Election

My head ached as I attempted to sit up but I felt as if there was an immense pressure keeping my body pinned to the ground. I immediately noticed that I no longer felt cold hard concrete under my face and hands, but the cool damp feeling of grass and I fought to at least open my eyes. 

"You are so stubborn," the same feminine voice from earlier filled my ears and I heard her scoff as she shifted on the ground next to me. "I won't release you as long as you fight me."

Of course I was going to fight her! I couldn't help my annoyance with her indignant attitude, but I felt the same exhaustion as before starting to take over my body. I gritted my teeth as I tried to force myself to relax, giving up on opening my eyes or trying to move my body. I heard her chuckle at my obedience and I felt the anger growing in my heart as she clapped her hands.
