Hybrid.

Logan patted Ava head softly as he watched her sleep. In between the smile he also saw pain and sadness in Ava eyes no matter how much she tried to hide it. He knew she was afraid of losing him just the way she has lost her godmother and Lia, a woman she once called her friend and he also knew that this wife of his knew of Serefina involvement in making his life miserable and that was why he saw desperation in her eyes when she asked him if he was proud of her. He felt Ava stirring in her sleep and wonder if she was having a nightmare and truly Ava was having a terrible nightmare. She saw blood everywhere and bodies were on the ground. Some of the bodies on the ground were in wolves form while others were in human form, it was a complete massacre and when she saw Logan standing in the middle of it all she felt safe and ran to him and then she whispered "Logan" and when Logan turned to her she was terrified, his eyes were red and emotionless, his fang was big and it was dripping blood and even his claw was so long and sharp that she could also see blood on it. His whole body was covered with blood and after Ava looked around her once again she faced Logan and asked "Did you do all these?"

But Logan didn't answer her question, instead he turned his back and left her and when Ava tried to run after him she couldn't, it was as if no matter how much she ran she could never catch up to him, she finally gave up and cried as she whispered "Don't leave me, Logan"

"Ava, wake up" Logan said when he saw Ava crying. He became anxious and called out again "Wake up" and he felt relieve when Ava opened her eyes but was confused when she suddenly hugged him. He hugged her back and asked softly while caressing her hair "Did you have a nightmare?"

Ava didn't say anything but just nodded her head.

Logan kept quiet for some seconds before he asked again "Do you want to talk about it with me?"

When Ava didn't reply, he thought perhaps she didn't want to say anything about it but before he could give her more comfort, Ava suddenly said "Your eyes were red and you looked at me as if you didn't even know me. It was so scary, especially the part when you left. Even when I tried to keep up with you i couldn't no matter how much I ran after you."

"Was that all?" Logan asked softly.

"I also saw the bodies of some wolves and human lying lifelessly on the ground. And you were covered with blood and when I asked if you were responsible for it you didn't say anything to me and you left me." Ava said as she remembered how terrified she was when she couldn't catched up to Logan. She has already lost her godmother who she trusted so much, she can never bare it if Logan were to abandon her.

As for Logan he stiffened when Ava said she saw bodies of wolves and human lying lifelessly on the floor but he immediately regained his composure when his little wife started crying. He hugged her more tightly and said "It was just a dream, and besides I can never leave you."

"But when your eyes became red after you saw the scar on my chest, you asked me to leave." Ava said as she cried the more, she wondered if Logan was going to someday leave her.

"Ava whenever my eyes become red, I am unable to control the things I do and sometimes I don't even remember them and that was why I ask you to leave." He removed Ava from his embrace and cupped her cheek as he said "I will never be able to live with myself if I were to hurt you."

"Maybe Lia was right. I can't become the Luna of the Crystal pack, I am just human. You need someone who is strong enough to fight beside you, not someone whom you need to protect every time." Ava said. For the first time she realized that maybe Lia was right after all. Logan is an Alpha who is strong and respected in every pack all over the world. As a human she will always be limited. She cried out in pain when Logan flicked her head with his fingers and she wanted to scold him but she couldn't because the moment she saw his blue eyes staring at her she knew once again that she truly has fallen deeply for him. He was staring at with so much love and affection that she felt he was going to drown her with his eyes.

"Who told you, you were weak and unable to stand by my side?"

"Isn't it true?."

"Who was the person who had a duel with a wolf, blinded her left eye and even turned her into a rougue."

"Well, that was because...."

"And who was also the person who just poisoned a witch and left unscathed? It is you my princess. You may not be a wolf or a witch but you are strong and beautiful and you are not afraid to fight for what you want and I love you for that. I love your boldness and courage" Logan lower his head and whispered horsely on her lips as he said "And you have no idea how much you drive me crazy" he gave her a soft kiss and continued "How much I want you, so don't ever think you are unworthy of me. We are in this together, I am yours and you are mine and I am never going to leave you, so stop crying and kiss me" Logan said as he wiped away her tears with his hands.

Ava blushed were she heard everything Logan said about her and even became more red when Logan asked her to kiss, but since the fear of losing him was still in her heart, she felt she needed to assure herself so she kissed him and was surprised when Logan didn't take over the kiss immediately like before. She used her tongue to lick Logan bottom lips and his groan made her to moan, she slide her hands to his hair and thrust her tongue into Logan mouth, she suck on his tongue and felt more courageous when Logan groan. After kissing him for a while, she was about to withdraw her lips when Logan held the back of her head and crash his lips on her again. He laid her softly on the bed and was about to take off her clothing when Ava held his hands to stop him.

Logan looked at her eyes and saw desire in them, so he was confused on why Ava wanted him to stop and fortunately Ava answered the question that was going on in his mind without him voicing them.

Breathing heavily, Ava said "I want to ask you a question that has been bothering me for some time now."

Logan felt a bad feeling about Ava question, but he knew he couldn't refused her so he said "What is that?"

"You are a werewolf but why does your eyes turned red? Could it be you are a special kind of werewolf?." Ava asked. She felt nervous when asking Logan this question. Not only was she nervous for his answer but she was also worried that Logan wouldn't answer her and instead brush her off but to her surprised Logan said "I am an Hybrid."

"Hybrid? What is that?" Ava asked softly

"It means I am a vampire and a werewolf"

"But how is that possible?" Ava asked, feeling more confused.

"My father was a werewolf but my mom..." Logan gave a brief pause before he continued "She is a vampire."
