Cutting through life

Over a dozen rixis had died fighting the undead, and to make sure they didn't have to join their numbers, they would use the sap found from an Avantay tree that was flammable and would cover themselves in it. This was stored on a small animal skin pouch they had tied to their waist and would set themselves on fire and charge at the enemy.

The undead hated fire and the rixis only did this if they were heavily wounded or infected so they could hold back the undead. They would die with honour wreathed in flames burning the dreadful blight of undead.

They also used a larger mud jug full of the sap to spread on the floor and used nearby fire pits to light them up. This tactic was thought up by Valel when thinking of the tactics Cracked claw used against the hounds.

Now, to the main event, the undead leader had just ripped out the eye of a nearby rixis while crushing the neck of another below. Dark magic flowed around and in its corpse as it seemed to lash out at those that came to close.

A soldier ran towards the cloaked menace and thrust her spear at its head, but the undead twisted its body and kicked her in the ribs, and her body flew to the side.

It's hand waved, and a blast of decaying magic blasted into her back, eating away the flesh and exposing her spine. This didn't stop the other as a large red rixis slammed its fist into the ribcage of the but only a slight rattle of the bones happened.

The undead leader grabbed the rixis head, who tried to get away and struggled, but soon the undead clawed fingers gouged out the rixis eyes. That wouldn't kill the rixis, but his neck being snapped would, and another soldier went down.

Luckily, the cloaked undead could take 3 steps before a group of sword and shield welding rixis surrounded the leader and attacked.

This was the first force that slowed it down, so a clash occurred, and with the good teamwork of the soldiers, they coordinated their attacks.

This couldn't last forever so soon after a sliced throat, a crushed skull, and 2 pierced hearts the cloaked undead moved on.

But this was what Valel wanted as now she could see the undead had less dark magic around it and had even slowed down slightly.

Now, in its way, stood the 3 blessed of Nyx,Renka, and Themis, who all were s level higher than the best jackrixis.

Nyxs blessed had:Mob Mentality gives a boost to strength and defence by 10% and lasts for one week.

Rage on earth:as long as the person is touching the ground, they get a 10% boost to strength and defence for 1 day

Themis Blessed had: Eyes of Order that allows the person to detect if anyone is trying to disturb the balance or cause trouble and last for 1 week

Judges truth:Allows them to tell when someone is lying or telling the truth.

for 1 month

Renkas Blessed had: Harmony allows a person to be at complete peace with themselves and gives an overall 5% boost to the person and lasts 1 week

Emotional support:makes a person more intune with those around them, making those people trust them more for 5 days

Now, even though Themis blessed didn't seem as useful for a one on one fight, a blessed still got a basic strength boost.

Obviously, the first one to start the fight was Nyxs blessed, who charged forward and attacked with his sword with his followers next to him.

The other 2 blessed one female, the other male would stay back and wait for the opportune moment to attack.

For the first time in the battle, the cloaked decaying leader was actually losing ground, but Valel could tell it was still waiting for something.

She ordered he guards to go and help the blessed and help protect them, but they didn't know she expected them to take the lethal magical shots.

She grabbed her knives just in case anything popped up behind her and needed a watch the battle. She also continues to coordinate her forces.

He prediction was proven when, at the right moment, the cloaked undead realised a wave of decaying magic at the blessed.

2 we're protected by soldiers who stood in front of them sacrificing themselves, but Nyxs blessed who let none stand in his way took the brunt of the attack.

Valels guards gave the blessed time to recover but was soon killed, and as the undead leader went to kill Nyx's blessed. Valel stepped in but couldn't match the undead skills in battle, which then turned into her being the first of the blessed the cloaked leader would kill.

As the clawed hand reached for her head, a shadow covered her face as from above Peneb jumped from the barricades and tackled the undead leader, his knife in his mouth, he twisted his head to the point his muscles almost snapped and jammed the knife in the undead leaders head.

A screech like a ghostly rat echoed from its entire body, and it scratched at Penebs cheste, who, while getting through the pain, poured his pouch of Avantay sap onto the leader and then took out a small seed.

This was a simple concoction to what Cracked claw had, so it seemed valel wasn't the only one who learned from him. The seed was crushed and went mixed with the sap it set alight even stronger and faster because of the chemicals the seed contained.

All peneb could see after he hid in the shadows of the barcidae away from everyone else, even the undead was its leader, who he didn't take his eyes off of until he waited for the right time and attacked. Now all he could see,hear, and feel was fire as the undead leader threw him off his body and tried to get its magic to eat the flames.

It failed, however, and soon a crack was heard across the battfield, and the body of the undead and its legion began to turn to white dust. Peneb could only see a second of this before he passed out from the pain the voices of the blessed shouting for aid.

Another war was over this time with the undead, and many more was to come as the army of Jackrixis helped their brothers and sister up from the white dusted ground. The holy army quickly went about helping the wounded while giving mercy to those infected.

Back in Jack's space, everyone was happy they had won, but it didn't seem like it after what they had watched.
