Beep, beep, beep That's all I could hear. It was getting louder. I was so exhausted at first that I could ignore it but now it was impossible. "Ughhhhhhh." I screamed out loud. Who thought it was a brilliant idea to put an alarm in here. After trying to ignore it for so long, I finally sat up. I grabbed the alarm and teleported out.
"with the low tier Gods." Luther was saying to someone in the room. I didn't care that he was in a meeting. He would fix this problem. Whoever put this alarm in my room should be punished. He looked up at me and than down the the alarm clock in my hand that was still going off. "What is that?" Luther asked.
"It's what someone thought would be funny to put in the room while I was sleep." I said sarcastically. I was not in a good mood. I was still sleepy when it woke me up. "Why did you bring it in here?" Luther asked annoyance in his tone. "Because I need you to fix this problem." I demanded.
"Did you just wake up?" Luther asked as he looked me over. I rolled my eyes at the obvious question. "Obviously. I mean I was sleep before someone thought it would be a good joke to put this in our room." I said wryly. I heard an all to familiar laugh coming from one of the chairs. My control was on the verge of slipping. "Did you put this in my room Lucas?" I asked as I rounded the table to look at him.
I froze. Not because Lucas was laughing like he had lost his mind at my dispense but because of who's sitting next to him. "I want you to meet Christopher he's going to be staying here for awhile while we work on a few projects together." Luther stated sending me further into the abyss. Staying here? I can't move or think. This can't be happening. I need to get my bearings intact. It's fine I tell myself as I look up at him.
My ears are ringing though and the calm inside is gone but it's fine. When he smiles that's when I can't lie it's not fine. I take a step back without thinking. He still looks the same With his blond hair and green eyes. What Is he doing here? I need alcohol it's one thing to see him at a club but in my house.
He stretches his hand out to me, I look down at it. I can't touch him. "Mazaya." Luther yells but I'm not really here right now I'm lost. I did everything perfect and he's here. "I ugh." I can't get a full sentence out. The tears are building up. I need help. I'm actually losing control. I can feel it. I want to cry. Hold him and I can't get my mind to stop.
I look down at my tingling hands that are now a shinny gold. I need to calm myself down. How many seconds have went by one maybe two. Maybe a few minutes or a few hours I can't tell. "I ummm." Still nothing. I look up and he raises an eyebrow and smiles. A beautiful smile. I cant take it so I collapse on the floor and put my head to my knees. Luther is grabbing me fast.
"Baby are you okay." He says soothingly. He holds me for a few seconds and I finally relax alittle. He rocks me for awhile. Finally I'm able to speak. "I'm sorry. The alarm clock made my emotions unstable and Lucas laughing made me lose it." The lie's leaving my lips like it's the easiest thing to do. "The alarm clock? Are you fine now." he asks.
"Yea I am just going to go to bed." I say finding a way to escape before I lose it again. "I don't feel comfortable with you being alone right now. You can lay on my chest, we won't be too loud, you'll be able to relax. This is non negotiable." Luther says as he picks me up and sits down in his chair at his desk.
I can do this I tell myself it's fine. I close my eyes. Out of sight out of mind. "So I was thinking we could tell them I seen the future and there will be a war and most low tier Gods will die." Christopher said with his smooth voice. "That actually might work. This is why I'm glad you'll be staying with us until this problem is solved." Luther says with appreciate in his voice. The tingling starts back up.
"You know it could take atleast 7 months. Not Mortal months. I don't want you backing down last minute. This is important that's why I'll be staying here to." Lucas says to Christopher. This can't be happening. I did everything right. "We made an oath I'm in it to win it." Christopher says with complete confidence, while my confidence has left the building. Along with my sanity and control.
