Kael opened his eyes, and for a moment, he thought he was dreaming. He was lying on a bed of furs, in a dimly lit cave, surrounded by strange faces. The people around him were dressed in rough animal skins, with unkempt hair and wild, feral eyes. They looked at him with suspicion and curiosity, as if he was something they had never seen before.

Kael sat up slowly, feeling a sense of disorientation and confusion. He remembered the hunters, the chase, the feeling of his consciousness slipping away. And then...nothing. Until now.

"Who are you?" he asked, his voice hoarse and uncertain.

One of the people stepped forward, a woman with sharp features and piercing eyes. She looked him up and down, as if assessing his worth.

"I am Aria, leader of the Clan of the Wolf," she said, her voice deep and resonant. "And you are an outsider, brought here by the winds of fate."

Kael felt a shiver run down his spine. He had heard stories of these so-called "clans," groups of humans who banded together for protection and survival. But he had never imagined that he would be among them.

"Where...where am I?" he asked, his mind reeling.

"You are in the land of the first humans," Aria said, her eyes narrowing. "A world of savagery and struggle, where only the strong survive."

Kael felt a sense of fear and wonder wash over him. He was no longer in his own time, that much was clear. But where was he? And how was he supposed to survive in this harsh and unforgiving world?

"You have been reborn," Aria said, as if sensing his thoughts. "Your memories and soul have been transferred to a new body, in a new time. You are what our people call an Eternal Wanderer."

Kael felt a sense of disbelief. This couldn't be real, could it? He was a modern-day boy, with modern-day thoughts and feelings. How could he possibly belong in a world like this?

But as he looked around him, at the rough-hewn walls of the cave, at the faces of the people who had taken him in, he knew that it was true. He was no longer in his own time, but instead, he had been transported to a world that was both ancient and mysterious. And yet, despite the fear and uncertainty that gnawed at his heart, he felt a sense of excitement as well. He had always been fascinated by history, by the lives of those who had lived before him. And now, he was a part of it.
