Lance's excitement for the boss faded a little when he remembered what happened with the basilisk. His greed not only got him hurt but put his friends in danger, and upset them enough to yell at him. One thing he didn't want to do again was get his friends mad at him.

The cave they are currently in was a dead end and the bodies of dead wolves riddled the ground. With nowhere left to go, Lance walked back the way they came, with Vixen floating slowly beside him.

As the pair headed to the other end of the cave, Lance had a thought. He remembered that the serums he drank, one of the genes he could unlock could phase through objects. It had intrigued him and he had plenty of ideas on how to utilize that during combat.

Lance quickly opened up the Void Gene window and went into the skills tab.
