Prologue : A Fateful Encounter

In a place far east of the world, there's a city where people lived happily, it was known for its happy environment as well as its strong military force, but one day... The silhouette of a giant Dragon appeared, the city burned to the ground, and the sky got darker, the dragon attacked then...

All turned black.

On a ship in the eastern ocean, Nox wakes up from the nightmare, all sweaty and breathing heavily, Clutching his head in pain.

"It's that dream again!!" said Nox while leaning his back on the ship railing, when someone bumped into him kicking his feet.

"Hey, watch where you put your feet punk!" said the bald brute who bumped into Nox. Then a tall man with red hair and a strong body tried to defend Nox, but he interrupted him as the matter isn't worth the trouble, the red-haired man sits next to Nox.

"Are you ok?" asked the stranger with a curious face, and a look of concern. Nox replies that he's fine and there's nothing to worry about.

"Those people have become uncontrollable after the war, It was brutal, and I heard only a few survived. The people on the ship all come from different cities and backgrounds, but the common factor is that they're all survivors of a war that annihilated hundreds of thousands, that's why each survivor here considers themselves an elite" said the stranger.

"How can they still think that? surviving a war doesn't mean we're elites or special!" said Nox with a look of disappointment.

"Well, at least most of us aren't elites, but there is someone who has been the main gossip lately, I heard he's the last survivor of all the troops in the city of Blackwater, a strong spearman that fought the dragon head on, Oh btw I forgot to ask your name, how rude of me!" said the stranger.

" Don't be deceived by the rumours, my name is Nox, and I'm from Blackwater..." said Nox, but he was interrupted by the stranger who seemed annoyed.

" Hey dude cut it out already, a lot of people tried to impersonate him but they're all trash, you see even that tank man says he's the legendary dragon slayer, ridiculous!" the stranger is frustrated not to find the dragon slayer.

" I never said I was the one you speak of, I'm not even a spearman, and I am from Blackwater, but aside from that, I don't remember anything.." Nox has lost his memories, all his past is blurry, all he can remember is the shadow of a dragon.

" That memory will be stuck in your mind even if you forget everything!" said the stranger while looking at the clear sky.

" I have to find that dragon, that's the only way to regain my memories!" said Nox while clutching his hands.

" Then what? Get killed by it?" said the stranger with a mocking face.

" I have to get stronger, and find him no matter what!" replied Nox.

" Great ambition, I too want to find that legendary spearman, who fought it, If I can defeat a dragon slayer, I'll be as strong as the dragon!" said the stranger while he punches his fist in determination.

"Haha stop believing false rumours, so what's your name?" asked Nox.

"My name is Ke Raunos, I've come from a very faraway land. I left home and started my journey as a mercenary, and I heard they're recruiting in the army, so I decided to join" said Raunos.

" It's nice to meet you Raunos! Do you have any idea where we're going?" asked Nox.

" I heard from others that we're going to a Big city, they lack military forces, and they need soldiers as well as generals" replied Raunos.

"You want to be a general then?" asked Nox.

" I hope so, I heard the pay is good" Replied Raunos.

" The pay doesn't mean much if you die, but anyway, you should be used to it as a mercenary," said Nox while touching the tattoo on his right arm.

The ship rumbles, and cannons are shot, another boat is detected at a distance holding a black flag with a python head on it, it's a pirate ship!

"What the hell is going on!" said Raunos while itching for a fight.
