Chapter 24

***Nefal***

My daughter's birthday is nigh. At midnight, I will lose sight of her. The curse I put on her will no longer haunt her anymore. The curse only lasts until the girl's sixteenth birthday. Ever since she was born, I knew that she was bound to do this. I knew that she would oppose me and the great destroyer, Abaddon. I'm nearly complete. His power is almost under control. If I can control its power, I control the world. Nothing that my daughter or the Goddess can do will be able to stop me. However, the presence those two give off, I can feel it from so far away. I only hope my Chaos Bringers can stop them.

The great Ice Castle looms in front of us. The ship didn't have any trouble in the great sea that surrounds my homeland. I've only been here once before and that was when Rias was born. I took her here as a gift to Abaddon. Abaddon then told me that he can't take one with the Mark of the Goddess. It surprised me that Rias was born with the Mark of the Goddess. I turned her in my arms so that I can look at her. In her right eye, was the Mark of the Goddess. She never had it when she was born. A foolish mistake on my end bringing her to the Ice Castle all those years ago. The Goddess protected her from Abaddon and gave her the right to use the Ice Crystal. The Goddess saw everything before it happened. What she didn't see however was what happened next. I used the full extent of my power to defeat Abaddon and consume his power and then in turn take Hers.

Here in the Ice Castle, are several floors. The top houses the Goddess's domain where she controls the world's fate. In the deepest level of the Castle lays the demonic world of Abaddon. I will make this entire castle my domain! Fingers of darkness envelops me and I feel Abaddon's power coming to fruition. I spread the darkness until it enveloped the castle in an eerie glow. I change the castle's shape and power into my own domain.

I let the power flow back into me after changing everything. As the last of the power enters me, I feel as if I'm being torn to shreds. I kneel to the ground as a black circle of magic forms around me. What's going on! This isn't Abaddon! It's the power! So much power! The black circle let's loose a wall of darkness so thick that I can no longer see the Castle anymore. I feel my body changing. I grip my shoulders in agony as the power begins to change me. Four jet black wings sprout from my back. My right arm turns into pure darkness and solidifies. I look over at my arm. What have I become? I walk over to some ice and look into it. I no longer look like my former self. My arm is completely enveloped in darkness that ends in a claw like hand. The jet black wings are bigger than I am. My face is no longer human, but like my arm: nothing but darkness and my eyes are glowing red. This is the true power that has taken me sixteen years to control. Now I control it. That means one thing: Rias has turned sixteen and the final battle will be soon. I know that my lackeys cannot defeat her and the Goddess. They're just pawns in my grand scheme to ruin the world little by little!
