Wait A Second

Author Note: So I tried my best with this chapter's fight scene but dear lord it was hard. Making a 8 V 3 was so tiring since I had to make everyone doing something or else they would be forgotten. (Ngl I forgot the boy Shino existed for a bit.)

Releasing itself from Asuma's mouth a deadly stream of wind mixed dust shot out in a wide spray in front of him. The dust accompanied by the wind itself ripped through the grass and shrubbery along with even the trees. While behind Asuma everyone on Team 10 and 8 was safe, Seiki, Fuyumi, and Ren were not so fortunate.

Watching as a large spread of compressed wind dust raised towards them devouring everything it touched Seiki suddenly yelled. "Ren, Fuyumi hurry up and use Bakudo!" Looking between the cloud of dust and them Ren replied. "There's no way we can do it in ti-" He was suddenly interrupted by Seiki yelling again while dashing ahead of them both.

"No talking, just casting!" Not knowing what Seiki was up to, both he and Fuyumi stood there for a moment before they quickly made their way towards each other while gathering Reiryoku in both of their hands. Together the two of them began combining their abilities and began creating an outline of a pyramid in front of them.

On the other hand, Seiki who had rushed forward gripped his Zanpakuto with both of his hands as his Reiatsu began to gush out of both him and his sword. "Asukatto!" Moving at a top speed Seiki raised his Zanpakuto above his head. Then placing all his strength he slammed it down at the ground increasing its weight as he did.

In response as soon as his sword's blade hit the ground the entire area shook as the built-up Reiatsu flowed into the earth. Traveling forward rocks began being pulled up from the ground in a splitting passion ultimately stopping the dust storm for a moment. However, despite the rocks stopping the storm they were slowly cracking and crumbling away.

"Uh, guys not trying to rush you but this wind is going to shred us apart!" Hearing Seiki both Fuyumi and Ren finally finished the pyramid outline connecting both their sides at the top. "Alright, it's done come on Seiki." Calling Seiki over, Fuyumi placed both of her hands out in front of her with Ren doing the same.

Hearing the Bakudo was done, Seiki quickly turned around and dashed towards them just as the wind burst through the rock's he had broken from the ground. Getting behind the pyramid outline the Seiki heard the two of them speak at the same time. "Bakudo #14: Shaindifensu!" Quickly a barrier formed between the four parts of the pyramid creating a shield in front of the three of them.

As the dust wind hit their shield held out as everything to the left, right, and above them disappeared into a gray wind. "They're really trying to kill us and Rei is still busy." Usually being in close proximity to Rei the three of them never had to worry about being sneak attacked but now they had gone to train at a distance where Rei couldn't sense them train in secret.

Hearing Seiki, Fuyumi suddenly said something while smiling. "Maybe this is a good chance to test ourselves. We can bring them to Rei of course after we capture them." Hearing her both Ren and Seiki thought about it for a moment. "That sounds extremely dangerous and irresponsible and we definitely shouldn't just try to reach Rei." That was what Ren said out loud but both and Seiki were smirking at the idea.

On the other side, Asuma had finally ended his Jutsu as the amount of wind coming from his mouth decreased. Sweat was dripping down his face and Ino looked over at him with a worried expression. "Asuma Sensei are you ok?" In response, Asuma nodded his head. "Ya I'm fine I just used a little too much Chakra keeping that Jutsu going as long as I did."

Kiba who was off to the side agreed he used way too much Chakra but on the upside the results made their situation improve. A large amount of the forest had been cleared away simply leaving a large open plain in its wake. As the dust began to settle and clear out, each side finally able to see their 'attacker'.

Lowering their shield Fuyumi, Ren and Seiki stared at Team 10 and 8. "Hinata can you use your Byakugan?" Kiba looked over at Hinata while asking but was surprised to see she already had it activated. "I've been trying for a while now but they're just like the wall I can't see inside their bodies at all. But it looks like their… Children?"

Hearing Hinata all of them looked in the distance and even from afar they were no doubt children. "Are they really the ones who attacked us?" Shikamaru looked unsure however he suddenly saw one of them who looked like a girl with whitish-blue hair raise her sword into the air.

Bubbling from her blade, a burst of water rose from the blade high up into the air forming a floating water sphere. "What are they doing?" Looking from afar everyone was on guard but also confused. Within seconds the ball of water had reached a size of over ten times bigger than Fuyumi herself.

"Go!" Pointing her the tip of her Zanpakuto at the group immediately the water sphere began to morph and bubble. "Scatter!" Kurenai yelled at everyone after watching the way the water sphere acted. Following her orders, everyone scattered as she said, and rightly so. Soon the water reached its maximum build-up point as over thirty different rope-like appendages shot from the sphere of water.

Immediately each tendril chased after one of them individually at an incredible speed. Having one chase after her first Kurenai watched as it followed her precisely. Each one made no mistakes when it came to turning following them like sheep. "Since when could you do that?" Ren looked at Fuyumi and then at the sphere of water above them.

Smiling Fuyumi responded while still keeping focus. "Well... It was supposed to be our trump card when we rematched Big Brother Rei but it took a lot of time to gather this much water. Especially since we don't have any lakes nearby." Hearing her Ren shook his head as he replied. "Ya but I don't think just water would be enough to stop him let alone immobilize him."

As they spoke Hinata who was the last to react to the sudden attack had three of the tendrils chasing her and actually catching up. "At this rate, I'm going to be caught…" Taking a breath, Hinata activated her Byakugan and turned around mid-run. Pulling back her palm she locked onto space between three tendrils before speaking. "Eight Trigrams Air Palm!"

Launching her palm forward Hinata struck the air in front of her, releasing a vacuum of air. Hitting all three tendrils at once they exploded with a burst of water. "I got them!" Seeing them become droplets of water Hinata showed a relieved face however from afar Fuyumi looked over at Ren. "It's not meant to immobilize people because I can do this."

Before Hinata could take a moment to breathe all the droplets of water formed dozen of even smaller tendrils which immediately charged at her. Being caught off guard Hinata tried to use her Rotation but it was too late. Just as the water touched her body Fuyumi aimed her palm at the ball of water above her. "Hado #4: Byakurai!"

Firing a stream of lightning at the ball the water immediately became electrified which then traveled through each of the tendrils including Hinata's. And with the water touching her body she was immediately shocked as the Hado spell coursed through her body. "Aaaah!" Hearing Hinata's scream, Ino who was nearby looked and saw her collapse to the ground.

"They got Hinata! We have to deal with the caster of the Jutsu we can't keep running!" Making a U-turn Ino dashed towards the three of them focusing on Fuyumi first and foremost. Spotting Ino Seiki was the first one of the three to attack. Charging at her, he placed his Zanpakuto behind while building up for an attack.

However just as he was getting in range Seiki and Ino's eyes met and in effect caused Seiki to freeze suddenly. 'Ninja Art: Mind Delay Jutsu!' Having her Jutsu freeze Seiki before he could launch his attack, Ino pivoted on her right leg while pouring chakra into her left. Snapping out of his sudden delay Seiki turned his attack into defense showing the broad side of his Zanpakuto to Ino.

Kicking with full force Seiki felt his body shake slightly as he was pushed back leaving a trail on the ground. Temporarily dealing with Seiki, Ino continued to pull two kunai from her back pouch and throw them at Ren and Fuyumi. Seeing this, Seiki called out and warned them. "Ren, Fuyumi move!"

Looking over the two of them saw the explosive kunai flying directly towards them and quickly backed away. Fuyumi called off her Zanpakuto's ability as the tendril's all stopped and the water began to retract back into her blade. On the other hand, everyone else who heard Ino began to move as well.

"Shino!" Calling out to Shino who had been remaining relatively passive he nodded when he heard Kurenai. Suddenly hordes of insects began flying out from his clothes before flying towards Fuyumi and Ren while Seiki continued to fight Ino. "Ren Bugs!" Feeling slightly revolted, Fuyumi backed away, glancing at Ren so he could take over.

"Seriously…" Looking at Fuyumi Ren couldn't believe she was leaving the bugs up to him. It's not like he wasn't revolted by them either. "Surround and destroy, multiply and encompass, make my enemies fall and shower them in your radiant light." Chanting an incantation for a brief moment Ren finished the Hado spell. "Hado #15: Hokatsu Firudo!"

Surrounding the insect horde one orb of yellow light appeared which quickly multiplied into dozens and eventually hundreds. "Dammit…" Seeing his insect horde surrounded Shino pulled back however his insects were too slow. Closing in on the horde all at once a massive chain reaction of explosions occurred blowing them and the area around them away. A wave of dust flew across the area as the ground shook.

Feeling the ground shake below their feet both side's realized the fight was reaching a dangerous level. As Fuyumi had backed away she spotted both Kiba and Choji moving together both targeting her. "Let's go Akamaru, she's the one that used that ability earlier!" Akamaru who was running by Kiba's side disappeared in a puff of smoke before dashing out as a clone of Kiba.

"What?" Looking at the two Kiba's she heard Kiba yell. "Man-Beast Taijutsu: Fang Over Fang!" Both Kiba and Akamaru jumped into the air and began spinning creating what looked like drills. Meanwhile, Choji who was on the ground beneath Kiba used the expansion of Jutsu making himself three times as large. "Human Boulder!"

Curling into a ball Choji began to spin exponentially driving directly towards Fuyumi behind Kiba and Akamaru. Seeing this Fuyumi looked left and right. 'We're all too far away from each other to cover one another. Eight versus Three is unfair!' Having to face the two of them alone, Fuyumi was forced to use her Zanapakuto's ability as she made a large amount of water erupt from her blade.

On the other hand, Seiki was trying to get used to Ino being able to delay his thoughts and attacks while also dealing with her Chakra infused ones. 'That ability is a straight counter to me. I can't look her in the eyes for even a second.' With Fuyumi and Seiki both having their hands full it was Ren who was left to deal with Kurenai and Asuma with Shino acting as support for both of them using his insects.

"Asuma me and Shino will trap him and use that as your opening." Despite the fact they were children they were clearly stronger than Genins. They couldn't hold back or else it could mean death or so they thought not knowing Fuyumi, Seiki and Ren were just trying to capture them. Nodding Asuma brought out his Chakra knives and began infusing them with wind chakra as he closed in on Ren.

Supporting Asuma, Shino had a swarm of insects blocking Ren's escape routes leaving only Kurenai as the person to retreat towards. 'I won't have time to activate my Shikai. What do I do.' Feeling cornered Ren was going to attempt facing Asuma head-on but just as he prepared to draw his Zanpakuto he heard someone's voice.

"Ninja Art: Shadow Possession Jutsu!" Getting behind each of them due to them being distracted, Shikamaru managed to get in the perfect location to use his Shadow Possession. Not knowing what Shadow Possession was all three of them could tell it was bad that one of the ninjas had gotten behind all three of them.

'We won't make it in time.'

Just as everyone was preparing their attacks and about to attack their individual target's a voice echoed across the entire field. "Bakudo #44: Togoku Kyu." Without warning, blue spheres made entirely of Reiryoku began appearing around everyone including Fuyumi, Seiki, and Ren. Everyone's attacks were forcefully stopped due to the weird gravity in the spheres.

Both Kiba and Akamaru along with Choji had to stop their spinning motion as the sphere instantly restricted them. "What the hell is this?" Banging on the sphere's Kiba looked around confused and saw everyone there was trapped. "It's not a Genjutsu so there must be a caster nearby." Looking around Kurenai tried to find the source of the voice.

"I think we've all have enough fighting for one day especially considering the state of this place."

Appearing out seemingly nowhere, Rei's appearance caused Fuyumi, Ren, and Seiki to go silent looking as if they had just got caught doing something. On the other hand, everyone from team 10 simply stared at Rei in a state of disbelief. "Rei?" Hearing one of them say his name Rei looked over at the sphere holding Ino and after a couple of seconds tilted his head to the side.

"Wait a second."
