What Alpha Rowan didn't know was that the pack prayed the same thing as him. "Please, don't give our future alpha a mate." And if they had time to dedicate Cassandra Harrington to the moon goddess they would have done so.
But the one person who was supposed to be concerned wasn't. It was the least of her worries since all of her focus was to train and become a better warrior before she left.
She knew it would be soon.
As they entered the pack's dining hall to take their breakfast, Cassie wouldn't miss the stare everyone gave her. She assumed it. She was ravenous. And if they wanted to eat them with their eyes, they should give a minute to savor the delicious meal the pack cooks have prepared for all of them.
"Somebody did something wrong." Her wolf teased. Cassie smiled. "I am happy you have noticed."
