Ju's Conspiracies in Thomas's Case

The police officer began laughing at Ju's question. Ju felt strange about that.

"I told you a Joke"? She said irritatingly.

"I'm so sorry, mam, but I got out of control. Actually, there's a funny story behind the answer to this question". The police officer said while challengingly controlling his laugh.

"Mam, Thomas was in jail. He lied that he didn't know anybody in this world and requested the court to offer him a lawyer. Even some people tried to help him, but not a single lawyer agreed to take his case. He is a completely doubtful piece. So why anybody got him into trouble"?

Ju was also expecting such a scenario, but she wondered how only one lawyer would fight the case. If there wouldn't be any opponent, then how could an argument occur?

She became more surprised when the police officer told him that Thomas had not lost hope even then. He requested the court to allow him to fight his case on his own. Surprisingly, the court allowed him. It was the first time in China's history that a criminal would fight his case on his own.

So, the court's investigation began. But, first, Ju's lawyer stood up and went near the Judge to present his point.

"My Lord, Thomas Hardy, has been caught for performing various illegal activities. He secretly bought expensive machines with fake bank accounts to not be in a record and to avoid tax. You can check his lab, where various secret machines are present. Not any scientist can begin any scientific project without approval then how could he".

Now it was Thomas's turn. His frozen body was shattering his confidence. He was constantly rubbing his hands to eliminate his fear. So, finally, he dared to speak.

"Sir, this lawyer is telling a lie. I haven't done anything like that. I'm an innocent citizen living alone in a small house after my parent's death".

Everyone in the court was making fun of Thomas. He didn't even know how to talk in court. Instead of talking based on proof and witnesses, he was getting emotional. However, he didn't know that it was a court. There, his acting wouldn't work.

The Judge even asked Thomas to sensibly fight his case. Otherwise, he would be directly punished, considering his opponent's claim true.

Thomas felt so embarrassed about that. He thought he should follow the other lawyer and try to fight like him. So, he confidently resumed speaking.

"My Lord, Mam Ju, on 21st September 2021, signed a contract with me. She asked me to make a time machine to return to the future and help her in her plan of attacking the whole world. Moreover, she was involved in the Prime Minister's case".

Thomas's words surprised everyone except Ju, who was satisfied because of her plan. Thomas made a big mistake. He put a big allegation on Ju without any proof. Moreover, he said everything at once. If he made only one allegation, it might be considered true.

The Judge was also surprised not because of what Thomas said but on his madness. However, he didn't know why but he had sympathy for Thomas. So, he politely warned him to be present-minded while saying anything.

"Mr. Thomas, try to activate your thinking powers. You're overreacting. You know you could be sent to jail for giving me the wrong information. You're accusing our previous Prime Minister's wife. And what you say, you came from the future. Then, where's your time machine? We have never heard anything like that ever''.

Thomas was already so confused about handling the situation. He was becoming uncontrolled and getting out everything from his tongue. That was making his case critical for himself.

He thought he would present a written contract later and preferred to be quiet for a while and allow another lawyer to say something so he could respond accordingly. So, another lawyer continued.

"Sir, Thomas is doing nothing except wasting the precious time of our respectable court. Let me show you some pieces of evidence and proof, so you could conclude the case on that basis".

Then, the lawyer brought the USB from the packed envelope and handed that over to the Judge.

"Sir, it's a recording in which the criminal is confessing his crime on his own. Please check it and also show this to everyone here to expose this fraud man's secret".

Thomas became so worried about that. He thought he had never committed his crime. Even he didn't say any single word related to that in front of anyone, especially the police.

"How can Ju do this! Is there any fake recording of my voice? I haven't ever heard of any gadget who can do this, even being a future scientist, then how could she perform such impossible work".

Thomas thought when suddenly he heard the voice that was shown to everyone in the court.

Ju's voice

"Mr. Thomas, I have caught you doing some illegal activities. Being a Prime Minister's wife, I think it's my right to ask you about that."

Thomas's voice

"Yes, I was doing illegal work in this country for a long time. No one can beat me in the cheapness".

Ju's Voice

But why did you do all that?

Thomas's voice

"Hurting yourself is a crime. My heart burns too much for anything I love. So, it's my right to forcefully get it, just to eliminate my pain."

Ju's Voice

Why do you deceive the scientists you hired? You told them that you're doing everything legally.

Thomas's voice

"I hired five scientists for that. I worked illegally in my secret lab so no one can notice that and cause the problem later".

The Judge was surprised to hear that. Mostly, the criminals didn't discuss their plans on call and messages because that could be found using advanced technology. Not in his career ever, he had heard any recording that was clearly proving the accused as a criminal.
