The Immortal (twilight fanfiction)

"An everyday man gets thrown into the world of twilight thousands of years before the start of the plot. With immortality and incredible abilities. How will this man's presence change the outcome of the original story?" [ this is a slow-burn fanfiction; the MC is just trying to experience life and enjoy it, not to take over the world and rule from the shadows.] I do not own twilight or the characters of the twilight world, all that belongs to me are my own characters.

Adam didn't exactly know what happened after he was consumed by the massive fireball that swallowed him whole.

For a while, he felt like a piece of clothes in the dryer. Constantly spinning around like a ragdoll.

Maybe if he didn't feel like he had just been bitch slapped by the sun, he would have noticed the fact that he was now falling, and picking up speed.

When the fireball from the blast hit him, it melted much of his skin, making it impossible for him to open his eyes and see what was happening.

But there would have been nothing he could have done, even if he could see.

But thankfully after a few minutes, the itchy feeling of his healing started to cover him, from head to toe, and shortly after he was finally able to open his eyes.

But all he was met with, was a glimpse of the fast approaching ground. But by then, he was already screwed, and didn't have time to stop his in-air Flipping, and just braced himself for impact.

The pain was like being pricked by a needle. short, and quick.

Notice how I didn't say 'painful'.

That's because, by some stroke of luck, he landed on his back.

Breaking his spine almost completely, Making the pain he would have felt nonexistent.

But all the same, his vision went blank as he impacted. His Brain smashing around the inside of his skull.

(Adam POV)

I don't know how long it took for me to come back to consciousness. But when I did, there was little I could do.

I was numb and couldn't feel anything but my face.

Which at first freaked me out to no end.

This was the first time I had paralyzed myself after all.

But like always, I slowly started to heal myself.

With cracks and the occasional pop, my spine started to realign itself back to its original straight self, as well as heal any of the other broken bits and pieces of myself that I got during my great fall back to earth.

As I waited, feeling slowly came back to me.

It was that annoying feeling you get when you fall asleep on your arm, where it feels like a million small needles pricking you.

But instead of just my arm, it covered my whole body.

"Ahhh, shhiitt." I groaned, when the feeling finally started to fade.

Slowly, I sat up.

'I should have just stayed in England, people finding out who I am, be damned.' I thought.

Rolling my head around to get rid of the stiffness, I finally looked up at the damage I had created.

"Holy fuck!" I unconsciously let out as I looked around.

At the moment I was in a small crater, which was only about a foot deep, leaving me able to see out.

What was once a small clearing with green grass, and trees surrounded it, Was now a scene of no man's land.

Slowly standing to my feet, I realized I was now in the nude.

'Damn.' I thought, thinking of the fine silks I had just lost.

'Fuck it, they were already covered in blood any ways.'

Now standing, I got an even better view of my surroundings.

The clearing that had once been about the size of a baseball field, had now tripled in size.

With the trees that had once surrounded it gone, with nothing more than the charred stumps left as reminders of the large trees that had once stood there proudly and alive.

The ground itself was covered in ash, that would toss up small plooms of it every time I took a step. After a moment I finally realized what the ash had come from.

'The werewolves.' I thought, slightly creeped out at the thought I was being covered in the cremated remains of crazed beasts that had once been human.

It really wasn't that that really bothered me though.

It was the fact I was currently going free willy at the moment, and the bits I don't want to be covered in cremated remains are being covered in it by me walking.

Putting that to the back of my mind for the moment, I continued to make sure nothing else had survived the blast.

Turning around, I saw that less than a hundred feet from where I stood, was another much larger crater, which must have been where the orb had impacted.

But something more important popped into my head before I started to walk towards the crater.

When I turned my head, something felt off.

Doing it again, I again felt weird for some reason.

'What the hell.' I thought, now continuously Turning my head side to side, like a crazy person.

'What is missing here….'

Dropping to my knees, I brought both my hands to my head and let out a cry as I realized what was gone.

"NOOOOO…NOT MY HAIR!" I yelled, as I felt my smooth head.

What I had been missing was the feeling of my long hair on my shoulders.

For thousands of years my hair had been one of the only constants in my life, while the rest of the world was constantly changing.

And now that it was gone, a pit formed in my stomach, and a scar on my soul.

Yes I knew I would grow it back, but still, the mental damage of not having it hurt quite a bit.

Feeling a cool breeze on my now bald head, I couldn't help but shake my head.

'There's no use crying about it now, it's already gone.' I thought, and I stood back up to my feet, and dusted as much of the ash off of me as I could.

'But I'm still pissed!'I thought, angered.

Looking around the dark clearing one more, one more thing caught my eye.

The crater.

Making my way over, I stopped at the edge and looked down.

The crater was about ten feet deep, and fifteen feet wide.

Making for one impressive hole.

At the bottom of the crater was something white.

'It's that "things" cloak.' I thought, as I lept down, to search what was left of it.

Crouching down I picked up the few remaining pieces of cloth that somehow remained.

Lifting up some of the fabric, I didn't find anything, just more ash.

"Not too strong now are you, you little shit." I said, remembering when I was hesitant to fight it.

"Well I guess I can get out of here now." I said out loud to myself.

This chapter Is short, I know, but this whole arc kinda sucked for me, and made me not want to write this fanfick any more.

Because I really want to get to the main story instead of all this small stuff.

Plus it's taking me way too long to get it over with, making my wish to write smaller and smaller.

For that reason, there is only going to be one more chapter, before some time skips.

Or well, they won't be time skips.

I'm going to summarize what Adam does in a chunk of years.

Like when he meets some important people, or what he does in some important periods of time, before some stuff starts to happen, setting off the start of the main story plot.

For this chapter I was going to have the MC fight the big werewolf and all that, but I just couldn't find it in me to write it.

Maybe someday, when I'm motivated enough, I will come back to this chapter and write that into the story.

Because I know the MC won't be bitten, so it won't really affect the story any.

And sorry to those who might have been looking forward to this.
