apparently, picking on him was a graduation requirement. It's rather awful. I feel bad for the kid." The boy kicks Poindexter from behind while he's smelling flowers, then laughs. Poindexter is being shoved into his locker. "He got stuffed into his locker so many times..."

(Jared's POV)

Casper High cafeteria...

"Well, it's believed that his spirit still inhabits his locker to this very day." I said, sadly.

Sam walks back up to the table, carrying a box of frogs.

"Sam, what are you doing?" Danny asked.

"Nothing." Sam said, suspiciously setting a box down on the table bench. "Certainly not trying to smuggle frogs out of the bio lab while Lancer isn't looking."

Suddenly, Danny is pelted in the face with several hamburger patties.

"Hey, guys." Dash said, holding patties, surrounded by several jocks. "What do you say we 'meat' my new locker neighbor?"

"Sam, Danny's pissed." I said, as Danny wipes off the patties and glares at Dash, his eyes glowing green. "Well, pissed at Dash."

Sam holds Danny back, "Easy, Danny. Take it easy."

"You're right, Sam. I..." Danny said, sighing.

Danny suddenly gets pelted by more patties, cheese, veggies, and finally a giant loaf of bread that lands on his head.

"Enjoy your sandwich, neighbor." Dash said, walking away.

"That's it!" Danny said, taking the bread off his head.

"Hmm. I wonder how Dash would feel if he had a frog in his throat." Tucker said.

"Or twelve. In his pants." Danny said, looking at the box of frogs.

"Oh, no. You're not gonna exploit innocent amphibians for some juvenile revenge scheme." Sam said, picking up the box.

Danny's eyes look indifferent, then glow green with mischief as frogs jump in their reflection.

Casper High...

I watch Dash opening his locker in an empty hallway, invisible. I then looked over at Danny as Phantom holding the box of frogs. Danny turns invisible, then yanks open the back of Dash's pants.

"Hey!" Dash yelled.

Danny yanks Dash's underwear up and over his head, and dumps the frogs into his pants. Dash's head tears through his underwear, and he cries out in pain as he hops down the hallway.

"Wh-ow! Ow! O-ooh!" Dash said, repeatedly. "Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!"

Danny chuckles to himself and I rolled my eyes in annoyance, knowing what trouble he has caused for himself.

Locker 724...

It begins to glow green as Poindexter speaks from within once more.

"Bullies!" Poindexter said, suddenly phasing halfway out of the locker door. "Hey! I'm free! Finally, the doorway's been opened!" He notices Danny laughing. "You think that's funny, buster?"

"Huh? What? You can see me?" Danny asked, noticing Poindexter floating next to him.

"Yeah, that's right, bub. Now leave that poor kid alone." Poindexter said.

"What?" Danny asked, turning fully visible. "Oh." He laughs. "Oh, man. That's good. Man, do you ever have it backwards."

"Don't hand me that jazz, Clyde. You're the bully from where I'm standing."

"Uh, floating." Danny said, pointing at his feet.

"Uh, okay. Floating. Let's see how..." Poindexter said, raising his arms and hands begin to glow green. "...you like getting bullied."

Poindexter causes the lockers in the hallway to glow green. His eyes turn solid red, and school supplies fly out of the lockers.

(Open POV)

Cafeteria...

Lunch trays suddenly smack into students' faces and food flies all over the room.

Science lab...

Mr. Lancer is searching around for the frogs Sam stole.

"I know those frogs were here somewhere." Mr. Lancer said, and the beakers and other science equipment in the room suddenly break and shatter. "Great Gatsby!"

(Open POV)

Outside Casper High...

Maddie and Jack walk up to the front doors of the school.

Jazz cuts them off before they can go in, "How many times do I have to tell you? There's nothing weird going on in this school!"

Maddie and Jack share a disbelieving look. Suddenly, a crowd of students runs out of the front doors, screaming in fear.

"Move, Maddie, move!" Jack yelled.

Jack and Maddie run into the school, Jack wearing the Ghost Gauntlets. Jazz slaps her forehead in annoyance.

Hallway...

School supplies are flying through an intangible Danny and an intangible Jared.

"Look, you don't understand." Danny said, frowning.

"I understand a bully when I see one." Poindexter said, shooting a ghost ray out of his eyes, which hits Danny, sends him through a wall through a library, and lands him in another hallway.

Danny, still intangible, flies back and looks around sticking out of a wall of lockers. Meanwhile, Sam is rounding up loose frogs and putting them back into the box.

"There you go, little fellas." Sam said, happily.

Danny and Poindexter come to a stand-off in the hallway around Sam with Jared invisible. Jared then made himself visible with Poindexter looking at him briefly.

"Put an egg in your shoe and beat it, bully." Poindexter said, while Danny turned visible. "I'm Sidney Poindexter..." Tucker and Jared walk up next to him as he gestures to them. " ...and wherever there are nerds in need, I shall be there."

"Hey, who're calling a nerd?" Tucker asked.

"Sidney Poindexter." Jared said, while Danny flies at Poindexter, but he turns intangible and Danny flies into Tucker and Jared instead. "He's real and he's back."

Danny, Tucker, and Jared crash into some lockers and fall to the ground. Poindexter turns tangible again.

"Jared's right. Danny, that's the guy who used to have your locker. In your face, Mr. Skeptic." Tucker said, looking at Danny.

"In his face?" Poindexter asked, pulling out an ink pen. "Swell idea."

Poindexter causes the pen to spray ink in Danny's face. He laughs, but then Danny turns intangible and flies into him, sending them both through the floor and into the basement. Danny, weak from the attack, transforms back into his human self automatically.

"Holy socks! You and your friend there are the halfas!" Poindexter said, looking between Danny and Jared.

"The what-as?" Danny asked.

"The halfsa. Everybody in the Ghost Zone talks about you and your friend. You're half boys, half ghosts. The halfas! You and your friend have all our powers on the human plane. An..." Poindexter said, suddenly angry. "...and you're using your powers for evil?"

"No! Look! Just listen! I-I took over Dash's body because..." Danny said, sadly.

"Hey, wait. You can take over a person's body? Jeepers creepers, I would flip if I had your powers and your friend's powers. I wonder..." Poindexter said, turning intangible and flying into Danny's body, which starts glowing green and shaking as Danny struggles to resist.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" Danny exclaimed.

"Giving you a taste of your own medicine, bully."

"Listen to me! Dash-- isn't..." Danny said, as his face and body begin to distort into weird positions, which are accompanied by strange sounds, until a sudden calm comes over his body.

"You might use your powers to pick on innocent kids..." Poindexter said.

Danny's ghost half intangibly floats up out of his body and through the ceiling.

"But I sure as sugar won't." Poindexter said, now possessing Danny's body.

Danny's ghost half floats into locker 724 and into the mirror.

"Oh, Danny." Jared said, frowning. "That's why I didn't use my powers for evil."

On the other side, a locker door opens up to show students walking in a black-and-white fifties' version of Casper High in the Ghost Zone. A jock walking by doubles back to look into the locker.

"Hey, Poindexter." The '50s Jock #1 said.

Danny looks in the mirror behind him in the locker to see that he now looks like Poindexter. He screams.

(Jared's POV)

Jack and Maddie are running down a Casper High hallway, followed by Mr. Lancer. They come up to Tucker, Sam, and I who still has the box of frogs.

"Is it true? Did you kids just witness a ghost attack?" Maddie asked.

"Fear not, young ones." Jack said, raising electrified Ghost Gauntlets in the air. "These gloves are made for grabbing!"

Poindexter (in Danny's body) phases up intangibly through the floor behind Maddie.

"It is pretty shocking." I said, looking over at Poindexter.

Tucker sees and gasps, then he and I go over to block Poindexter from view as he turns tangible again.

"Uh, no ghost here, Mr. and Mrs. F." Tucker said, sadly.

"Only a girl trying to create a diversion for her own needs." Mr. Lancer said.

"Right. Right. No ghosts here." Sam said.

The adults run off.

"Watch it, Danny. Your parents almost caught your intangible act." Tucker said.

Poindexter smirks in satisfaction of not being suspected.

(Open POV)

Ghost Zone Casper High...

Danny (in Poindexter's body) is walking down a hallway, "Where am I? It's like I dropped into Grandpa Fenton's yearbook."

A male teen comes up to Danny, making him stop.

"Hey, Poindexter." Teen #1 said, as he points at Danny's chest. "You got a spot on your shirt." He flicks finger up to hit Danny in the nose. "Ha! Made you look!"

Teen #1 walks away.

Students in the hallway laugh as Danny glares and turns to keep walking, only to be tripped by a girl in a poodle skirt.

"Have a nice trip, Poindexter. See you next fall." The poodle skirt girl said, walking away.

While Danny is still on the ground, a punk male teen in a leather jacket grabs the back of his pants and pulls his underwear up to lift him into the air, giving him a wedgie.

"Hey, don't you know there's a dress code, Poindexter?" A punk asked, letting go of the underwear and it snapped over Danny's head.

Danny rips it off and runs to go through the front doors of the school. only to struggle to keep himself from falling as he realizes there's no ground as the school is floating in the Ghost Zone.

Danny falls, but catches himself on the front step and tries to pull himself back up, "I got to get out of here!"

(Jared's POV)

Sam, Poindexter, Tucker, and I are walking down a hallway. Tucker is now carrying the frogs.

"Ooh, ooh! Spiff diddly dee, man. So this is what it's like to have friends." Poindexter said.

"Danny? Are you sure you're okay?" I asked, sipping on some Mountain Dew.

"Danny?" Tucker asked.

"Oh, me? Yeah, right. I'm right like Ike, Mike." Poindexter said.

"Why does your voice sound so weird?" Sam asked.

"Uh...puberty?"

"What happened to Poindexter?" Tucker asked.

"Oh, that square?" Poindexter asked, while we stop walking. "He flew the coop. Permanent-like."

Poindexter continues walking as Sam, Tucker, and I stay behind, staring suspiciously at him.

Dash is hitting a vending machine, "Come on! Give me my soda!"

"Hey, let me help you out there, pal." Poindexter said, phasing an intangible hand through the side of the vending machine as Sam, Tucker, and I walk up.

Poindexter fumbles around until the machine clicks and dispenses a soda. Dash takes the soda and drinks it.

"Thanks, Fenton." Dash said, crushing the can.

"Eh, no problemo." Poindexter said.

"What, are you going through puberty?" Dash asked, as Sam, Tucker, and I share a questioning look. "Uh, you know, I'm a little tight on quarters. Think you can get a few more sodas for me and my pals?"

"Hehe, you betcha." Poindexter said, winking and phases a hand into the machine again to dispense more sodas.

"Danny, that's stealing." Sam said, sadly.

"It's stealing and it's wrong." I said, frowning.

"Eh, I'm sure that poor kid lost more than his fair share of quarters to the vicious bullies in this school." Poindexter said, gathering the sodas in his arms. "It's time somebody evened the score." He passed out sodas to Dash and his friends. "Hey, everybody! Egg creams on me."

"I don't know what the heck an egg cream is, but thanks!" Kwan said, excitedly.

"Well, this is new." Sam said, grabbing my hand.

(Open POV)

Ghost Zone Casper High...

Danny is walking up to locker 724.

"This is how I came in." Danny said, opening the locker. "There's got to be a way back!"

Danny touches the mirror inside. Present-day locker 724 glows green and flies open. Danny looks through the mirror to see what's happening.

"Huh?" Danny asked, in the mirror.

Danny sees Poindexter (in Danny's body) continuing to pass out sodas to a bunch of students. Danny then notices Dash.

"Here's to Fenton!" Dash said, toasting his soda.

The students cheer and raise their sodas.

"What the heck?!" Danny exclaimed, and Sam, Tucker, and Jared walk by the locker. "Tucker! Sam! Jared! It's me, Danny!"

"Hey, Fentonmeister! We're short one for touch football. Are you in?" Kwan asked, coming up to Poindexter.

"Posi-lutely abs-itively." Poindexter said.

"Posi-lutely?" Kwan asked, laughing. "When did you get a sense of humor?"

Dash, Kwan, and the other students lead Poindexter away as they continue to cheer. Poindexter suddenly notices that locker 724 is open and rushes ahead to close it quickly. On his side of the mirror, Danny is thrown back from the force across the hallway. A jock comes up to him.

"Hey, Poindexter. What's black and blue and can't touch the floor? Hehe." '50s Jock #2 said.

"I...give up." Danny said.

"You!" '50s Jock #2 said, picking Danny up off the floor. "Ha!"

Danny braces for impact before he gets punched.

Present-day Casper High football field...

Two groups of students are huddled up separately, one of which includes Poindexter and the jocks.

"Okay, Fenton. After the snap, I'll hand the ball off to you." Dash said, while Poindexter salutes and runs off, laughing crazily, before the blonde jock looked to the rest of the group. "Leave him wide open for punishment."

The group breaks its huddle and lines up for the snap.

Casper High in the Ghost Zone...

Danny is hanging by his shirt from a ceiling fan, struggling to get down. His shirt finally rips and he falls to the floor, then runs over to open locker 724. He puts his hands on the mirror inside.

"Have to contact them somehow." Danny said, emitting a green energy that transfers through the mirror and into the present-day version of the locker.

(Jared's POV)

The energy then travels as a ray down the hallway and outside to the football field, where it begins to carve a message into the turf at Sam'sc Tucker's, and my feet. Meanwhile, the two groups of students are lined up for the football snap. Dale snaps the ball to Dash, who winks at him and Kwan as a signal for them to give Poindexter space. Dash then hands the ball to a confused Poindexter. Sam, Tucker, and I wince in anticipation of the impending tackle.

"Well, it was nice knowing him." Sam said.

"Think I can have his computer?" Tucker asked.

The green energy finishes writing the message in the turf, which reads, 'TUCKER, SAM, JARED, OPEN LOCKER 724'.

"Yup." I said, happily. "It's a good computer if we're talking early 2000s standards."

Meanwhile, the opposing team tries to tackle Poindexter, but he goes intangible and phases out of the pile of players to run the ball in for a touchdown. Dash and his friends look astonished.

"Fenton's got game! Who knew?" Dash asked.

Poindexter does a little touchdown dance of celebration. Sam, Tucker, and I look happy and relieved he didn't get hurt, and look down at the ground at their feet. However, before we have a chance to see Danny's message to them, Jack and Maddie run up, wiping out the message with their feet.

"There's a ghost in here. I can feel it in my boots! And I'm not leaving this campus..." Jack said, holding up the Ghost Gauntlets. "...'til these gloves grab some ghost."

The Fenton Finder that Maddie is holding begins to beep, and she turns it towards the source: Poindexter in Danny's body. The Fenton Finder reads, 'GHOST!' and shows Danny's image.

"A ghost? That can't be right. Hmm. Looks like we'll be staking out the school all night. Don't wait up." Maddie said, smiling.

"In that case, I need to use the little ghost hunters' room." Jack said, handing me the gauntlets. "Hold these gloves, son. Where I'm going, there's no need for that much power."

"Okay." I said, and Jack and Maddie run off.

"Party at Fenton's house!" Dash said, excitedly.

Students cheer.

"Hot dog! Where does he live?" Poindexter asked.

"It's your house, bonehead. Is he hilarious or what?" Kwan asked.

"Free soda, a touchdown, and the opportunity to trash a classmate's living room. Jared, that's something you could do if you knew it was the end and wanted to party. How easily the letter jacket and pom-pom set is swayed." Sam said, looking at me.

"That is true. I did do that. Nine hundred years worth." I said, letting out a sigh. "It wasn't fun one bit."

"I don't know. Danny seems a little...off." Tucker said.

"Although, the residual popularity effect could work to our advantage." Sam said, looking at the 'Save the Frogs!' badge on her shirt. "Oh, Kwan!" She runs over to Kwan, waving the badge. "You simply must wear one of these 'Save the Frogs!' badges. It's all the rage."

"I don't know..." Kwan said.

"Hey! Boss badge. Can I have one?" Poindexter asked, taking the badge.

Poindexter puts the badge on his shirt. The other popular kids begin to crowd around him.

"Hey, I want one!" Dash yelled.

"Me, too. I can wear it with my old army lime green baby tee!" Paulina said, excitedly.

"Give me one, yo!" Kwan said, looking at Sam. "I started this trend."

"Hang on, folks." Sam said, and she, Tucker, and I begin to run away. "Plenty more in my locker where that one came from."

(Open POV)

Locker 724...

It is glowing green. Just as Sam, Tucker, and Jared walk by, the locker door flies open, scaring the three of them.

"Sam! Tucker! Jared! In here!" Danny said, from inside the mirror.

"Poindexter?" Sam asked.

"Nope, that's Danny." Jared said, when a blue mist came out of his mouth. "Or I think it's Danny."

"Jared's right." Danny said. "Poindexter took over my body and sent me into this bizarro spirit world."

Sam, Tucker, and Jared share a disbelieving look. The three of them cross their arms.

"Prove it." Sam said.

"In second grade, Tucker threw up in Sam's lunch box, but he told her Ricky Marsh did it." Danny said.

Tucker waves his hands to stop Danny as Sam gasps.

"What? I kicked him off the monkey bars for that!" Sam said, pointing at Tucker, who smiles guiltily. "It was you?"

Tucker, Sam, and Jared stop in realization and look back in the mirror.

"Danny?" Sam, Tucker, and Jared asked, at the same time.

"The mirror acts as some kind of portal, but I can't phase through it." Danny said, trying to get through the mirror, before sighing in defeat. "Serves me right. I'm only in here because I was acting like a bully. Now I'm in here and I'm gonna get bullied for the rest of eternity!"

"Danny, you might not be able to get out." Jared said, smirking. "But that doesn't mean Poindexter can't get back into the 50's Ghost Zone version of Casper High."

"I doubt he's in a big hurry to go back where he came from." Tucker said.

"He really isn't. Since all he wants to do is be around the popular crowd. And not being bullied. He did want to stop it."

"I know how to get him in here. Here's what you need to do." Danny said, thinking and getting an idea.

A while later, Sam ran and pulled Poindexter by the arm down the hallway.

"Danny! Come quick! A bully is shoving poor, defenseless nerds inside their own lockers." Sam said.

Tucker and Jared stand indifferently with their hands behind their backs in front of an open locker 724. Sam stops running and Poindexter skids to halt.

"Tucker! Jared! I'll save you!" Poindexter said, going ghost. "Hey, there's no nerds getting shoved inside their lockers."

Jared casually walks forward, then produces the Ghost Gauntlets from behind his back. Poindexter screams, and Jared grabs him with the gauntlets.

"There is one now." Jared said, smirking. "That being you, Sidney Poindexter."

"Noooooo!" Poindexter said, terrified.

As Poindexter yells, Jared shoves him into the locker and through the mirror to a waiting Danny, who pulls him out on his side of the mirror into the hallway on the floor.

"You've had your fun. Now I want my body and my life back." Danny said.

"Forget you, bully! You're not going anywhere." Poindexter said, standing up.

Poindexter flies at Danny, but is shaky and ends up hitting him with his backside. Danny crashes into a wall, and Poindexter flies at him again, this time more confident and stable.

"Haha!" Poindexter said, turning intangible. "I'm doing it!"

Danny narrowly dodges the attack, and Poindexter phases through the wall.

"You may have my powers, but you sure don't know how to use them. 'Course, I don't know how to use them, but at least I know how not to use them better than you do." Danny said.

Poindexter phases back out of the wall and tries to hit Danny mid-air, which Danny dodges.

"You wouldn't hit a guy with glasses." Danny said, ducking as Poindexter tries to hit him. "You couldn't hit a guy with glasses." He ducks another hit. "In fact, you couldn't hit the broad side of a barn!"

"Hold still." Poindexter said, frustrated.

The school bell rings, and students come out of classrooms and crowd around Danny and Poindexter.

"Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!" The students said, chanting.

Poindexter tries to hit Danny as he continues to duck, then tries to hit him again, the momentum of the swing making him spin.

"Hey! Get a load of Poindexter. He's fighting one of the halfas!" '50s Jock #3 said, excitedly.

"Hehe! Look at him stand up to that weird-haired ghost boy." A greaser said.

"I'm not a bully!" Danny yelled.

Poindexter takes the opportunity of distraction to punch Danny into locker 724, the door closing on him.

"Now, if you don't mind, I'm gonna live it up some more in your body." Poindexter said, while the locker opens and Danny steps out, holding the mirror above his head. "What?!"

"One false move, and I smash your door back to my world." Danny said.

"You wouldn't. You'd strand us both here." Poindexter said.

"Try me." Danny said, lowering the mirror.

Poindexter reaches for the mirror, and Danny pulls it back.

"I've got a better idea. I can make you. With your powers, I can make you do anything." Poindexter said, turning intangible and phases into Danny, who drops the mirror and glows green.

"That's what I was hoping you'd do." Danny said, his face once again distorts into weird positions, and he falls on the floor.

Danny, now back in his own body, phases out of Poindexter and flies into the air.

"Huh? No!" Poindexter said, in his own body.

Danny flies into the mirror. Poindexter picks it up, yelling at it.

"I'll get out of here, buster brown! And when I do, you better watch it!" Poindexter said, angrily.

A group of students walks up behind him.

"Hey, nerd! Nice job standing up to one of the halfas." '50s Jock #3 said.

"Who'd have thought you had it in you?" The greaser asked.

"You wanna grab an egg cream?" The poodle skirt girl asked.

Poindexter smiles and puts the mirror back in his locker.

"Of course, I could hang here..." Poindexter said, closing the locker. "...for a little bit." He looked over at the students. "Hey, the heck with the egg cream. Who's up for a diet soda? Whatever that is!"

(Jared's POV)

Casper High...

Mr. Lancer is carrying a box of frogs in the present-day Casper High. I turn invisible, so I won't be seen by Mr Lancer.

Right as Mr Lancer passes locker 724, Danny falls out of it (back in his human form), knocking them both to the ground. The frogs begin to hop away out of the dropped box. Mr. Lancer runs after them, passing Sam and Tucker leaning on some lockers and me invisible.

"No! Come back!" Mr. Lancer said, worried.

"Oh, dear. Whatever will we do?" Sam asked, sarcastically, as Danny walks up to us, looking down. "Good one, Danny."

"Yeah. But how do we know you're really Danny?" Tucker asked.

"Because I used my powers for the wrong reason and became exactly the kind of person I hate. It got me into a load of trouble, and I'm not gonna do that again." Danny said, sadly.

"Now that's the Danny I remember." Sam said.

"That's how I felt around the Daleks and Davros. Those are the kind of people I hate." I said, frowning. "So, what will you do now?"

"Just one more thing to do." Danny said, taking the mirror out of his locker.

Danny throws the mirror on the ground, shattering it.

"Fenton!" Mr Lancer said, and the four of us turns to look at him. "That's school property."

Mr. Lancer is wearing a 'Save the Frogs!' badge standing in front of a crowd of students also wearing badges and holding signs for the frog campaign.

"I can explain!" Danny said, hesitating. "Actually, I really can't."

"I'm holding you responsible for this and the escaped frogs, but seeing how..." Mr. Lancer said, looking at Dash. "...upstanding students like Dash Baxter have made their opinions known, I'm willing to overlook the frogs. Miss Manson, you could learn a thing or two from them about activism." Sam frowns. "Still..." He holds up a pencil and notebook. "...that leaves the matter of your locker. I'm going to have to assign you a new one."

A while has passed, and Danny's new locker is next to a door that has a 'Band Room' sign over it. Danny closes his locker as the tuba player from earlier walks by. Dash and Kwan then walk up behind him.

"Hanging with band geeks, Fenton?" Kwan asked.

"No amount of free soda's gonna fix that." Dash said.

They walk away, and two band kids, one of which is named Lyle, walk up to Danny.

"Hi. I'm Lyle. Wanna help me clean my spit valve?" Lyle asked, holding up his instrument.

"My fifteen minutes of popularity is up, and I wasn't even here for it." Danny said, sighing.

Sam and I stand next to Danny, with the goth holding a mechanical frog.

"Yeah, but at least it wasn't a total loss." Sam said, looking at the mechanical frog. "Looks like this baby's gonna get some use after all."

"You mean used by an idiot." I said, when the Box Ghost swoops in and takes the frog out of Sam's hands, flying above us. "That being the Box Ghost."

"Aha! I am no longer the Box Ghost. I am now the mechanical frog ghost!" The Box Ghost yelled.

The frog crackles with electricity and the Box Ghost drops it onto Tucker's head out of fear.

"Uh, I've changed my mind! I am once again the Box Ghost, who will have nothing to do with mechanical amphibians." The Box Ghost said, raising his arms. "Beware!"

The Box Ghost phases through the lockers.

"Now there's a guy who knows exactly who he is." Danny said.

"Yup." I said, as the frog on Tucker's head croaks. "That is true."
