Chapter 14: Silhouette In The Night

Bob was transported back in time as he stood under the hot shower. *Ah, I miss this place. It always feels great to be back here.*

He was soon out of the shower and drying up, but when he looked out the window, he realized the rain would not end anytime soon. Then it dawned on him.

*Boy, what was I thinking? I better get Jackie a blanket and something comfortable to put on while her clothes dry.*

He rummaged through his closet for something Jackie could put on while waiting.

*Here we go, my old college tee-shirt -- this will do nicely!*

In the living room, Jackie sat down on the fur rug in front of the fire, wearing only the towel Bob had handed her. It was already wet, and she felt damp and miserable.

*Damn! My clothes don’t seem to be drying at all. It’s not just cold but terribly humid up in these hills!*
