2 I Can't Think of a Chapter Title :)

710 B.C - Asgard: Asera's Room

Asera sat in her room, reading a book on Asgardian Magic. She knew that her fake mother could teach her, but she would rather have stunted growth than spend more time than required with that woman.

Then, the white haired girl heard a knock on her door, and Frigga call her name.

"Asera! Could I come in? We need to talk." Frigga called from the otherside of the door. Asera heard the tone in her voice, making it sound more like an order than a request.

Asera, being something of a rebel when it came to disobeying Frigga, simply stayed silent, hoping she would leave on her own.

Frigga, on the other side of the door, simply shook her head before forcefully opening the door.

Asera watched, commenting on Frigga. "Wow, a fake queen breaking into the princess' room. I suppose it makes sense."

Frigga ignored her daughter's comment, looking to the book in her hand. "You know Asera, I could teach you magic. After all, I was raised by witches."

Asera shook her head and began speaking, venom lacing her voice, "Frigga, not to be rude, but I would rather not learn magic at all if it meant learning it from you."

Frigga smiled sadly, already knowing that an answer such as that had been in store for her when offering. Then, the mother sat on the edge of the bed, getting a scowl from her daughter.

"Asera, I know you don't like me, after all, you make it obvious in most of our interactions." Frigga stated, getting a nod from her daughter as if to say 'True.' "But please daughter, can we get along, our relationship stresses my husband quite a bit already, and with war on the horizon, I don't think he needs it."

Asera looked at Frigga, unreadable expression on her face. The girl noticed how she said ' My Husband' instead of 'Odin' or something similar. She didn't know if it was intentional or not, but it still angered her when she was reminded Odin had just replaced her mother on a whim.

Then, she thought to if this could benefit her in any way. After all, it wasn't often you got the chance to extort a fake queen.

"Alright Frigga, we can be civil on two conditions. For starters, I want all of your private books on magic that you own. Secondly, I want to know what enchantments are on my ring."

Asera made the first condition because she really wanted to learn magic, but the best books on the subject were owned by Frigga. The second condition was because ever since she started learning magic, she had been able to feel the faint glow of magic coming off the ring, and she hasn't been able to figure out what is was yet.

Frigga shook her head. "Asera, I would happily give you my books on magic, but Odin has forbidden me from seeing the enchantments on your ring."

Asera scowled at the woman, " Well then, Fake Queen, I suppose we can't be civil."

Frigga sighed, standing up going to get the books. After all, she may have not been able to tell her what the ring was about, but she was still kind enough to give her daughter the books she wanted.

710 B.C - Asgard: Asera's Room

Asera stood over a table, a book on enchanting that Frigga had given her by her side. She was trying to figure out the enchantments on her ring since Frigga nor Odin would tell her.

She had already figured out one of the enchantments on the ring, although she had assumed this one was on the ring already. The enchantment was a simple one, it only told the caster when the item was taken off the wearer.

Asera let out a sigh, sad that her assumption was correct. After all, she couldn't take off the ring and without her father knowing and she was nearly 100% sure that there were runes on the inside of the ring.

710 B.C - Asgard: Royal Bed Chambers

"Odin, she's trying to find out what your ring does to her. She's a smart girl Odin, when she finds out she's going to be very, very angry." Frigga yelled to her husband. "I understand you wish to protect her and Asgard, but when she finds out, she will be angry at both you and Asgard."

"I understand your concerns Frigga, but I will know when she finds a way to understand what the ring does. There is no way she can take down my enchantments without me knowing. And, if she just takes off the ring, my magic reserves will continue feeding the ring and powering it. So, as long as it's in the same room as her, it will continue to block her power."

Frigga sighed, her husband not listening to reason. She had faith in her daughter's abilities, so of course she knew that she would be able to figure out what the ring was for. Sadly, she also knew she couldn't try and fix what would most likely end up as her husband's biggest mistake. More so, without his permission.

709 B.C - Asgard: Royal Training Grounds

Asera was currently fighting her trainer with a spear. She had put off figuring out what the ring did until she had a far better understanding of magic. After all, the runes were far to complex for a novice like her.

The girl parried a strike from her tutor and jumped back. She rushed forth, parrying her teachers strike and stabbing his Achille's tendon.

(A/N : Is it still technically an Achilles' tendon if he hasn't been born yet?)

She kicked her tutor in the back, forcing him onto the ground and held her spear at his neck.

"It's my win Master." Asera said, smile on her face. She had been training with the man for about 9 months, and she hadn't won a single time just yet.

With a pained smile on his face, probably from being stabbed, he said. "Well done Asera, but don't think this spells the end of your training."

Asera smiled and let the man stand up. Then, even with a shredded heel, the two began to fight once more. Only for Asera to lose this time.
