Chapter 28

By the time morning arose the next day, I sat back in my chair in my living room and questioned what else I should do.

I still have months until Tony Stark escapes, a while until I reach Tier-7, and I still had to wait until I got enough points for the next game I was planning on doing.

I had no idea what I could do to ease my boredom...

Wait...I just got an idea that not only would help the world greatly in the future but also it would ease my boredom and it would also give me a new source of points from my games!

But first, I needed to start preparing if I wished to pursue this idea!

Good thing I had a large amount of money and magic at my side!

A week later I found myself deep within a slum in the Middle East following a trail leading me to my goal.

This was a Divination Spell called 'Clairvoyance' and its purpose was to lead me to what I sought.

This particular spell had many paths that I could follow that led across the world, but I chose to follow the brightest path within my sight.

Even though I was dressed casually, I made sure that I had a Glamor Charm up that would make it to where those that I do not wish to see me, will just look past me as if I was not there.

It's a pretty useful spell, to be honest.

But it's just one of the many useful spells under my belt.

Soon enough, I found my target.

Lying within an alleyway, a 15-year-old girl could be seen lying on the ground covered in bruises, filth, and scars from abuse.

Using some spells to examine the girl, I found out exactly why this girl was being treated so badly.

She was a Mutant...

I could feel the X-Gene within her and it was definitely active

What her power was I had no idea, but that's not what I am concerned about.

Casting a Glamor around the alley to prevent others from noticing anything, from there I cast a Life Magic Spell, [ Cleanse ] that cleansed the whole alley of any and all filth, which also included cleaning the girl.

From there I used [ Minor Heal ], [ Scar Removal ], [ Rejuvination ], and [ Minor Disease Removal ].

Once I was done completely I found that she still did not wake up, so once I checked her body's state once again and slapped my forehead.

She was hungry and thirsty...

So, with a wave of my hand, I opened a Gate before picking her up and walking through to the other side which was located back home.

Once the portal closed, another orange portal flashed into existence as a group of robed people charged through the gate with strange orange weapons made of some kind of energy.

Once the place was all clear, a bald woman walked through the portal and looked around.

"It appears we just missed whatever was here...you may all return, I will stay here and investigate and see if I can find out what exactly happened here," The bald woman told the robed men and women.

"Yes, Ancient One!" replied the robed figures who quickly returned through the portal to some kind of monastery before closing the portal behind them.

"Hmm...strange, for the first time in a long time, I never saw this happening..." The bald woman's face formed a smile as she began using some kind of magic to begin examining the area thoroughly with a smile clearly seen on her face.

Once we arrived back at my little sanctuary, I laid her down onto a bed within one of the new cabins that I built on my land.

As for how I got the cabins it's quite simple really, a few Nature and Earth Spells.

I fed her some water and soup before walking out of the room, well not before warding all the exits besides the door that led out to the hallway and further into the cabin.

[3rd Person POV, an hour later]

GASP!

With eyes filled with confusion, Kara looked around to find that she was lying in an unknown room on a clean bed and her confusion-filled eyes quickly turned to panic as she began thinking she was kidnapped!

She carefully and quietly climbed out from the bed and sneaked over to the window which she tried to open as quietly as possible.

'Tried' is the keyword seeing as a strange rune flashed on the window with white light before disappearing.

Every time she tried to open the window it just would not budge, and when she tried to simply break it, she felt as though she hit metal!

She had no choice but to leave through the door if she wanted to escape whoever kidnapped her!

But just as she was about to open the door she froze in place as the door's handle twisted and the door swung open revealing a young man smiling at her.

"Ah good, you're finally awake!" the young man spoke with a smile.

"Who are you?!" Shouted the young teen.

"You may call me Kain, I am the one who brought you here," The young man replied with a smile.

"And 'here' is?"

"Sanctuary."

"And why did you bring me to 'Sanctuary'?" She asked.

"Because it was the right thing to do, I found you physically abused, starving, and in pain within a small alleyway within a slum. So, I brought you here where I healed and fed you back to health," the young man explained.

"And now?" The young teen asked.

"Now, I am going to make you an offer..." The young man replied in a completely serious tone.
