It all fell apart

On the day of the new year party I couldn't help but feel like something bad is about to happen.

About an hour ago D.F brought me my jumpsuit.

She knew just the way I liked to dress. The jumpsuit was pretty plain just black with long sleeves and a silver jewel in front.

I put it on and joined the party an hour after it began.

The party was being held in the hall on the top floor which was surprisingly big if it contained all the citizens of lucem.

Though the citizens of lucem are not much due to the war and attacks by tenebras they are well over fifty thousand.

But as I stepped into the large hall I knew that the hall could still take twice the size of the people currently occupying it.

I searched for David in the crowd and found him talking to etim and kady at the snack table which was as long as two banquet tables combined.

"Hey David can I talk to you for a sec" hearing this kady and etim left us.

When I was sure they were out of earshot I said "so how's the plan going"

"I haven't seen the girls yet" he said with his mouth stuffed with food.

"Have you looked for them?" I asked impatiently.

His eyes were downcast now and he looked like a guilty puppy "no"

I sighed now "it's okay let's go" I took his hand without even thinking about it and took him to where I had seen the girls earlier.

But now only Hailey and D.F were there.

I shoved him over there and I gave him a thumbs up before hiding behind some people so I can stay out of sight.

He walked up to them and they started talking about something but u couldn't hear from here but from the expression on Hailey's face she knew she'd been caught.

She took his arm and dragged him out of sight with D.F trailing behind.

They stepped out of the hall and she pushed David to the wall.

I stood in the hall and stuck my head out as I spied on them.

"The cats already out of the bag so just tell me on your own" he said folding his arms.

I have to admit he's a pretty good actor.

D.F sighed and Hailey ran her fingers through her thick hair.

"Just spill it" he said.

It's obvious that even he wants to know now.

D.F nudged her "we can't keep it from him forever just tell him"

She sighed but remained silent and for a moment I was convinced she wouldn't say anything.

Until she said "it started two days before our trip to the mountains in the TARANA I was eating then I saw something" she paused looking for words to explain it "it was like a dream or a trance of sorts but I saw us ready for a huge battle at the top of a mountain as the earth shook under our feets"

And that's when I registered it.

She was describing what happened when we were at the top of the mountain expecting an epic showdown but Penelope bailed us out.

"So you had a vision?" Was all David said and she nodded but obviously she wasn't finished.

"I was conflicted about it and I was going to tell you but then I had another vision" she paused for a while and looked at D.F for mental support and she nodded for her to continue "but this time i saw Jewel's father"

My father.

I sure wasn't expecting that.

And as if reading my mind David said "Jewel's father? How come? How do you even know who he is? Cause I'm pretty sure even jewel doesn't know who he is?"

"Just let her finish" D.F said.

She took a deep breath and continued "I witnessed jewel being born okay? I saw when he named her jewel and when he held her for the first time." I was very confused now so I waited for her to continue maybe it would reduce my confusion.

"Over time I had more visions about him and these weren't as cute. Jewel's father was not a good man."

How dare she? How dare she judge my father? She didn't know him.

But I didn't know him either so I don't know why I'm getting so angry but I still waited for her to finish.

"Jewel's father was the king of tenebras and he was a ruthless one. He killed innocent people and enslaved many and that wasn't even the worst thing he did" she paused as though to create more tension.

"A few days after jewel was born he did something to her. It was kind of like a mark but I didn't really understand it" she turned again to look at D.F "he put a mark of a black jewel on her forehead. And basically what the mark is supposed to do is to corrupt her until she's full of the darkness just like tenebras" she was crying now "he didn't love her... he didn't love her when she was born he just wanted an offspring to spread the darkness...*sniffle*... A child to use"

I was angry now and all I wanted to do was charge in there and assault her but I held back till I heard it all.

"That was until one day when he was alone with her and her eyes shone the exact same colour as his" she smiled now "that day he fell in love with her and wanted nothing more than for her to live a happy life"

My anger melted a little bit when I heard this.

He wanted me to be happy.

She sniffled again "but it was too late.The queen had already found out that he had a bastard and wasn't ready to listen to excuses she just wanted the baby Dead" she looked at David "so the king did all he could to get her of tenebras. He was in such a hurry to save his child that he couldn't remove the mark in time he had only succeeded in removing half of the dark power it possesses"

David finally said something "so that means jewel is half evil and her evil side could take over anytime now"

"Yes if her feelings were intense enough" she sniffled "he ruined her life... He made her like this... He made her miserable"

I couldn't take it anymore I was angry at Hailey for not telling me this... I was angry at my dad for making me into this... I was angry at tenebras... I was angry at everything and at this point I couldn't hold it back all I could see was black.

I barged in there and they were all shocked and then a dark matter shot out of me and held Hailey by the throat and choked her.

She was fighting for her breath and D.F ran to me but I flicked her away with another one of those dark matters.

All I wanted was to exact my anger and revenge on someone and that someone just so happened to be Hailey.

She was turning blue and we had now gathered quite a crowd all of them gasping at what I was doing.

The royal guards tried to stop me but I threw them all away with one flick of the dark energy.

Everyone was scared now and they all kept away from me.

Except David... He walked slowly towards me.

"Jewel" he said cautiously "jewel can you hear me" he took another step closer.

"Don't come closer I don't want to hurt you" the words were coming out of my mouth but the voice didn't sound like my own.

"Yes jewel you don't wanna hurt me" he stepped closer "you also don't wanna hurt her or anyone else for that matter"

Cally and rebby had resurfaced now and were watching the scene in horror.

"David I'm warning you just leave me alone" the words came out again with the same voice which wasn't mine.

"Jewel please don't do this" he stepped closer again and put his hand on my shoulder "this is not you... The real you doesn't want to do this"

"You don't understand... I can't stop it." The voice sounded more like mine again "the thing is inside me like it has always been and I can feel it growing I can't control it David"

"Yes you can jewel... you can" he still had his hands on me "you know why? Because you are strong. You are the strongest person I have ever met so you have the power to fight this. So fight it"

Looking at him and at the face of everyone around me and then at Hailey who was fighting for her breath I pushed the darkness aside and let Hailey go.

She jerked and tried to regain her breath as the girls ran to her.

I looked around and everyone was terrified.

I had broken D.F's arm and the guards were barely moving.

I gasped when I saw what I had done and I turned and ran.

I heard David shout my name as I ran but I did not look back.

I knew what I had to do and I won't let anything stop me from doing it.

As I ran, all the memories from the stone started coming back to me.

I remembered everything and how the queen had mercilessly killed my parents after they sent me to Earth.

And I knew right then that I had to go to tenebras.

I went to the hangar and took a ship.

I don't care how dangerous it is but I have to avenge my parents death.

I have to do this.

The dark was taking over again and I had to fight to keep it away because I knew that if I let it take control again I may never come back from it and I won't ever be the jewel I once was.

Epic chapter right.

I actually spent quite a while planning it with my friend @jewelbay yeah well if you haven't figured it out already I the character jewel is based on her.

The character Cally is actually based on me and the others are based on the rest of my friends.

Yup the secret is out.
