It’s not the worst book in the world, but nor is it the best book I’ve ever read. To be honest, the book is a bit tedious for me to read. It started out interesting, but then kept on reminding me of the other Beauty and the Beast: XOXO or something (I don’t really remember the name). Of course, I’m fine with that. However, getting into chapters 600+, I started getting tired. In fact, I was already getting tired at chapters 500+ but I kept on powering through to read since I don’t like to drop novels and whatnot. But sincerely, I feel like I keep on reading a repeat of plots over and over again. At the same time, there are so many new developments that I’m not even sure what the genre of this book is anymore. Aside from there being history and fantasy, there is also the addition of magic and spiritualism or something along those lines. Of course, I’m fine with that. It’s just… the damn author never really discusses any of those things beforehand. I remember reading a review that the world background is very undeveloped and pretty much invisible. Yes, I agree. The plot is also constantly at a standstill and goes incredibly slow. I feel that the author is producing a lot of fillers to satisfy deadlines or whatnot. Oh yeah, I’m dropping the book now after skipping some chapters cause it just got boring for me to read. And it’s not because I have no persistence or because there’s too many chapters. I’ve read Hidden Marriage which has 3000+ chapters and I only skipped the angst chapters that I could not deal with. I read every damn chapter aside from those angst cause I can’t deal with angst. But holy lord, this book only has half of that amount and I’m already tired. I think this is a book for people to read if you’ve got time to kill and there’s nothing else to do cause it’s boring to be honest.

It’s been a year and you might already have the answer, but MC used to be forced to drink by Chang Li. It’s pretty much instinctual now to just not reject any person who tells her to drink. Either way, she knows how to protect herself, so she’s fine.

Rereading this novel, and I still can’t get over this title. Lol 😂 Author is too great. If Lu Tingxiao was open to the male market, I’m sure the fight for his favor would be even greater than it already is. [img=recommend]

I have dropped this novel due to my family situation and health issues. I apologize to all people who have been invested and investing in this novel. I would love to continue writing this novel and TFITP, but I just don't have the energy and inspiration to continue anymore. I am really sorry to all my readers and supporters.

The drama is good. It's a pretty famous drama in Thailand and almost considered a classic. Very interesting with a very good cast.

I also watch with English subtitles since I don't speak the language despite being born there. The drama isn't really happy and mostly filled with bitterness, so you might not like it. XD It is a happy ending though.
