Carla and Lydia

"Today we are going to have a PE lesson with another class. As usual, there will be competition."

Said Mister Weaver, PE teacher. Today was essentially class 1-A's usual time to have a PE lesson. Class 1-A was the class where Oscar and the others were. Jason and the boys were restless. They were missing two people. Oscar and Mason weren't here for three days now.

"Teacher, who will we compete against?"

"Class 1-C. They should be here any minute now."

Class 1-C was Carla's class. And in just a few minutes they come out of the changing rooms and joined class 1-A. The boys of the 1-A were depressed seeing the cheerful expression on the boys of the class 1-C.

"I already hate them." (Matt)

"I heard they have several people who are great at sports." (Rick)

"Now I hate you too." (Matt)

"You aren't the only one." (Rick)

Matt looked at both classes. He compared them and became even more depressed. With Mason and Oscar being absent they were already missing two people but to think that the other side had people who were good with sports was a huge blow to his competitive spirit.

"Don't worry this much. We can win with the girls. I heard most of the girls of their class are bad with sports."

Jason tried to lift his spirit with some good news. Everyone knew that Matt would be super competitive against the people of other classes. Back in Middle School, they would win against every other class but at those times their time would be complete.

Mister Weaver took out a tiny notebook from his pocket and search among its pages. He soon found what he was looking for.

"Alright, we will play basketball this time. Both classes will form teams of six. There have to be three girls and three boys on each team. You have two minutes to form your teams."

After Mister Weaver's announcement, Matt's competitive spirit quickly returns. His eyes shined with determination to win.

"He is back at it." (Rick)

"He won't stop now that playground is even." (Lucas)

"We are in for a tough battle." (Jason)

Both class quickly made their teams and they start playing basketball. Team 1-A consisted of Jason, Matt, Lucas, Leah, Hope, and Erika. Team 1-C consists of Jacob, Aaron, Alec, Stephanie, Molly, and Irene. Molly and Irene were best friends of Carla.

Molly Smith was the tallest girl in her class. Her height was 1.78 meters and she was taller than some of the boys in her class. She is one of the most athletic ones. She had shiny golden hair and brown eyes.

Irene Meyer was shorter than Molly. Her height was 1.70 and she had tan skin. She had short black hair and sharp-looking brown hair. She had a tomboyish look but she was one of the most charming girls in her class.

Stephanie Ball had the same height as Molly. She had pale white skin and silky black hair tied in a ponytail. She had dark brown eyes that is always glaring at everyone. She was also the best basketball player in her class.

Alec Nelson was shorter than the rest of the boys in his class at a height of 1.65 meters. He has light blue hair and golden eyes. His face was as cute as girls. This made him constantly frown.

Jacob West is the popular boy in his class. His height was 1.80 meters, taller than most of his classmates. He had black hair and green bangs. He had also green eyes charming most of the girls in his class.

Aaron Jones was an average person. He had average height and average appearance. He had gloomy-looking black eyes and short black hair. Even his face looked average. But his talent in sports was unmatched in his class.

The basketball match took thirty minutes. Both teams played with everything they got. Matt was the best player on his team and Aaron was his biggest rival yet. They kept blocking each other. Because of this, there weren't any goals in the early minutes of the match.

Lydia was watching the match from the sidelines. Ever since she heard her cousin was returning she forgot her own problems. Her mind was filled with thoughts of her cousin. It wasn't because she liked him, she hated him. After what he did a year ago, she loathes him.

"Hey, are you Lydia?"

"Hmm? Yeah, I am. Who are you?"

"I am Carla Liyah. Hope's friend."

"Oh. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too. I heard you were a cheerful person, so when I saw you looking so gloomy I was curious. Is everything alright?"

Lydia was surprised by her honesty about Carla. She didn't expect someone just to be this honest. She talked about her cousin. How she hates him and how he enjoys causing problems for people and enjoys seeing others in pain. In her eyes, he was a psychopath. And for some reason, he likes to mess with her among all of his family members.

"That sounds like a pain. I know a friend who had a similar problem in the past."

"Really? How did they solve it?"

"He put his cousin into an asylum. Ah, it was about what... five years or so ago, I guess. I could be wrong about the time."

"An asylum... I wish it would be as easy as putting him in there. He would find a way to escape or run away from there. How did your friend convince his cousin?"

"He tried to help him many times. Even I tried to help. But Oscar snapped when his cousin attacked him with a knife. After that, his family put him into the asylum."

"Oscar? Do you mean Oscar Williams?"

"Yes, he is the one. You are in the same class with him after all."

'He had a cousin like mine. He also had to put him into an asylum after he tried to attack him with a knife. I didn't know our situations were this similar. But still, what about my delusions? Argh! I need to clear my mind from these delusions.' thought Lydia.

Meanwhile, Carla was observing Lydia. After her talk with Hope yesterday she was very curious about Carla. Hope said that they had a little fight and because of this fight Oscar and Lydia weren't talking.

While Carla and Lydia were talking team 1-C crushed team 1-A. They won the match with an overwhelming difference. Even though team 1-A gave everything they have for the match they still lost.

"And that's how you crush your rivals!" (Jacob)

"Stop it, Jacob. It's just a basketball match between classes." (Molly"

"Yes, there is no need to make a fuss." (Irene)

"Oh! There is. Can't you see, the Matt from the 1-A was talking as if they were the best class of the first years. And now we crushed his so-called best class." (Jacob)

"Yeah, I heard something similar the other day. I thought they were really good but we beat them easily." (Alec)

"You beat us? If not for Aaron all of you guys would be in tears now. He is the one who actually played well not the rest of you." (Matt)

"And which class he is in? Oh, right. In OUR class." (Jacob)

Matt looked directly at Jacob's face. He clenched his fists.

"I'm going to beat him." (Matt)

"Shut up. He is irritating but he is kinda right." (Jason)

"Let's just solve this with another match. Let's have it when Oscar and Mason return." (Lucas)

"I like that idea. I'm in." (Aaron)

And with this, both classes agreed to have a rematch next week.
