The God of Machines

Centuries prior, the Gods blessed this world with their magical powers, granting their abilities to everyone born from their lineage. Luckily, everyone is descended from a deity, but unfortunately, their power wanes with each generation, until the modern day, where the young generations cannot hope to become powerful. Lua Moonsilver is one of these younger generations. He is a Tinkerer descended from the God of Machines, and is very weak compared to his ancestors. He was destined to live out his days making toys. Lua took a few rather long moments to process what Oliver was saying. "You intended for me to go there? I nearly died!"

Lua was absolutely dumbfounded. In the manner of a few seconds, he had gone from fear, to some trust, and back to fear once more. The man he had known as his brother was a terrifying manipulator, much unlike what he had come to know in the many years he spent with him. If they didn't bear the same name, Lua would be hesitant to believe this man was his brother.

"And yet you did not. What is the problem?" Oliver replied dismissively.

He's acting even colder than last time... Did something happen to him? Lua wondered internally, trying his best to not let his emotions show on his face.

"Back on topic. Your tactics were... interesting to say the least. It would have been successful had you been stronger." Oliver moved on, completely ignoring his brother's valid reasons for distress.
