Chapter 07

Looking out the window, Tatsuo was enjoying the beautiful moonlit garden, when he heard a knock at the door and said:

"can enter..."

"Excuse me, sir. " said Satoru as he entered.

"And then? where is she?" Tatsuo asked sharply.

"We haven't found her yet, but our men are following the trail left by her."

"Whew!" Tatsuo sighed in annoyance. "Very well..." he paused briefly, smiled pretentiously and continued. "But maybe it's for the best. Considering, she could lead us to this partner."

Walking slowly down the busy street, feeling completely exhausted after escaping the mansion, with her injured foot throbbing, and no money to get back. Naomi stopped near a dark alley, and there she decided to go in and sit on some wooden crates.

Leaning against the wall, she sighed wearily, and even there, in that place, she felt safe.

"Strange... even out here, I feel safe." Naomi said, looking up at the sky.

With her body relaxed, Naomi began to feel sleepy, and gradually her eyes grew heavy, and there she soon fell asleep.

At dawn, Naomi woke up and realized where she had spent the night and that she was not far from home.

"Ha! I must still have a little luck left. But I'm still a little far from home." Naomi said a little wistfully. "But what if they are waiting for me at my house?"

The threat was even greater, as her house would be the first place the thugs would look for her. But in any case, she would have to take a chance, get some money, a cell phone and a backpack with clothes.

On the way back, Naomi felt even more apprehensive. She looked around her, in every instant. And stopping beside a parked car on the street corner of her house, she surveyed her surroundings.

And realizing that there was no car parked in front of her house and no people around, she left as quickly as possible.

" Nice! There's no one around." Naomi said relieved.

She went up the stairs and when she reached the door, she lifted the carpet and there was a spare key, she opened the door and found a black envelope, falling on the floor inside the apartment.

"Hã? What is that?" Naomi asked suspiciously.

She picked it up off the floor and closed the door. And seeing the sender with the initials "DF", which was the same as her partner, she opened it, there was a flash drive along with a note. Naomi quickly opened the note, which contained a phone number.

"That miserable bastard. Whew…" Naomi sighed. "Get me into this mess and get lost. What a good friend you are…"

With flash drive in hand, curiosity seduced her. She turned on her PC and plugged it into the USB port, and after loading all the files, what she saw was surprising.

"What is this? I can't believe it… That's what that man Tatsuo said was stolen."

Naomi that left her amazed and scared, she didn't know what to do. Should they find out she had that flash drive, even though she had said so many times she didn't have it and was still running away. She would be misunderstood.

"I-I will die... they will kill me for sure, there won't even be time to explain..." She paused and thought, "Maybe deleting all the contents is the best thing to do, but let's see what DF tells me first. Hmm..." made Naomi think, "Maybe I can even deliver it along with this flash drive."
