Chapter:39 Attack pt-3

"FIRE!!!....."

Daichi roared with red-eyes as he activated his magic, knowing full when that someone had just killed most of his squad, he immediately burst forth with full power, decisively attacking everyone within the room.

Multiple magic circles appeared all around the room, [Phalanx] was something ever high-level Juumonji clan member could use, Daichi being a former member of the clan was extremely skilled in Spatial Magic, second only to Katsuto himself.

Multiple 3-dimensional walls burst forth like projectiles, hurdling towards everyone within the room, Daichi's plan was to distract the mysterious attacker while he safely retreated backwards while locking everyone within the room with the sleeping agent.

The white-uniformed individuals who were still alive immediately provided their leader with cover fire as they directly fired their lethal weapon towards the crowd beneath them.

"I wouldn't let you!....."

Katsuto stepped forward with enormous momentum, he launched multiple [Phalanx] towards the one which Daichi had created.

ℂ𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕜! (Crack!)

Usually, [Phalanx] is nigh absolute magic which doesn't have much weakness but when faced with [Spacial magic], it's like fighting fire with fire.

Both of the attacks successfully cancelled each other out, unfortunately, Katsuto was too focused on stopping his former friend, thus he couldn't stop every single projectile thrown at the guests.

𝔹𝕒𝕞! (Bam!)

The accelerated plain shield accelerated towards two Juumonji clan elders who covered themselves in their own magic, wanting to survive the sudden attack of Daichi.

The barrier around them bulged upon impact yet, they gritted their teeth and pressed on to negative the impact behind Daichi's attack.

(Meanwhile)

Erik looked towards the leftover attackers and motioned towards Naotsugu to take care of them while he deals with the incoming [Anti-Magic bullets].

Naotsugu immediately synced with Erik as he burst forth with insane speed, a magic pattern appeared beneath his legs as he stomps his feet on the ground to propel himself into the air.

With a simple [Weight-Type Magic], Naotsugu floated in front of the attackers while they raised their guns to shoot him.

𝔹𝕒𝕟𝕘! (Bang!)

Naotsugu tilts his body towards the left to avoid the bullets from connecting with his skin. Landing on the edge of the railing, he quickly arrived near the first intruder, smashing his accelerated kick into his side.

𝔹𝕒𝕞! (Bam!)

A powerful blow connected with the attacker's side as his body bend towards the left and a pained expression appeared on his face.

The blow was strong enough to knock out the weapon within his hands, Naotsugu moves forward and smashed his elbow right into the attacker's neck.

ℂ𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕜! (Crack!)

Under the power of Naotsugu's blow, the neck of the attacker shattered into multiple sharp shards and plunged into his throat and windpipe, directly ending his life.

The other attacker who was behind him jumped towards Naotsugu with a tactical knife within his hands after moving his gun to the side.

Now, many may ask why did the attacker abandon his gun? After all, isn't a [M-16] better than a knife?

Unfortunately, the gun is even bigger than [Ak-47] is size, moreover, something like an assault rifle is made of long-ranged fights, when the enemy enters a certain area around the gun user, the latter must abandon his gun and fight using something else.

This was because, the size of the gun restricted the wielder's mobility and reflex, in close-quarter combat, it was a suicidal thought of using a rifle.

Thus, the attacker used his knife instead and attacked Naotsugu.

"Tsk....annoying!"

(Meanwhile)

"[Convergence-Type:-Ice Armour]....."

Multiple magic sequences appeared near the western side of the hall where the attackers were firing their guns, the temperature around the area suede ly dropped as a strange-looking 'rock' made of ice appeared in front of the bullet to act as a shield.

Mayumi acted quickly and created a giant shield made of ice to block the incoming bullets, Erik also used [Data-fortification] on Mayumi's ice shield to increase it's resistance to magic and overall durability.

𝔹𝕒𝕟𝕘! (Bang!)

The bullets impacted the shield made up of ice and lodged onto the outer surface, effectively not moving any further.

Mari stepped forth with her C.A.D, activating her [Weight-Type Magic], she swings her long string baton into the guns, directly slashing them apart while Naotsugu took care of the others.

"Humph!..."

Daichi had already retreated back towards the exit and launches a barrage of [Phalanx] towards the pillars near Mayumi and Mari.

ℂ𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕜! (Crack!)

The pillars directly broke under the powerful attack and the ceiling partially collapsed onto Mayumi and Mari, even Naotsugu and the attackers were caught in the attack.

"Damn it!..."

Katsuto had no other option but to protect the guests from the collapsing ceiling, Naotsugu also abandoned his fight with the attackers and immediately arrives near Mari, taking her into a princess carry, he rushes towards the broken portion of the wall.

"Wait a minute! Mayumi and Erik! They are still inside!..."

Mari tries to struggle out of Naotsugu's hold as she tells him to save her friends too.

"You need not worry about them, with Erik there I highly doubt that both of them will be in any kind of danger..."

Naotsugu was stronger than Mari, far stronger...she couldn't resist his strength at all, she was very concerned about her two friends but calmed down a bit after hearing her boyfriend's words.

"I hope they are okay....."

She mumbled to herself as she wrapped her arms around Naotsugu to get a better grip on him to regain her balance.

(Meanwhile)

Mayumi raised her hand towards the ceiling above her head, intending to activate her magic to create an ice dome around themselves to protect themselves from the debris.

"The ceiling is collapsing on top of us Erik, I will wrap both of us inside an ice cacoon to protect us from the debr—"

Before she could finish her words, a strong hand suddenly grabbed her waist and pulled her towards the owner of the hand.

Mayumi found herself within a firm grasp of Erik, the sudden pull from him caused her to put her hand on his chest to stabilise herself, she felt the tight muscles hidden beneath the attractive suit that Erik wore, she raised her head to look at his eyes.

He looked towards Mayumi, who was a quarter head shorter than him, her crimson eyes looking into his chartreuse phosphorescent eyes, as if in a trance.

"Close your eyes...."

Erik spoke in a soft tone which had a slight authority within his voice, the tone he had made it clear that his words weren't a request but rather something she had to do.

Those chartreuse phosphorescent eyes of his gave off a powerful feeling which was much different from the typical Erik she knew, his body wasn't giving off the calm feeling he usually had around him.

Rather, in the current situation, Mayumi could clearly feel pressure radiating from his warm and healthy body.

She didn't refute, she didn't rage, she didn't disobey....whatever you say, she did this because she felt like she must. For the first time could she feel the authority within Erik's tone.

She closed her eyes and allowed Erik to hold her as he did, she allowed him to keep her bound within his arms while multiple thoughts went through her mind.

Erik smiled looking at the Elven Princess following his commands and let out a smile.

'Good girl!...'

'Mei, help Katsuto save the politicians and others and meet me again at the floor below us...'

'As you wish Master...'

Both Erik's body and Mayumi's body were suddenly devoured by black shadows and they submerged into the ground.
