SOS

The next day.

After we ate breakfast, I decided to return to Andrew's house.

Before we left, I gave one satellite walkie-talkie to Lee so we can communicate in case of an emergency.

Hershel was quite sad that we all left, but I know better. The old man was friendly, but he didn't like to have strangers near his family. Speaking of Hershel's family, I got to speak with Shawn a little and I found that the boy was quite a good bro to have in the apocalypse . Maggie is an unknown variable. She was like a big sister, but at the same time, she was your nightmare. Beth…well, Beth is just like a rabbit. Shy and easily scared, that's why I decided to call her Rabbit as her nickname.

The farewell was quite sad for Beth. She developed a small crush on me and now that I had to leave, she couldn't control her emotions which made her cry. I'm sure that I saw Maggie giving me a "You are dead "glare when she hugged her younger sister.

I know that Beth has feelings for me, but I can't have another girlfriend. I'm scared that I would lose her if we end up together, but as much as I hate this feeling, deep down, I know that when I would find a safe place or when I would build it myself

Ten minutes later we were out of Hershel property. I was silent the whole time while Paul and Ellen talk between themselves. The saw how I was and decided to let me alone.

When we arrived at Andrew's house, it was already afternoon.

Entering the house, I was bear-hugged by Andrew.

Andrew: Hahaha, you are alive. Man, I thought I lost you. You are lucky that Hershel took care of you or you would have died.

Eric: I know.

Andrew: Ah, c'mon don't be shy. I know that you hit on Hershel's younger daughter. Take care of her if you two end up together.

Eric: …

Paul: Let the boy alone. Don't you have something to work on?

Andrew: Of course I have, but the kid is a top priority. He's "The leader "Right?

Paul: Of course he is.

Eric: Don't I have a say on this matter?

Paul: Not really. We don't want to lead a bunch of people. It would be too stressful for us, which led us to the current situation…You. You are the best candidate we have. You show us that you care for your companions and would protect them if needed.

Just as Paul finishes his sentence, Brian burst out of the living room.

Brian: Dad, we got an SOS call.

After he said that, Brian nodded at me. He knew that the call was more important than say hello to his friend.

Andrew: Take me there.

We all followed Brian into the living room where Jon was listening on the radio while Gale and Sonia were sitting on the couch drinking coffee.

Andrew got to work on the radio and in just five minutes he managed to make the radio able to be used to speak with someone.

Andrew: Andrew Carter,ex-marine here, Over.

Woman: Glad to hear a fellow soldier. Olivia Nod here. I'm with my copilot and four soldiers. We are requesting reinforcements so that we may survive this shit whole. We are in Macon at a supermarket, where our helicopter crashed. Fortunately, all of us survived, over.

Andrew: Olivia, I'll send three men to help you guys. They should arrive in T-80 or T-90. That depends on the road.

Olivia: Thank you. We will wait. Olivia , over.

After the call ended, Andrew turned towards us. I know what he wanted to say.

Andrew: Eric, I want you to take Paul and Jon with you and rescue those soldiers.

Eric: I have no problem with that.

Paul: Same here.

Jon: Neither do I.

Andrew: Good. Brian takes the watch, for now, the rest of you follow me to show you your new vehicle.

When we arrived in Andrew's garage, he showed us the new Humvee. The Humvee that we brought here was nowhere to be seen. Instead, we saw an armored hybrid. It still uses the Humvee carcass, but the tires were modified so that they would resist small-caliber weapons and spikes, the glass couldn't be replaced as we didn't have any bulletproof glass so Andrew added some bars to give us some protection. He also builds a turret on top of the Humvee so we can protect ourselves in case we are attacked.

Andrew: This is yours now. Take care of her and save our fellow soldiers.

Fifteen minutes later we were out of Senoia. The journey wasn't that long. Usually from Senoia to Macon, you would have to drive for 1 and a half to 2 hours to arrive at your destination.

Lee Everett POV

Kenny: We are out of gas. Let's find a place for the night.

Lee: Sure. Lead the way.

As we walked around, we saw a person behind a truck. Without any warning, Kenny decided to shout at the person hoping to find a person that would help us. Unfortunately, the person was alive, it was a walker.

If it was just that walker alone, we could have taken him down, unfortunately for us, Kenny's shout attracted the whole town to our location. The walkers quickly surrounded us. Without any escape path, we could only hope for a miracle.

One walker managed to grab Duck, but just in time to save the boy, a bullet hit the walker head, killing it instantly.

From the drug store, a woman and a man rushed out to help us.

When he gets inside the drug store, the older person from the new group started a fight with Kenny. Their subject was Duck. The old man, named Larry said that Duck was bitten which in our current situation would be bad, but Kenny said that it wasn't and it was just blood. When the situation becomes dangerous for both parties, I and another woman stood between them and managed to calm them both.

Asian guy: Guys? We are surrounded. How can we escape now?

Larry: When I said that the door would remain shut, nobody listened to me. Now we are trapped between a horde and an infected child.

Seeing that the situation was quickly becoming worse for them, Lee decided to try and contact Eric.

Lee: Eric, do you copy?Over!

Nothing, but Lee didn't lose hope.

Lee: Eric, please respond!

After the second try, Lee saw that his plan has failed, and now they would most likely die inside the store.

Just as he was about to find Clementine, his walkie-talkie picked a transmission.

Eric: Lee, I heard from you. What happened?

Lee: Thank God. We are in Macon inside the Drug store. Our group is surrounded by walkers and we don't have any supplies on us. Can you somehow help us?

Eric: I'm currently at approximately 40 kilometers away from Macon. We can save you. Just hang on there. Eric over.
