In a dark room of a lab, the tooth-sickening sound of metal rubbing could be heard.
Two strong men in guard uniforms pushed open an iron door. They dragged a hospital bed and walked into the room.
On the hospital bed lay a teenager of Asian ethnicity.
His hands and feet were tightly bound by leather buckles, he could hardly move his body at all. He could barely turn his head to look at the surroundings.
The room was dark and narrow, with an operating table in the middle and a light hanging down from the roof above it.
Judging from the dirty curtain and the rusty operating lamp above the head, it is obvious that this place is not up to the standard that a hospital's operating room should have. There was even a faint smell of blood.
Besides the operating table stood a man wearing a white coat. He was fiddling with some medical instruments as if preparing for something.

It increased until Derrick's body couldn't bear the load anymore, or he passed out. These tortures made him feel like dying would be better than continuing but whenever he would try to kill himself, he would later open his eyes, still alive, being forced to bear another round of torture for trying to kill himself.
Over and over and over and over again...
Derrick wants to get out of this lab, he wants to see the sun again but he knows what will happen. He knows the future, and he knows very well that if he answers any questions that Francis asks, his days might start getting much worse.
Moreover, he was not the only unlucky guy being tortured here, all the 'patients' in this lab were actually experimental subjects who had lost their freedom like him.
The painful experience these days made Derrick understand one thing thoroughly. The only way to stop this torture now is not even death, it is to escape this lab.

After waiting for a while, Francis figured that Derrick still had no intention of answering, Francis' eyes showed a trace of coldness.
"It seems that you still don't intend to tell the truth...It's okay, we have all time in the world. I'll make you talk." Francis said. His fingers trailed slowly down Derrick's cheek, leaving a cold, clammy trail in his wake.
Francis pushed some needles connected to some wires next to him in front of Derrick.
His fingers were stained with some unknown liquid and he began to spread it evenly on Derrick's temples.
As if wanting to crush Derrick's mentality, Francis said slowly while fiddling with Derrick, "In the next few days, your body will be continuously connected to some current, but you can rest assured that this voltage will not kill you. It will only make you feel a little pain and uncomfortable."
Looking at the metal needles in Francis' hands, Derrick's heart skipped a beat.
"Wait!" Derrick spoke up. Forced by the oppressive atmosphere, Derrick finally spoke.
Seeing this, Francis immediately thought that his method had worked. He looked down at Derrick, and said with a sneer, "I'll give you one last chance to tell me. Who are you?"
"I am..." Derrick's mind was running wildly. He definitely couldn't tell the truth so his mind was trying to make an identity.
Derrick had no choice but to bite the bullet and said, "Yes, it's I am… it's actually quite complicated..."
Francis frowned, it sounded like Derrick was trying to make a joke out of him. He couldn't help urging, "Say it!"

The operating room that caused him the pain was gone. He was now in a grand and spacious hall.
Through the dim lights in the hall, he could see a large number of hospital beds around him.
Lying on it were people in white hospital gowns. They all had different expressions but most of them were numb. There were endless wailing and screams and an atmosphere of despair filled the entire hall.
"Well..." After the recovery of his consciousness, Derrick's body suddenly felt a sharp pain.
He held his chest with his hand tightly, cold sweat oozed out from his forehead as his face turned very pale from pain.
At that moment, Derrick felt as if countless ants were gnawing on his body.
He did not feel this pain till now because he was unconscious.
It was happening because his body was connected to the high voltage electric current. Under the stimulation of the electric current, his muscles and nerves suffered serious damage, his organs were damaged, resulting in intense pain but he had felt things like this before.
