Chapter 8(Short)

"Even if I have John's memories it's still hard to know where I'm going," Dexter thought to himself. "I should almost be there" as Dexter came to a stop he was in front of an apartment "From his memories, it should be on the 5th floor" Dexter got up to the 5th floor and checked under the rug, and just like it was in John's memories there was a spare key.

"This must be my new place but it's kinda small" Dexter checked out the place and saw that it was a studio apartment "From now on this will be my new house thank you, John". The sight of this place brought back memories for Dexter "This looks just like my place before I was summoned to Astoria".

"He should have had a laptop where is it" Dexter found the laptop stored inside the desk "It's been a while since I last used this" Dexter searched up the history of earth to find out why there is magic on earth. As Dexter read about what happened in the thousand-year that passed on earth he was shocked [It was the year 2100 that everything changed, all of a sudden black gates started to appear around the world, at first humans didn't know what it was until it was too late and swarms of the monster came out of the gates]

Dexter was shocked but kept on reading [As the earth was being destroyed and millions dying humans started to awaken special abilities and fought back against the monster but this wasn't the end as the earth was starting to change. As observed by scientists all around the world, the earth was getting bigger and new species and biomes were appearing but what shocked the world were fantasy-like beings started to appear. It was like a different world was combing with earth, it was found out the otherworldly beings were from a world called Astoria. People of Astoria have stated they suddenly appeared on earth with no recollection of how they got here, with the help of scholars of Astoria it was learned that the entire world of Astoria was combined with Earth with not a single rock missing]

Reading all of this Dexter finally understood why he saw the different races of Astoria here it was because the two worlds combined "I can't believe all this happened while I was gone". As Dexter kept reading he was surprised [Gods appeared on earth] reading this Dexter remembered what the goddess said to him "She did say the void was used by gods so they also appeared on earth that also means she is here".

"So I came back for a reason it was to get revenge on that damn goddess just wait until I get my hands on you" rage could be seen filling Dexter's eyes, he researched more on the gods "There's a lot of gods I only remembering meeting the one, it also says some awakened people get blessed by gods becoming their champion". Dexter could see different champions of the gods as he continued to scroll down until one caught his attention "That's Sofie".

Seeing a picture of Sofie infuriated him "How is she alive?" clicking on her picture brought Dexter to an article about her [Sofie is one of the heroes who fought against the swarm of monsters when both worlds combined] reading the article he understood how she was still alive "She says Theia the goddess of light granted her eternal youth after defeating the demon king". Dexter did more research and found Theo and Erika were also alive "So the damn goddess name was Theia and it seems all three of my former comrades are alive but I can't seem to find much on Nar, since all three of them are alive I can take my revenge I'll kill all of them".
