If I may, Erik's naming sense is not that bad, [Kagura:-Eye of Mind] is actually quite catchy.

Personally, I was planning to name the new ability as [Nimbus Gale Jet Black Arrow Formation Zero]. (jk)

But apparently, for Erik, it wasn't good enough.

So I just went with his suggestion, nevertheless, my new ability is very helpful for me, as a magician and future clan head.

The other clan heads are still to arrive; I don't really have anything to do until everyone has gathered inside the conference room.

Let's see what he is planning to do tonight.

I moved towards Erik's location, due to some reason my new ability didn't really work on him, other than making me aware of his presence.

Now, I personally think that it may be due to his strange magic or some kind of anti-intrusion technology he keeps on himself.

Either way, I couldn't find him within the [Information-Plane], making me realize just how dope of a magician Erik has become.

Anyway, so yeah...there he is, talking with Kudou Retsu? Does he want to invite Elder Retsu into the new company or in the [Eye of the Moon Plan]?

Interesting, I wonder how you are planning on achieving the latter if you are even planning on doing so.

Oh! By the way, I was wearing a black suit & pants along with a blue tie. Just thought that I should tell you all about my clothing, it's pretty comfortable so to say.

"Elder Retsu, it's a pleasure to finally meet you in person." (Erik)

In front of me, stood an old man wearing a black suit, other than a few wrinkles on his face and his white hair, he looked like a middle-aged man in his 30s.

None would have believed that this man was over 9-decades old if they didn't know of him and his exploits.

I extended my hand towards the former world's strongest magician; the old man firmly grasps my hand and shakes it.

I couldn't feel the magician pressure emitting from his body but that just showed just how talented this man was in magic.

My concealment was a passive effect of [Hollow's Body] while this old man had achieved the same thing through sheer training and talent.

Not only this old man was very powerful but he was equally smart, the perfect combination for a powerful magician.

Another reason for me to have him support my plans.

"The younger generation has surpassed the older generation, it is indeed a pleasant experience to meet the leaders of this generation." (Retsu)

"You flatter me Elder Retsu, I am just a businessman with ambitions of my own..." (Erik)

"Hoho...Minoru, meet Erik Saltzman, a very talented individual and someone you can learn from, he too specializes in [Convergence-Type] and [Absorption-Type] Magic." (Retsu)

The Old man turned towards his grandson, introducing us two, I looked towards the young man standing next to him.

He was a pale boy with gentle, yet delicate features that would not be mistaken for a girl. With his looks, he can be seen as the archetype of a pretty boy.

"Nice to meet you, Mr.Saltzman..." (Minoru)

He spoke in a high pitched voice befitting of his boyish appearance.

I could tell he was nervous even though he tried to maintain his image as Retsu's grandson. His physical appearance easily attracted others' attention, in the same way, Miyuki's did in the novel.

Simply put, he is on the same level as me when it comes to looks, with mine being more defined and mature, due to me being older than him.

He extended his hand towards me, offering a handshake.

I decided to accept, not being I was being polite or I should do so, but because...

This was the perfect opportunity for me to copy his ability, [Boosted Elemental Sight] and fill the last Hollow slot.

"Nice to meet you too, Kudou-san..." (Erik)

I could feel my eyes burn a little, the integration of the new ability wasn't always a fun process. Nevertheless, I didn't even flinch from the burning and looked straight at the young man.

"Hmm...Elder Retsu, Minoru-san seems to be sick?" (Erik)

My comment immediately gained their attention, Minoru had a shocked expression on his face whereas Retsu just let out a sigh.

"Nothing escapes your eyes does it?" (Retsu)

He slightly raised his palm, a small spell structure appeared within his palm as he activated his magic, [Outer-systematic Type].

He simply scrambled the vectors around us like it was nothing; making it impossible for a third person to overhear the conversation we were about to have.

He did such complex magic like it was child's play, that too without a C.A.D to assist the casting process, what a monster!

"You are right, Erik. Minoru suffers from a genetic disease which makes him unable to use his magic to its full potential." (Retsu)

Hm...Minoru looks extremely surprised, probably thinking about why his grandfather would tell the Kudou family secret to me, someone who is unknown to them.

A good question indeed but the Old Man knows that I know about Minoru's condition, denying a fact would be disrespectful of him while he can't do anything to silence me.

I am, after all, Erik Saltzman.

"Interesting, a genetic disease you say..." (Erik)

"Mr.Saltzman, if you don't mind me asking, how did you know about his?" (Minoru)

I read the novel...…of course I couldn't say this to the young lad. Well, I do have a better explanation.

"Your bone density is below average, your heartbeat is weaker when compared to a healthy person, and you also seem to have a bit difficulty breathing and overall your physical constitution is below average." (Erik)

"I can also feel a large amount of psion within your body but the flow network is just horrible." (Erik)

"This leads me to believe that you are suffering from some kind of medical problem but you are a Kudou, so it is probably something that even doctors can't fix, perhaps a certain body condition." (Erik)

"You gathered all this just from a handshake!?" (Minoru)

Don't act shocked Minoru, this level of observation is something you should actively seek after, especially since you have [Boosted Elemental Sight] coupled with [Mental-Interference Magic].

"Formidable isn't he? This is why I told you that you can learn from him, he is one of the most talented individuals I have ever seen in my long life, leader of this generation if I must say." (Retsu)

"I am not talented, Elder Retsu. Your grandson, on the other hand, has the capability to become a very powerful magician." (Erik)

Be modest when you need to, especially if you want to earn plus points from old individuals.

Anyway, Minoru was strong enough to defeat all three, Saegusa Kasumi, Saegusa Izumi, and Saegusa Mayumi in a fight.

It was even acknowledged by Kudou Makoto, the current Head of Kudou, that present Minoru is the strongest magician among Kudou.

"He can indeed become the pillar of the modern society if only he didn't suffer from his condition." (Retsu)

I looked towards Minoru, his frustrated expression was enough for me to understand the burden he carried.

Poor lad, his very existence is just a weapon for the Kudou clan, only this old man and his half-cousin truly care for him.

Of all Retsu's grandchildren, Kyouko and Minoru are especially close. He respects and gets along well with Retsu and is happy when his talent is acknowledged by Retsu.

He is Retsu's motivation for stopping the use of Magicians as living weapons.

As an Augmented Magician, there is a possibility that he might not live long enough to grow into an adult.

For others, he is just Elder Retsu's grandson whereas, for his clan, he is just a failed project with immense power.

"Hmm....I think I can cure Minoru." (Erik)

Of course, I can fix him, the problem with his body is his soul or incomplete information body, I can use the [Hollow's Touch] to mend his soul using the vitality of others.

"But my service comes at a price..." (Erik)

I am not a good person, I have my goals and objectives to accomplish. Everything in this world comes at a price.

I purposely mentioned Minoru's condition to gain Retsu's attention; to use the young lad as a bargaining chip to invite his grandfather within the [Dream Chaser Technology].

The pair of grandson and grandfather had astonished expression on their face, its expected, after all even the top doctors couldn't fix him, and I was claiming otherwise.

"Mr.Erik, are you absolutely sure that you can heal Minoru?..." (Retsu)

The Old Man had a serious expression on his face, he had always regretted not stopping his son from creating Minoru, now he had hope.

Hope that he could undo what his son did to Minoru.

"M-Mr.E-Erik, c-can you r-really do i-it?" (Minoru)

The young lad was so overwhelmed that he couldn't even speak properly, the words refused to leave his mouth.

"Yes..." (Erik)

"What do you want in return?" (Retsu)

Now that's a good question, right there.
