Macon

(I'm glad that some people are reading this book. If you find any mistakes or if you have any idea that may sound good on this story don't hesitate and write it down in the comment section.

As always, be safe and everyone will get a hot meat bun)

40 kilometres away from Macon Supermarket.

Jon: I don't like this feeling. This place seems too quite.

Paul: Indeed. I have a guess, but I hope that we won't have to deal with this situation.

Eric: All of the zombies in one place?

Paul: Exactly. The noise created by the crash was so strong that the zombie gathers at that location, making our rescue mission harder than it was. Plus the fact that we need to help your friend.

Eric: Let's get to the supermarket first.

Three hours later later, we arrived near the supermarket. Jon picked a hunting rifle and decides to be our support while I and Paul will clear the way for the soldiers.

Jon climbed on a nearby building through the fire escape ladder. When he was in position, Jon contacted us through a walkie-talkie.

Jon: I'm ready, but I got to say that we may have a problem.

Eric: What problem?

Jon: There's no way in hell, you two can make it inside the supermarket without getting bitten or killed. There are at least one hundred zombies here. God knows how many are hiding in those buildings or under cars.

Eric: Can we somehow contact Olivia?

Jon: I can try to connect on the general channel.

Five minutes later, Jon managed to get something on his walkie-talkie.

Jon: Jonathan Redwood here. Olivia Nod, do you copy?

Olivia: Olivia here. Jonathan, are you one of the men sent by Andrew?

Jon: Yeah, Andrew sends us. We currently are surveying the place. We could us some Intel on the situation.

Olivia: Bad, really bad. The whole supermarket is surrounded and some of them managed to get inside the building. My men are keeping the zombies away from the stairs, but sooner or later we will remain without any bullets. There's no way you could make it to our location without a tank.

Jon: Wait for a second; my boss wants to speak with you.

Without giving her time to say anything, Jon throws the walkie-talkie to me.

Eric: Eric Jarl here. Olivia, I have a plan, but I'll need you to cooperate.

Olivia: No offense, but are you a kid?

Eric: Sixteen years old, but I'm able to take at least 30 zombies before I die in a melee fight.

Olivia: Fine, I don't care, if you can save our lives, I will do anything.

Eric: I'll take that promise. As I said before, I have a plan, but I'll need your cooperation. Me and one of my men will ram through the building with our Humvee. When that happens, I want full cover fire from your men and if possible shot the zombies outside from the rooftop. When we are inside the building, we would ram through everything inside the building until we find the stairs. As it is really dangerous for anyone to be down there, we would block the door, which would stop the zombies from entering the stairway.

Olivia: I hope your crazy idea works. Where are you guys coming from?

Eric: Front door.

Olivia: Take a left-right when you enter the building then and you will find the stairway.

Eric: Thanks for the info. We are coming in T-10 minutes. When you heard the first shot from our man, begin yours too.

Nine minutes later, I was with Paul in our Humvee at 200 meters away from the target. We decided to get a little bit of speed boost before we ram through the building.

Eric: Ready?

Paul: Not really, but do we have another option?

Eric: No.

Paul started the car and in fifteen seconds we were near the building. Jon and Olivia's team begin to kill some of the zombies. Of course, the number of zombies killed was even close to a fraction of the horde.

Our car was getting closer and closer to the wall of the building. When we were 10 meters away, our car had 80 kilometers per hour. In the next second the whole portion of the wall crumbled while our car stopped halfway inside the building.

One minute later, we regained our bearings. Paul started the car again and immediately he found the stairway. With the car blocking the exit and with one door right in the place where the stairway door should be, I and Paul climbed through the window and got up the stairs.

When we arrived upstairs, we were greeted by Olivia and her team.

Olivia: Glad to see you two. That was a wild run you two did down there.

Paul: Thank you, it was just pure luck. Honestly, we thought that this rescue mission would be easy.

Olivia: Sorry for the trouble. Now, to move to the hard part. How can we enter the Humvee without abandoning anyone?

Eric: We can struggle a little with one person as the car can hold six people at once relatively comfortable. Which means that one of you would have to hold one person on their legs!

Olivia: Ok then. You will hold me then. As you are still a kid, I won't have any worries that you would accidentally touch me right?

Eric: No problem. Do you guys have any baggage?

Olivia: Ammo and our backpacks.

Eric: Good. We would load these things from the backseat.

Half an hour later, all of us were in the Humvee ready to escape the building. The car was already surrounded by zombies, but the Humvee managed to destroy every zombie in its path.

After we left the supermarket, Paul stopped near the building where Jon provided support for us to pick him up. He climbed on the car and stood there ready to shot in case of an attack.

After fifteen minutes, we finally found the drug store and as Lee has said, the place was surrounded by at least fifty zombies. Well, if it would have been before we had so many people with us, we would have to struggle to clear the place up. Now? We could blast through them easily.

Paul cut straight through the zombies, stopping in front of the building. We quickly exit the car and take a defensive position. The zombies noticed us quickly and soon they begin to walk towards us ready to eat. Unfortunately for them, we fired our weapons and five minutes later there were no zombies left.
