Little Luna

There is an old lady living near the creek. The old lady is kind and soft hearted. but little did they know

she have a disease that won't allow her to gave birth hence the reason why all her late husband left her... It was hard for her, even the people saw her carrying twigs and sacks of woods. Foraging foods around the forest and planting some around her backyard but every wensday she can be found roaming around the market every wensday to buy goods, she can also be found handing apples to poor people...

Every afternoon, the old lady went at the back of her house, praying to have a child...

One day a child was born, a girl... All birth is a blessing but for her it is a tragic. She never had a chance to see them.

Her parents was gone before her;her father was poisoned and her mother died from disease after her birth, Her relative, her mother's sister who took her gave her to the old lady at the creek.

One night there was a knock on the old lady door. It is midnight so she then ignore it, she thought that it might only be a prank. It was raining that time;The sound of every drops of rain as its soothes your sense of hearing,

sound of wind as its hits her dayame roof that gave a nostalgic vibe, Sound of branch that crack everytime they collided...

The person who keeps knocking haven't stop yet so the old lady decided to check, she took her glasses and stand up to look who's knocking at night...

As she opens the door, a small basket is revealed...

She was confused at first but still took the basket in and then someone starts to cry she opened it immediately.

"a baby? gracious!! " The lady hold her chest to pound the sudden burst of emotion as she gasped... She then look her surrounding to check if someone who left the baby is still there.

But only a sound of raindrops can be heard.

"I might left you here" She said she took the baby out of the basket...

The way their eyes collided the old lady easily attached to the child.

"little girl, my sweetie... for now on you'll be called luna, Luna amethyst." she gracefully smiled and flicked luna's tiny hair.

As luna grow in her wall, she gave everythings luna's needs...

She never expect to have a daughter at her age, and now her prayer is answered.

Despite her having no parents, Luna still grow into a sweet little child. Her dark hair compliments her green eyes and it match with her skin like pearl. . Ever since luna came in her life,

The old lady found new things to do. She again found meaning to her life. She always thought about having a child she can teach and without hesitance she decided to teach luna every single things. The old lady then, was always seen sitting at the dock knitting but now she can be found with luna every morning teaching her.

Luna grew into a fine young lady.

She is always around at the front door sitting and reading books. Her beauty indeed shine around the village and became the talk of the town...

"That girl is always reading? can we ask her to play with us?" Child murmured

"Hmmm wonder who's the father of that child is? " A guy asked his friend.

"The child at the creek who lived with the old lady is sure is a beautful lady."

A teenage boy said whose always at the tree eating apples whispered...

However dark rumors became inevitable.

Someone just rumured that luna is an arcana... As this rumor spread across the village, it cause havoc.

They attack the old lady bringing torches and forks... luckily not all people agrees.

" You all doesn't have evidence to back up all your false accusation" A sharp toned girl with a crop top yelled.

"If someone touched this lady I'll swear to kill them" A guy deeply yelled. The guy has this apron holding a sword and slowly pointing it to the villagers.

All the people is starled some back out and some still in there parading thier torches and forks...

But later on they still leave

The old lady thanked all the people who protected her she invited them to have a little snack in her house...

As they talk all night about luna

Luna starts to yawn cutely

The old lady seems to notice luna drowsiness and proceed to the bed to lay luna, gaving her a kiss on the forehead before she leaves.

Luna at 8 , always help her mother and always went to church

Luna is always thankful about her life that is given to her and she also went to church everytime and made friend named Zeke, a strong independent girl who always fight for her, a flexible one who always hunts in the forest. She can always be found in the church helping chores.

Every time luna went to see her, she always tells luna everything she knows around the village.

Darks stories, funny things and weird thoughts but for some reason she stop going to church.

one day the atmosphere is quite heavy she went to the church but not all day is the same as yesterday , zeke sitting on the branch jump off upon seeing luna and hug her tightly

"Hey luna this might be our final meeting..."

It made luna world tremble...

Luna never heard such loud silence before.

"My guts feels like you should never come back to church again. Everynight I always dream of you, in this dream you are my very best friend but you are also an arcana... I don't know if the priest seen something on you he always on the tower looking at you. It seems my instinct is telling me to protect you everytime I saw him looking. Luna... trust me never come back here again! never again!! "Zeke warned and then again hug luna very tight and left..

luna didnt even have a chance to say goodbye. She was left confused never had a chance to ask why..

She went home quietly and immediately hug her mother...

"ahhhh why my little girl is clingy today" her mother wondered as she hugged her daughter back.

"nothing mom. nothing...."

At 10 she started to have a small little business, She sells turon and banana cue. This snack is very popular around her village she also drastically change the one elegant lady became a strong dependent lady with boyish vibe somesay it is only a phase however you can still see her reading books every break time...

4 years ago at the front of the jewelry shop

"hey everyone snacks here!!! snacks"

Luna little business bloom in this past few years. Luna became a lady, she once again dress elegantly, a soft one on the outside but strong in the inside it is contrast to her attitude when she was 10... only few knows that luna is a strong child the village again seen her as a fragile child.

During her business Luna once again felt this sad sensation in her body, this is really new to her she was having a hard time comprehending it...

She looks at the sky as she remembers zeke, all this year wondering why... her heart still cant move on, She sat on chair at the jewelry shop to take a rest. She still have a lot of snacks to sells.

*luna's sigh loudly

"hey sighing that loud is the same as letting all your happiness go away in every single way... why so gloomy today luna?"

The lady with a croptop stated and sat besides luna.

"oh hey, eliana"

"hey!! I said call me ann" she exclaimed then patted my back.

"You don't have to worry about every trivial things luna, you should focus more in to whats ahead of you..." She then starts to stand up and threw a chocolate to luna.

"cheer up" ann smiled at her and waved her hand as she walks away.

"I guess I don't have a choice then" A little while, luna then checked her purse checking her earnings for today.

"wow! I earned too much today"

Luna said wearing a smile on her face.

She felt very happy.

"I guess I need a way to forgot zeke for awhile"

Luna think carefully about what she would do... She look around and saw the jewelry store at her back, luna went to look closely, looking and looking until she decided to pick a jewelry as a gift for her mother.

"I guess I'll do it later"

later that day after she sold her snacks she excitedly begun to walk... Randomly though, at the street in search for a gift.

Every time she enters a store luna left sighing.

"I don't have enough money to pick one, all beautiful are expensive there's no way I can bought one" She moaned.

Luna is struggling to find one because every beautiful one she saw is expensive.

still she keeps walking randomly betting her chances with a smile on her face. The clock is already past 9, luna felt that she needs to go home already.

"One last street and then I'll go home"

Luna then again randomly walk until she found herself on this unfamiliar street with a creepy huge tree in the middle.

"Apple tree? "

luna walk toward the tree but the crows was startled and flew in different direction.

Luna back off a little bit and stumbled to a root... She stand up and brush off any dirt she could see but then she saw a shiny colorful little store. She ease her mind and calmed herself.

The store caught luna's attention but even tho she calmed herself, she still felt doubtful.

"A store that wonderful seems expensive in every part" luna's thoughts.

"but its the last of them... Might gave a try and wrap things up so I can go home"

She then went inside the store.

The store has this unreadable name.

Japanese? Thai? or chinese perhaps?

The store is wrap with limestone and glowstone, the corner has this weird colorful dust, When blown by a gist of wind, it imits a unique colorful lights.

Upon entering, luna was shocked.. The store is completely different to what she expected.

The toys is flying in everycorner as if they have their own engine.

The toys are moving naturally it feels that they have life.

The books are flying returning to their designated place.

"wow! this place is wonderful" luna's murmur.

The guy that standing alone on the counter that seems to be the owner seems peculiar.

His eyes is endowed with black bags, his nose is quite pointy, his coat are dark red, his scarf seem to be made of fur and a hat just like a magician.

Luna is hesitant but has no choice but to try she then asked the cashier if he has recommended gifts for a lady..

The old guy seems hilarious in everyway but at the sametime emits a scary aura. He seems like the clown who scared children for pleasure.

He took out a golden box and opened it.

The box display marvelous jewelry that shines every corner of it luna can't afford it such extravagant exquisite things. The box display a beautiful necklace, diamond ring, earing and many more jewelries. she look to her pocket but even an inch of this item is worth more than she have.

"uhmm sir, do you have something that I can afford " Luna said with a reluctant smile.

The guy seems calm, he closed the box and took out another box, but this time the box is ordinary, a typical box...

Upon opening, the box revealed different type of wonderful jewelry, but something caught her eyes.

A necklace...

The necklace has this emerald pendant tied with a rope.

"can I touch it?" She reluctantly asked the cashier and point out the necklace.

"Ofcourse young lady" The old Guy look at her feeling satisfied, it is creepy though.

Luna then pick the necklace and

look closely to it.

The inside of the necklace seems to be a fog swirling around, it's alluring, and eye catching. The other cheap one is also pretty but this one, what caught her eyes.

"hmm hmmm a good choice indeed" The old man look at her bluntly while grooming his pointy beard.

luna tried the necklace to check if it suited to her Mother. She then noticed that the necklace start to shows blingking light, the fog within starts to swirl faster and wild . A small little green light shows, then the green light grew bigger and bigger, until it explode.

The emerald in the necklace exploded shattered into small pieces then the shattered pieces turned into a diamond shape that pierced luna's chest.

It wasn't hurt, It only gave her weird feeling.

I heard some unfamiliar voice, it had me weak however the phenomenon hasn't ended yet, the wind begun to grow stronger.. It blows the inside of the store until it turned into a messed.

A light that resembles a female body shows up, the light flew around me as if it checking me closely. The light then stop at my back, then hold my shoulder.

She whisper "Grow" and then the light hugged luna, the light then fade with the wind luna was little starled about what happen and shocked.

Luna once again heard some weird voices. she look at the necklace, it still has a small piece of emerald though. When luna is about to return the necklace, the wall clock starts to rung and the sound gaves tremble to luna's body as she run and unconsciously took the necklace...

The cashier didn't waver, the cashier also appear to be shocked...

His store is indeed full of wierd and unexplainable things but this one might be his weirdest.

Luna ran relentlessly until she reach her town.

She reach the house and open the door slowly...

She is delighted that her mother wasn't waiting for her, she went straight to her room and find out that her mother is inside her room.

She felt sadness and guilty of her mistake.

she thought that she made her mother worried so much that she wait in her room to know that she went home.

Her mother is a heavy sleeper, she wont easily know her surrounding.

She carried her slowly and put her on her bed.

She sleep soundly.

she went to the room and took the extra mat and then

She prepared the mat at her bed.

Luna still wondering about the incident ealier leaving her shocked.

The church bell starts to ring.

She woked up gracefully took a peak at the window revealing the church, a small stretchs and then fold her bed.

Luna smells something good.

"wait is that my favorite? IS THAT ADOBO?"

she immediately went down to the kitchen and sees her mother cooking.

She hugged her mother and kiss her on the cheeks.

"good morning sweetie...I cooked your favorite..."

"Thanks mom!" luna tighten her hugged as if nothing happen.

She sat down at the table, a small silence happen because neither of them wants to start the conversation luna doesn't have something to say and her mother want luna to talk first.

"you came home late last night sweetie" Her mother broke the silence.

"yeah sorry about that mom I was having a problem on my way home" Luna said gloomingly not long after luna wear a smile " mom I have something for you."

Luna then handed her small little gift to her Mother.

A necklace with a piece of emerald.

"thank you sweetie"

The emerald seems to be broken but her mother doesn't mind it.

wait what? this is what luna's thought.

She was dedicated to gave her mother a gift that she forgot how she got the gift.

She then remember what happened last night and why the necklace is still with her.

Luna felt guilty about not paying the broken necklace... after a long pause she decided to return it after her work.

After a long day... luna sold her stocks and thought about paying the necklace, but she encountered a tiny bitsy small problem...

She forgot where that street was last night.

She again randomly walk around... A few hours later she founds herself in a familiar street. A street where there is a huge tree in the center.

The tree doesn't have a leaves and its trunk is full of scratches. she then search the spot where she got stumbled on. She didn't found any roots on the road.

Then what was the reason why she got stumbled?

Luna thoughts is very blury but she's sure why she got stumbled yesterday.

She still afraid about this unexplainable feeling but she does not pay too much attention about it.

Then the angle of the tree recall her memory that this very spot is where she was stumbled. She then look at her back immediately. She saw a familiar dust, but this time the dust is not glowing but only shining. It shine everytime the sunlight hits.

She search the surrounding but the store was nowhere to be found. The road that was made of brick lead toward the store is now just a pile of dirt without trace of foot steps.

Ackkkkkkkkkkk

The crow screech gave chills to her spine.

"wews, what was that mr. Crow" She unintentionally said.

"I am sorry but I just wanna try to warned you" the crow wipes its eyes with its wings

"WHAT?!?!?" luna shriek but she is not terrified more like she is amaze.

she turned her back immediately and analyze herself

did the crow just asnwered me?

" wait did you just understand me???" The crow asked.

I turned around slowly to face the crow on the tree.

"yes??" A slightly nodded my head.

Upon nodding the crow froze.

"After all thid year I finally found you without further a do I know what happen last night" the crow confidently said

"ohh last night? did you happen to found a store? "

"a store? no? there wasn't a store nor a house here"

Luna recall all her memory of what happened last night but then its went to blurry. As if it was just a medicine effect that starting to fade off. She again look to the crow and saw that the crows wipes its eyes again..

mannerism? This what luna thought its was but it is different the crow tears and the way it trued to avoud sunlight so much is worrying.

"what happen last night? "

"I got strucked by the light so sudden that made my memory a little off" The crow's stressed and always wiping its eyes with its wings.

"then tell me only what you saw"

"ok hear me..... I am one of those peculiar that people always amaze of.

There was what we call fairies, angels, elf and undeads.

I am a descendants of the undead guard who once ought to protect this land... but undead are undead. Yes they are unvulnerable but still weak against light... They can also be easily corrupt because of their dark energies..

There is a reason why I can speak but their is also a rule about this...

I can only talk to witches and undeads, a person that fulls of dark attributes but you... You were full of light attributes but you still understand me..."

" okkkkk...."Luna heads is very confused right now, she wanted to focus about her objective before understanding the other one " then about last night"

"Impatient little girl are ya? Last night, after you saw the gate. You stand for almost 20 minutes face unscathed and unfazed.

after 20 minutes you finally enter the gate but still you wondered aimlessly at the street. my friend and I was looking at you some of us just laughing and some of us are observing carefully." The crows then flew down.

" some of the elder crow was worried.... and then you directly approached the tree..the crows flew because they was frightened and only I was left.. I don't know why but you got stumbled. The road is concrete, made of bricks, nothing can stumble you.

Then your eyes seems like there was a light in front of you. I saw a house, bright house fill of glowing dust. I flew toward the lamp to look closely and then a bright light flash before me. My eyes still hurt but I still want to find out, therefore I went more closely but the light went out and only darkness was shown."

The crow flew again to a branch and took out a scroll... The crow then gave it to luna.

" by here on I the descendance of the undead, protector of the land. will now swore my loyalty toward you through good and evil, through life and death. My wings and Eyes, soul and spirit shall be yours."

The crow pluck its feather and gave to luna.

" This feather is our contract, only death can tear this apart "

The feather starts to flew as the crow chant its incantation.

" hmm hey luna sorry but this is more like a curse than a bind contract..." the crow warn her.

"hey wait shouldn't that is the first thing you should sa..... arghhhhhhh"

Luna's heart felt heavy as if someone is trying to squash it. The sound of chains was heard as it start to climb and rise from the ground. The 8 chains pierced luna's heart relentlessly. She felt horrindous pain and scream loudly as if she's asking for help from this horrible situations...
