The God of Machines

Luckily, everyone is descended from a deity, but unfortunately, their power wanes with each generation, until the modern day, where the young generations cannot hope to become powerful. Lua Moonsilver is one of these younger generations. He is a Tinkerer descended from the God of Machines, and is very weak compared to his ancestors. He was destined to live out his days making toys. By unknown circumstances, Lua encounters a gem in a forest, that gets him into contact with one of these ancient Gods. He learns about the secret of evolution, granting him the priceless knowledge to become stronger.

Theta

In a deep underground facility, a boy with black hair was fiddling with a sword that was around half his size. This boy was younger than Lua, but not by much. He was still a teenager, and looked like he had been one for some time.

His face, however, was the one of a grown man. He had scars all over, and deep purple eyes that seemed to have no end. He was tired.

The brick walls around him were cold, providing no warmth for his dying spirit. And on warmth, he had not seen sunlight in weeks now. He was a ruthless killer who operated at night, being able to see sunlight only if his masters permitted it.

He looked to the burning torch across from him. It burned on and on, but he knew it would eventually die off. Like most things.

"Back to work, Theta!" A fat man with a bald head yelled down the corridor, seeing Theta sit down. Theta complied, making no noise. He got up and headed to the training ring.
