Chapter 17: Answer

The Gaia centipede hurled another set of stones to stopped his movement, in return, he activated his Thunder magic and struck the Gaia centipede multiple times.

"The moment you stepped on this place, it's already my win."

The Gaia centipede roared and launched multiple acidic webs in every direction he was in.

In order to not get ensnared by the acidic web, he activated his fire magic and use it as a barrier, and continued his barrage of magic.

Multiple consecutive bombardments of Fire and Thunder magic were blasted to the Gaia centipede, the burning heat of Fire magic that keep on appearing in every direction, and the destructive Thunder magic that directly attacking the Gaia centipede's head, every attack was intense enough to render the Gaia centipede trembling.

The Gaia centipede roared and picked up a rock and hurled it to the fast-moving enemy.

The bombardment of Fire and Thunder magic did not stop, even with its extraordinarily durable body, due to its hard exoskeleton and skin, the Gaia centipede already took more than enough damage to render it incapacitated.

The next thing the revengeful centipede felt was the water ball plummeted from above. The Gaia centipede did not move it just remained still in its position.

He activated his Thunder magic and blasted it right on the Gaia centipede's head. The thunder strike roared and with the reinforcement of Water magic that was all over the Gaia centipede's body, he delivered his final blow.

"Farewell."

He remained still while gazing upon the body of the Gaia centipede.

He sounded a huge sigh. "It's done."

However.

The brown-red skin of Gaia centipede suddenly glow and turned into bright red while its body started to move while an unnerving growl was could be heard.

"What the hell is happening?"

He activated his Wind magic towards one of the holes at the wall.

A raging roar resonated throughout the area, which even made the nearby Cave bats and Cave wolves flee out of fear.

"I have no idea that the power of friendship is applicable even for a giant centipede!"

With its gained strength, the Gaia centipede smashed the ground using its powerful pincers, the top layer of the ground shattered.

The Gaia centipede picked up the broken layer of the ground and hurled it to him.

He managed to get inside the wall before the charging stone hit him, the stone destroyed the part of the call where it crashed.

"That looks awfully bad."

A powerful head slam destroyed the wall and he was completely exposed to the Gaia centipede.

"What the hell!" He shouted out of surprise.

The Gaia centipede launched multiple acidic webs to pin him down but he immediately activated his Wind magic to flew away while blasting Fire and Thunder magic while on his way.

However, a hurled stone crashed on him, the impact was enough to knock him to the wall, and an acidic web followed it up.

He used his Fire magic to get rid of the acidic web and activated his Wind magic to keep his distance, but a stone double his size stopped him before his Wind magic could blast him out.

He screamed out of intense pain. The stone fell to the ground with him.

"I messed up."

A huge crack was visible in his body while some white particles were starting to come out from his body.

The Gaia centipede rushed towards him while extending its head for a bite.

He activated his Wind magic to evade the Gaia centipede's fang and flew above it.

He flew towards the cave chamber leaving the wall that formerly protecting him from a now destructive enemy.

Multiple consecutive stones pursued him, but rather than using the Wind magic as a barrier like before, he just evaded it by accelerating his movement.

"You are one hell of a pain in the ass!"

He activated his Water magic and hurled the water ball to the Gaia centipede and quickly followed it up with Thunder magic. The attack made the Gaia centipede stopped for a moment and resumed its charge towards him.

He activated multiple Fire magic at once and filled the chamber with floating fireballs.

The Gaia centipede picked up a stone in an attempt of throwing it at him.

"It's futile."

He activated the Fire magics he was holding and all at once the fireballs launched towards the Gaia centipede. This time instead of making the fireballs explode and deal non-potent damage, he used the fireballs to burn down the Gaia centipede.

The fire immediately engulfed the Gaia centipede, the attack was not that effective when the target could still move, but the giant centipede could no longer walk and just remained still.

Even struggling and at the edge of its very life, the Gaia centipede picked up a stone, and with its last strength, the Gaia centipede threw the small stone towards him, but the Gaia centipede was already in its weakest state and the stone did not even travel a distance, the stone just dropped to the ground.

Slowly, the Gaia centipede's numerous legs collapsed, and for this time, it will never rise again.
