While Marcus and William were having a conversation in the former's study, Elijah paced in the hallway outside, worried about what must be going on inside his father's study.
He kept on anxiously glancing at the closed door, fearing that his father and Uncle William might get into an argument because of the last night's events. He still could not believe that Ethan would do betray Caroline like that.
Both of them seemed to be so much in love, but Ethan ruined everything. Elijah was also worried about Caroline and he wondered if something had happened to the poor girl which led to William march inside their house in so much anger.
His mother was equally worried and for the very same reasons. Her face etched with concern as she hovered near the door, clearly anxious about what was being discussed inside.
