3 A Storm is coming part1

Ryan dad was hoping for some kind of reaction, at least a better reaction than there eyebrows twitching. He couldn't help but cough a few times and clear his throat  to speak. "Guess who got a hold of a ligh..

Smack!!

"Don't go around kicking my door in, I never understand why you always trying to make a dramatic entrance". A fiery female voice came from behind.

You can tell from the tone of her voice she felt annoyed and some second hand embarrassment from his actions. A beautiful pixie-small woman that is slightly shorter than Ryan walk from behind. She have a fetchingly crescent waist and jutting collar bones. Her hair was like shiny, molten lava, pouring over her shoulders and reaching her mid-thigh. Her skin was pale and silken, contrasting with a pop of green in her mischief eyes. It was Ryan and Daymon mom Malisa.

"Drake, you can at least wait until I'm in the house too before you start talking".

"Sorry honey" Drake said as he rubbing the back of his head with a indignit expression.

Malisa just rolled her eyes at his half hearted apology.

Drake look back to his kids and start talking again. "As I was saying I got a hold of a lightning martial skill for Ryan".

Ryan couldn't help be shocked when he hear his dad words. "How, I thought you said the faction don't have any lighting skills".

A proud look was plastered on Drake face watching the shock and amazement in his kid eyes.

"It wasn't to much work we went outside the city walls to hunt today. A random lightning mage had the audacity to try to look at my wife and he paid for it with his life. Of course we looted him after and found a spacial storage ring with a lighting technique inside."

Confusion was written on Ryan face as he asked. "so you killed a random mage just for looking at mom".

His dad was overbearing at times but he was never that unreasonable. Just as his dad was about to agree his mom Malisa interupted.  "Stop joking around we got them together to tell them the whole story. A storm is on the way, it about time they get mentally prepare for it."

"Yeah, my bad, You right",

The whole asmephare change from carefree to serious with the changing of his expression. "Do yall remember a few months ago when there was a beast tide cause by a Instance Dungeon nearby. "

Both the kids nodded there heads as he continue to speak. "Our faction Black Hawk was the first group of people to make it in and to kill the boss. The same old thing happened just like all the other dungeon we entered, just was a slightly harder boss fight.

"After killing the boss we found a legendary artifact." Drake sighed helplessly.

" Why are you saying it like it's a bad thing. Are you trying to brag that you got a legendary artifact or something." Daymon said confused. (Who wouldn't want a legendary artifact, give it to me if you don't want it that bad.)

Drake had a look of embarrassment plaster on his face." No, I'm not. It just that i feel helpless because everytime i get the last hit and kill the boss we get something good. I just regret getting the last hit on it.

Sometimes treasure are more harmful than helpful.

Everyone would want a legendary artifact that can be counted on 1 hand, of appearing in the last 400 years. Our faction leader knew we wouldn't be able to keep it once the word get out that he obtained it. He even knows there probably spys in his faction and there was people in the distance watching the fight.

They obviously felt the power of the artifact when it was sitting there. He still had decided to keep it, knowing all that."

"Did he want to sell the artifact and that's why he kept it" Ryan asked.

"Nope, or it would have been sold by now. He would had publicly sold it to let everyone know he doesn't have the artifact anymore. Just like everyone expected slowly but surely the word got out that he still have it. Now alot of people had been coming for the artifact. Just like today, that lightning mage was another mage from a different faction.

He came from outside the city and been spying on our faction members for a while now. We was just ordered to get rid of all the people spying, instead of ignoring them like we used to do. We got a feeling it won't be much longer before a big fight take place."

"Why don't you just leave without telling anyone" Daymon asked.

"Of course me and your mom thought about that but sadly we don't know exactly when everyone will attack. If we leave to early, our faction might just make it difficult on us. We are some of the strongest and most valuable members they have with an easy weakness. "

"What weakness is that" Daymon said with a thoughtful look.

Before there parents could reply, Ryan replied first. "us".

"Your right, I'm impress that u could think of it that fast" his dad said meanfully.

"We are only 2 people at the end of the day, even tho we are the strongest in the faction. It would not be hard for them to come with numbers and keep us busy while someone else come for the both of you." Malisa said worryingly

"If they capture yall, we will have no choice but to be forced to listen to them. So we just hope when they do attack it will be a big mess and we could sneak our way out of the city zone. Traveling out in the wild is dangerous but it would be safer than staying here with so many unknown factors. We can just head to a new city to live in."said Drake.

Both the brothers had a understanding look on there face as they listened.

"is that why recently you told me to train harder, so we have the greatest chance of survival when in the wilderness". Daymon asked

"Yeah and that why we told you to spend more time with Ryan too. I know u don't like beating up your younger brother all the time but its good experience for him."

Daymon just agree while avoiding eye contact." Yeah it hurt me more than it hurt Ryan to always have to find reasons to beat him up"

Ryan frown when he heard that but didn't say anything about it. He understood the seriousness of the situation.
