69 Must Return

Hearing his name, Bai Shuixian did not show any reaction. This surprised Lin Dalong. No matter who he met, he always remembered that they would all show emotions of fear, envy, and have killing intent when looking at him.

Of course, Lin Dalong did not know that Bai Shuixian also had the same reaction as him. She was wondering at the moment why he was not asking her about her background or family upon hearing her name. There were naturally reasons for both of their actions that needed to be explained immediately.

"You have no questions about my name?" Bai Shuixian asked, a little struck that Lin Dalong did not seem to be interested in her background.

"I was just about to ask you the same question," Lin Dalong replied while staring at Bai Shuixian, wanting to see the face behind the white silk cloth.

"I have never heard of your name before. I see no point in asking you about it," Bai Shuixian admitted truthfully. "However, I'm sure you've heard of my name before. Unless you're from the village that lives below this mountain, but since Zhu Jin was unable to recognize you, it means you're a stranger."

Since Bai Shuixian explained herself, Lin Dalong also decided to reciprocate her actions, "I've heard of your name before. You created a huge drama and stirred up the capital. However, since you're on the side of the royal family, I have no reason to create problems for you."

"Hm… You're from the royal family?" Bai Shuixian asked, tilting her head to the side.

"You don't know the royal family name?" Lin Dalong asked back, hiding his frown.

"I never paid attention to it," Bai Shuixian shrugged off. "Alright, eat your food."

"Can I return if I eat your food?" Lin Dalong inquired, staring at her back that was facing him while she was lifting the bowl of congee to him.

"You're still injured," Bai Shuixian told him, her attitude apparent that he could not return at the moment.

Sighing as though he has no choice, Lin Dalong stated, "I must really return though. I'm afraid that if I disappear for too long, chaos will be reckoned."

"You are that important?" Bai Shuixian asked, believing that he really needed to return, while not believing that something bad would happen if he did not return soon.

Keeping his silence, Lin Dalong humbly requested , "Would it be possible for you to send me to the royal palace? I'll owe you for this favor."

At the same time, Lin Dalong silently hoped that Bai Shuixian would immediately agree. If not for the fact that he was wounded and he did not know the terrain, he would not be humbling himself to ask her help. In fact, he has not owed anyone for a few many years and the only person he could be considered to still be owing would be his master.

Handing the bowl of congee to Lin Dalong, Bai Shuixian asked, "What can you do for me that I should agree to send you to a place so far from where I live?"

Although Lin Dalong wanted to stand up to introduce himself with more regalness, he was wounded so he could only put it in his tone, "I am Lin Dalong, the crown prince of the Lin Empire. What is there that I cannot do?"

"You're the crown prince?" Bai Shuixian asked exaggeratedly although she did not mean to sound that way.

"You don't believe me?" Lin Dalong asked, his eyes prepared to glare at her.

"No. It's just that I truly did not know," Bai Shuixian admitted with guilt traced in her eyes.

"So, can you send me to the royal palace?" Lin Dalong asked again, knowing that she was really clueless to the ongoings of the empire.

It was not that Bai Shuixian was clueless, but rather that Xuan Yueji never cared to give the name of the people he talked to her about. They were all nameless souls that was merely a story being told to her. She almost would never think of it as something in her life unless it was essential in helping her during crisis.

Let me think about it a little," Bai Shuixian said as she left her room.

Entering the hallway, Bai Shuixian went straight to the room allocated to Zhu Jin and asked with no context, "Zhu Jin, he asked me to send him to the royal palace."

"Do you want to?" Zhu Jin immediately asked back, not caring to actually pay full attention to her.

"I've been isolated from human civilization for a long time," Bai Shuixian started as she thought seriously. "I think it would be beneficial for me to ask him to show me around the capital."

"You were born there, you should know the place well," Zhu Jin told her.

Shaking her head although knowing that he would not see it, Bai Shuixian said, "I was never allowed to go out with a guard. Even then, the only place I was allowed to go was the army camp."

Hearing her words, Zhu Jin finally found this conversation to be a bit more important and stretched a little to pay more attention to her words, "Then you should send him to the royal palace. Didn't Zhong Chen say that you were destined to meet someone important there?"

With those words, Bai Shuixian remembered that Zhong Chen did indeed say something like that to her, "Hm… What about the two brothers though?"

"Leave them to me," Zhu Jin said. "You need to experience more as an adult. You've lived in a closed world for too long. How would you learn anything staying cooped up in this mountain?"

Though Zhu Jin was speaking truthful words, Bai Shuixian was still worried, "Are you sure? Do you know how to teach them? They still haven't discovered their elemental partner."

Finally turning around to talk to her, Zhu Jin stated, "Xiao Xian, I may have lived as a tiger for a long time, but I was once a cultivating human. Besides, don't you want them to learn how to fight? Be able to protect themselves?"

Still worried, Bai Shuixiam mumbled, "Well… That's true… But…"

Fully focused on persuading Bai Shuixian to send the stranger off to the capital, Zhu Jin said, "Xiao Xian, just leave all your books here for me. As they progress, I'll give them the next level ones. With your qinggong, you can also visit as many times as you want to check on their progress."

"That may be true but…" Bai Shuixian tried to make up excuses.

Sighing, Zhu Jin put his hands on her shoulders and persuaded, "Xiao Xian, the world is not as harsh as you think it to be. Don't be afraid. Remember, with your qinggong, you can run from anything, you can go anywhere."

Although Bai Shuixian was a little sad, she agreed, "Alright. I'll leave their training to you. I'll come check on them once a week."

As soon as Zhu Jin saw that she was much more open now about the idea of traveling and living without him, he stated, "Yes, yes, leave it to me. I'll make them become masters themselves. You just need to have fun at the capital and meet up with your grandmother again."

Nodding, Bai Shuixian became a bit more determined and walked back to her room with her answer, "Alright, I'll send you back to the capital. However, in return, you must house me and help me venture in the capital."

Confused about what she meant by venture, Lin Dalong asked, "You want me to accompany you in the capital?"

"No. Just help me out a little if I accidentally get in trouble with people," Bai Shuixian explained. "I don't have any memories of the capital, so I will have to apologize in advance if I bring you too much trouble."

"That is fine. Just consider it me paying back for you helping me out and me choking you by accident," Lin Dalong told her. "When is a good time for you?"

"Do you think you can strengthen yourself for travel right now?" Bai Shuixian asked.

Bai Shuixian knew she was a masterful physician and nobody in the empire could beat her in curing wounds and more, but if a person was already about to collapse and continued to abuse their body, even she had no way to help them again. Every human body had a mental limit and a physical limit. Once they went over it, even if they wanted to fight it, they would not be able to.

"Don't worry about me," Lin Dalong answered, slowly getting up as he felt more strength returning to him. "I'm not so weak."

Seeing that Lin Dalong was not speaking lies and toughening through the wounds, Bai Shuixian came closer to his body. With a single breath, she put her arm under his armpit and leaned him on her body. After that, she sped through the landscape… accompanied by a small tiny trouble.
