**The Day before**
[Terminal Two, Singapore International Airport]
“Can I offer you a towel, Ma’am?” the flight attendant in the Business Class section said to Jackie.
“Yes, thank you.”
It had been a hectic two weeks, and Jackie felt relieved embarking on the flight to Kuala Lumpur. She looked out at the tarmac and recalled recent events.
*I can’t believe we’re finally signing the agreement… We’ve certainly found the right party to work with. I’ve got a good feeling about Bob… He’s pretty cool.*
The purser’s voice came over the PA. “Ladies and Gentlemen, we shall be taking off shortly. Kindly ensure your seatbelts are fastened, chair-tables stowed, and seats upright. Thank you.”
As the jet rumbled down the runway, Jackie looked out the window and saw the ground recede away into the distance.
*Arno sure didn’t take it well… Can’t blame him, though -- he did his best to secure a good deal for my emerald necklace.*
