Meeting Old Man Frederick (1)

Inside at the Base.

Old Man Frederick was resting on a wooden chair at the furthest side of the base. He was facing the door, which it concealed inside the Base, with a curtain made with leaves. He also faced the big table which determined all the locations of the alarm trap made by a web of Beast.

He looked to Alex whose focus lingered on the table watching every web's movement if something snapped and he would immediately report it to hunters and give them the direction where it was.

Alex was very diligent at work, causing Old man Frederick to sigh with relief as well as bitterness, and couldn't help but reminisce about the problem that the human settlement faced.

'Almost 10 percent of the people in the human settlement had lost the desire to live already. I wonder if I didn't lead the human settlement to what it is today and died after that heavy fall, would the settlement even exist?' He shook his head.
